This is our neighborhood sports bar and restaurant - the one we can get to and back from in very little time that always has something we like to eat and drink cheap and we usually run into someone we know - and if not - we can play the video trivia/poker game for fun.  It is not always the best spot for a diet - I can't resist the kettle chips they serve with every sandwich - but when I am strong, they have a few items that aren't so bad - like the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken salad, or chopped salad - though you need to have them leave the cheese off to qualify here.  In our personal opinion, they have the best burgers in town - angus beef - so tasty - and big.  The stinky chips and buffalo dip are yummy appetizers.  Good fried fish  and a tasty ruben too.  The atmosphere is a bit loud - seems like either the TV or the music is turned up a bit too high, so everyone is shouting to be heard over it - which makes the noise level get greater as the place fills up.  The acoustics don't seem to help - a bit of bouncing off the walls.  The service is usually pretty good here and friendly.  A good beer selection on tap and by bottle and the standards for mixed drinks and wine.   They can get crowded on the weekends, so I recommend coming early on a Friday night.  They accomodate smokers well with a covered outdoor smoking area which is nice for everyone in the summer.  They have events too - karoake, trivia, cornholl.    The two Joe's (owners) are very friendly and welcoming.  Great prices.

I'll admit I'm a little biased towards Joe's simply because I live down the street, so it's a convenient place for my husband and I to gather friends and watch UofL sports. The menu has expanded a bit since it first opened, but all your favorite sports bar items are there. Wings, fried shrimp, burgers, etc. Be warned - the buffalo chicken dip is addictive. I don't know what Joe puts in it, but it's amazing. I'm also a fan of their coconut shrimp with the thai chili sauce as well as the southwest eggrolls. Service is good, management is even better, and there's more TVs than you can count. You're bound to find something to watch (and EAT) at Bungalow Joe's.

It's way the hell out in BFE. But it is apparently on a list of "Home of the Packers" in, you know....non-Wisconsin places. So I came here with some other friends to catch a Sunday afternoon game. They had the Packer game on the big screen in the bar area, with all the other games showing on smaller tvs around the place. They turned up the Packer game for us to hear (it was already playing but you couldn't hear squat).
The food was decent. Good, as it comes to bar food.
They seemed baffled about what I wanted when I ordered a Woodchuck Cider, and specified "amber" since they had 3 varieties in the cooler. I had to go back and point it out to them. And then they couldn't find a bottle opener to open my beer. Luckily....I travel prepared and had one in my purse. But come on....a little bar competency would have been nice.

The visit wasn't helped by the family sitting next to us who allowed their daughter/neice/whoever to fling around a bouncy ball all over the bar area, and subsequently all over the other patrons (aka: our table), running around and pushing people when her ball rolled under their table.
