Awesome place. Great beers. Everything from Belgium quads to 9% IPAs to bud light. Good atmosphere inside and at the outside bar. Def recommend to check it out to see if its your crowd. Young hip crowd on Thursday nights. Bar staff is pretty good. Overall Recommended.

I think Caffeine was being renovated or something.  We sat outside in the Tiki bar.  Our server was a little sarcastic and borderline rude at first but got better as the night went on.  As for the restaurant, the beer selection and atmosphere were great.  There was live music the night we went and they were great!  I had shrimp tacos, my husband had the lettuce wraps and a friend had one of their salads (not sure which one) and they were all delicious!

Although our server was annoying, I don't hold that against the restaurant.  I will definitely go back next time I'm in Ormond.

My experiences with Caffeine have varied wildly, but I don't know whether that's the fault of the patrons or the restaurant.  Maybe both, since the place does cater to a certain type of crowd.

My first visit there was a definite treat.  I had never been and so all the wonderful wall art was a great surprise - I am a huge SHAG fan, and there are some fantastic pieces here.  We showed up for a late lunch on a Saturday and the place was pretty dead.  We might have been the only two customers in there.  We split a wild mushroom pizza with bleu cheese and a balsamic drizzle that was absolutely fantastic.  I walked away with a good feeling about the place, especially after seeing the enormous tiki bar out back AND the Attack of the 50ft Woman mural on the wall behind it.

Visit #2 was with my partner and his brothers.  We stopped by maybe around 9 o'clock on a Thursday evening and the place was packed wall to wall with that sort of ...I don't know?  Early to mid 20s meat market crowd, I guess?   Very noisy and claustrophobic.  We got a table and waited about 20 minutes for our drinks.  We drank them, paid and promptly left.  Not our scene at all.  We could not get out of there fast enough.

The third time, just last week, was another quiet, late weekend lunch.  They don't open until 3 o'clock, so we were pretty hungry by the time they unlocked their doors. My companion got the pork shumai, I got a salad and we split a delicious loaf of fresh made bread and accompanying dipping oil.  The salad was, eh.  Well.  It was a salad.  Nothing special.  The dumplings, however, were very good - fresh, flavorful and quite sizable as well.  There was another couple dining at the same time as us, and so again, the place was more or less empty.  But not for long.  A crowd of about 10 drunken bicyclists crowded in through the door and cozied up to the bar.  I hate to be that person who sounds like the 90 year old man yelling at the damn kids to get off his front lawn... but they were loud and crude and obnoxious and it actually ruined our lunch - which up til that time had been rather pleasant and relaxing.  Turns out they do bar crawls on some sort of schedule and we just happened in on the wrong afternoon.  I'm no genius but that doesn't seem like a super great idea - bicycling around mid-day, under the hot Florida summer sun, to a series of bars wherein you proceed to refuel with...alcohol?
But like I said, what do I know?  Anyway, we left soon after.  If we - or you! - plan on dining at Caffeine mid day on the weekend, and you'd prefer a more low-key lunch, I am thinking a call ahead of time to the establishment might be in order.  I think the bars on the bicycling circuit might actually be sponsors of the thing (the cyclists were wearing tee shirts with sponsors on them) so perhaps the sponsors might have some sort of schedule.  Worth a shot, I suppose.

To sum up - excellent atmosphere (when you're there at the right time, i.e. not the weekend evenings or during a drunken bar crawl), fabulous artwork, a varied and delicious menu.  Definitely worth a visit at least once.   I've not yet enjoyed a cocktail at the tiki bar outside, but I plan to soon...I'll just remember to call ahead!

I enjoyed my visit to Caffeine.

I sat at the bar and had a couple of Magic Hat #9's, which were surprisingly inexpensive, and an amazing cobb salad.
The bar staff is young, hip-- and very attentive.
    The clientele are varied.

My favorite thing about this place is definitely the decor..
it has a vintage/retro thing going on... with a little rock-a-billy spaghetti western motif.

Probably one of the coolest places to hang-out.
*Unfortunately, it was raining when I came, so no Tiki-bar.

Stopped in this local place a couple of weeks ago thanks to Groupon. Had been there once before late night to listen to music in the bar, but this was my first time for dinner.  Really enjoyed the appetizers (egg rolls, onion rings and pot stickers). They were all very good!  Ordered Shrimp and Grits which also included sausage and peppers.  A bit strong / rich for my liking, but not bad.  Also at the table was a Lobster Mac and Cheese.  While it was pretty good, it was touted as being the best around. Sorry, but we think PJ's in New Smyrna Beach has better Lobster, Shrimp, Mac and cheese.  All in all though, good food, great service, a tiki bar out back and some interesting paintings from a local artist that kept us entertained. We will be back.

Walking up to the front of the building, we were hesitant to say the least.  I believe my wife and I were both thinking something along the lines of "not another one of these stupid fake yuppy wine bars".

We were dead wrong!  As soon as we walked in the door we were intrigued, and felt very comfortable.  The food was great, as is the beer list!  Afterwards we heard there was a tiki bar and deck out back, and we had the same doubtful assumptions.  When we walked out we were pleasantly surprised again!  We've been back multiple times since both in restaurant and outside and haven't a single complaint.  We recommend Caffeine to everyone!

I wanted to Love the outside TikiBar but was bitterly disappointed!  Friday night after handing over the car to a valet walked up the "plank" to a fun well appointed outside venue complete with a (mediocre) guitarist /singer AOK so far so good. Now for the bad. This place has no host and seating is a free for all-- my guess it's a cost cutting measure but it does the place a huge disservice.  To have a valet yet no one to welcome you?? Very strange. It felt super unorganized and with waitstaff running around unmanaged. (although they give off a friendly vibe)  The outside is big but they have huge tables so you might see an 8 top with 4 people -- you get the idea.  This is not NYC (where I'm from) where people actually do share tables but maybe that is the intent at Caffeine. If so they need to  make that very clear or Why not have LOTS of 4 tops and maximize flexibility??? The other down side is you have people camped out just drinking and listening to music not buying meals and no good reason to give up the table.   Maybe the live music shouldn't start until 9?? I just see them losing so much potential business.   My husband and myself waited for 15min before figuring out we could be in a fist fight over the next available table  and decided to go inside and eat.  There again we wandered aimlessly and had to ask the bartender where to sit.  Once again no host just a very "fly by the set of your pants" attitude.
The service was friendly but rushed and food took quite a while to come out but it was very good.

Unfortunately we won't be back to the TikiBar unless only for drinks!  I would be hard pressed to recommend it to anyone without the disclosure--the place is a free for all and don't go hungry!

I really want this place to be a huge success and the potential is there
It needs good MANAGEMENT In a bad way!!

Fun place. Good wine and beer selection. Great outdoor deck/tiki bar area. Good food. But, on both occasions I have visited service is SLOW. The place was not busy. There were plenty of staff. It's almost like they have been trained to make you wait for you glass of wine for some reason. Too bad, because this place has great potential.

I do not understand why they call it Caffeine. I would have never stopped in (since I'm not a coffee drinker) unless I had been invited to join a group. I thought the place had so much potential I brought a group of out-of-towners a couple weeks later. Haven't given up yet, but the slow service has been a frustration. Would have given 4 stars for sure, except for the service.

Love the atmosphere of the Tiki Bar. Food was exceptional. Really liked the Calamari.  Lots of value for the price. Service could have been more attentive, especially since it was early and not many tables filled.

Il love the lobster roll and bistro chips.and they have a great  wine list. The decor is cool and there is a little story about the little blue dog in the pictures just ask the bartender.

Ladies and gentlemen - this is a cool ass bar!

On our trip along the northeast coast of Florida, a friend of ours suggested this as a place to meetup for late night, post dinner drinks.

My first impression upon walking in was how cool the inside looked. Like a 1950's jazz club with neon lights and small tv's playing old movies at each table. Yes, I said small, personal tv's playing movies at your very own table. Nice!

The staff immediately greeted us and made us feel welcomed, then we headed out to the back (newly renovated, by the way!) patio to enjoy the weather.

    WHOA, ULTIMATE TIKI BAR, Y'ALL!

Sick patio! Money well spent if you ask me! (Rumor it was a hefty penny.) It was such a cool patio space though. The murals, the furniture, the outdoor bar. Talk about an insta-party mood swing!

The beer selection was pretty nice, with quite a few craft beers, and your usual favorites on draft - like domestics and Kona, which I hadn't tried until visiting FL.

I opted for red wine and was impressed by their wine list, which had more selections than I anticipated. Prices are more than reasonable.

Although we didn't try the food (we had just eaten dinner) there were multiple small plates that caught my eye.

I can see this place as one to come celebrate something awesome with friends or come for an after work drink.

    I felt cooler just visiting.

One of my fav hangouts! Love the staff and the regulars. They have AWESOME live music that does NOT suck. Clean friendly atmosphere. Outside seating is a huge plus. Great drink specials for locals on Wed.
Find for kids during the day. Evening is for adults.

Good Food, Great Wine and I love the atmosphere here. Its a fun place to go and just relax for a bit. Music is a little too loud at times, but is fun all the same. It used to be just wine and beer here but they now have a full service bar.

Parking awkward but everything else first class. Superior food in an energetic, engaging environment. A new favorite with good value.

At first I was confused by a restaurant that made me think of coffee, but billed it's self as a bistro and wine bar. It was a little difficult to procure parking, but once I figured out where, besides the street, was an acceptable place to park there was no problem. I really enjoyed the two things I have tried here: the crab cakes and the bistro pot pie. I was a little put off by the fact that in the week between my two visits the prices all went up by two dollars. That is quite a menu hike. It also seems to be hopping at night when there is live music. One word of caution, the service, while not horrible, is VERY slow. We went for lunch and it took two HOURS to complete the meal. Every aspect of the meal dragged. It took along time to place our order, receive our order, get our check, and to pay our check. If it were a dinner I would not mind that kind of long leisurely meal, but for lunch that is a bit long.

Update: when I went back again the menu went up another two dollars.  I hope this isn't going to continue.  The food won't be worth it.
