I had the baked scrod which was way too overcooked with some tasteless cream sauce.  The NE clam chowder was better, but not as good as Skippers.  We were with a large party and the waitress was attentive and really friendly.  Prices were on par w/other cape restaurants.  Skippers was the better choice of the two.

We recently ate at Captain Parker's after reading all the Yelp reviews.

We all had a good meal.

Here are some of the highlights and overall experiences.

The Chowder- Very rich. Almost too rich. Not heart healthy, but very good and filling.
The calamari app- Bland, chewy, and rings only.
Lobster roll- Very good and a generous portion for the price. My only comment was that the meat was warm, not chilled so it made me worry a bit in my head if it was sitting out in the kitchen.
Fish & Chips- Very good. The chips are very salty.

Service is attentive and quick, portions are decent and the food came out really fast.

    We would return.

Decent place, I was expecting more from the other reviews.

I went there twice. The first time I ordered the baked filled scrod, and my gf ordered the seafood platter. The scrod was ok (nice bell-peppery filling), while my gf was not estatic about the sauces the seafood came with. The second time we started with a clam chowder and a lobster bisque. The clam chowder was pretty good, while I was not impressed with the lobster bisque. I then ordered a lobster roll and she ordered the seafood scampi. The lobster roll was ok, although I prefer them more meaty, while this one has very small pieces with lots of mayo. For the price I was expecting bigger lobster pieces. It came with fries, and those were very good. The seafood scampi was a nice, big plate of seafood, but it was completely unsalted, and we had to add quite a lot of salt to make it palatable. The linguine in the plate were mushy and overcooked. We finished with a key lime pie, which was nothing special. Overall, I would recommend a visit if you are in the area for many days, but I would set my expectation straight, this is not a 4-star place.
