    We love the food here! The apps are all very good!  My favorite is Panco crusted anything.  This is a very family friendly place, however there is a bar in the middle of the dining areas.  This place is a little off the path however I promise it will be worth it!   There is also great specials each day.

    They have heard the reviews, and the service has gotten better. I went there after buying a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> certificate first, and then reading the reviews on Yelp. I admit, I was a little anxious. From the road, they looked closed, and when we walked in, all the customers were at the bar, and there were no servers in sight. It's much more of a sports bar than a truck stop, which one reviewer wrote. A hostess came from the back right away, and was very pleasant. The menu is complete, and based on a review, I went for the prime rib that they only have on Saturday and Sunday. It was a little dry, and the baked potato was served with butter in those little foil packets that don't quite soak into the potato. I got steamed veggies, which were pretty bland, until I dipped them in my sour cream. My friend got the portabella mushrooms as a side, and she said they were good. The food was okay, but the service was excellent. The shark in the tank looked sad. I'm just sayin'. Sharks are meant to be in the wild. But check this place out. It's worth the drive out from Racine.

    My boyfriend and I decided to give Captain's Cove a try tonight. We were seated promptly and our server came to our table rather quickly. He did, however, squat next to our table which was a complete turn off. We ordered drinks which did take a long time to arrive, and they continued to take a long time for the entire duration of our dinner. We ordered appetizers, crab stuffed mushrooms and the scallops (deep fried) and they were exceptional. And after these arrived at our table we had extremely high hopes for our meals. My boyfriend ordered the Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon Medium rare for 22 dollars, I ordered the Surf and Turf, a Filet Mignon with Lobster tail for 35 dollars, my steak should have been prepared Medium. We ordered soup instead of salad bar. Our soups didn't arrive until after our meals arrived and we asked for them. The soups weren't anything special. Our steaks were cooked well and were both butterflied open for stuffing, however, my steak shouldn't have been because it wasn't supposed to be stuffed with anything. His steak had good flavor but was not cooked like he had asked. We understood the restaurant was busy because of their fish fry and could over look a temperature issue with one steak. My plate was awful. The steak was well done, and stiff. I sent it back asking it to be remade. The server took it back and had no issues replacing it. The lobster tail was ruined. It was so tough  that I had to use a steak knife to cut just a piece off. Over cooked to the max! The owner came to our table and agreed to remove the cost of our meal from our bill, she also removed my boyfriend's meal as his was cooked incorrectly and he refused to eat it. The owner's explanation for all of this was that it was fish fry Friday and they were busy (mind you, there were several open tables in the restaurant at the time). She also told us that her chef had over 30 years experience and he may have had his Sioux chef make our dinners. We left thinking that if the chef had 30+ years experience he would have made sure that the $50 worth of food that was coming to our one single table would have been a priority versus the 8.00 fish frys, and that any chef worth their pay double checks every thing his kitchen staff puts out.
