  Worth your time if driving on I57 stop for lunch dinner. I had curry chicken. Really good greens rice beams corn bread great. Sweet potato pudding desert all for just over ten bucks.

  Caribbean Delite lives up to it's name. I have been several times and they never disappoint. They serve delicious food and the portions are almost as generous as the owner! The jerk chicken is fantastic - nice and spicy. The meals are a great value.
  
  Remember not to skip desert! We were able to sample several and they were all amazing!
  
  If you are traveling on I-57, passing through Kankakee, this establishment would be easy to get to from exit 312. It will be vastly better than another fast food burger.

  This was my first time trying this restaurant, I WILL BE BACK!
  Food was excellent, service was excellent, the place was clean. I ordered the Sunday special- one meat, three sides & dessert for under ten bucks! The gentleman behind the counter was super nice, gave me a sample of some of the other items on the menu, every thing was very tasty. Very customer service orientated. Great food, excellent service, reasonably priced...what more could you ask for! Side note-the previous review commented on the music, this is true the music is loud however I enjoyed the music, It made the atmosphere fun!

  Very nice man behind the counter named Newton who gave us samples of brown stew and jerk chicken.  He just moved into this location three months ago.  The desserts are homemade and exceptional.  The best bread pudding and brownies I ever had in my life.  If you like spicy homemade food, this place is great for you.  The music playing is a little loud though it is reggae so expect a casual atmosphere.  It would be great for lunch with a friend or an early dinner.  Newton had the greatest laugh and was very congenial.
  
  I will say the chicken is wonderfully tender and moist and flavorful to the bone, like my husband says. If you are squeamish about bones...avoid the jerks, but the stew may be a viable option.  
  
  Flavors are true to traditional Caribbean cuisine but my husband suspects the spice level of the jerk was toned down for an American palette.  
  
  The greens were very tasty though the cabbage salad was fresh and not soggy.  I must give it five stars since it fulfilled my comfort food need and at the same time I left in a good mood.  
  
  At the very least if you don't like spicy food get the dessert!
