Cary Public House

I recently moved to Cary and stopped by on a Saturday night. Did not eat but live blues (I don't know if it is a regular thing), really good beer, great selection, very reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere- you can tell that the guy who poured my beer really cares about the quality of beer he serves. Definitely will be a regular. Cheers!

This is mainly for the variety of beer. A local friend recommended this place. A great surprising find in the Chicagoland area to sample beer with a group of people. I appreciate Sherman's knowledge on beer. My taste buds were awakened with every new bottle pour that I couldn't get at my nearest local pub. A different type of stemware for many variety was impressive.

Read David B.'s of Cary, IL review. I agree except I didn't have the opportunity to try the food. I believe there are scheduled beer tastings. Check with the owner. If you live far, stay at the Holiday Inn at Crystal Lake.

I heard the place can get crowded at night in the pub. Our Saturday night was quiet. Sat at the bar with good view of Bulls game. Live band played jazz. Over the music, I was still able to carry a conversation. Old school decor you would probably see in the movies. Clean and simple. Walking distance from the Metra. I would go back. A trip worth planning.

The manager does a good job trying to generate business. The owner does not appear to want to be there and is challanged by customer service
