I love Ihop in general, because I'm addicted to lingonberries. First thing I notice as we were being seated, was an older waitress joking around with a group of customers that would stereotypically not be treated well. I was impressed! We had a different waitress who was just as fantastic! When my Swedish Crepes came out with just a tiny eensy bit of lingonberry butter and maybe 6 actual lingonberries, our waitress pointed out the skimpiness of the kitchen before she even set the plate down - she went back to the kitchen and brought me out the lingonberries and butter that should've been on my crepes to begin with. YAYYY!!!
If it wasn't an hour and a half away, this would be my fav Ihop! They also gave us coupons for discounts upon return, but alas, too far.
We were in the area and we were just looking for something quick and familiar. I think that this place can seat a s many people as all of the IHOPs in the City limits of Chicago can combined! I have been to some big IHOPs before but this place massive! The place was also packed.
The food was typical IHOP breakfast fare. It was what I expected and it was served hot in a timely manner. What more could I ask for? Our server was really friendly and on top of her game. The entire staff did a great job of keeping the flow of people moving and it seemed like they were all on top of their game,. A tip of my hat to the staff and management here.
So... I've eaten here many more times since my last review and it's past due for an update I think.
Probably the best way to experience this place is to go in the morning (duh, right?). Seems like that is when they have the "A" team working. Pretty much you order your food and (if it's not too terribly busy) it comes magically out of the kitchen in less than ten minutes. Fast is good!
I think this place is "great" for kids (they love all the different types of syrups) but I don't not as great for groups since things slow down the busier it gets in there.
