I wish I could have rated this place (no, it does not deserve to be called a restaurant) with zero stars. It was so bad that I dont really know where to start.

I'll start by saying that the concierge of my hotel recommended this place.  Typically, it is a good idea to listen to the concierge as they often know what they're talking about. I listened, and it was probably the worst food decision I have ever made. In my life. Ever. I cant say I have any idea why the hotel recommended this place, but if I had to venture a guess I would say that money was involved.

Things started going downhill the second I opened the menu. As I recall, almost every appetizer was at least $10 (canadian), and most of the descriptions weren't too appetizing. Then, I flipped to the main courses page. I don't remember to much about it now, but the one thing that still stands out in my mind is the price of the Fettuccine Alfredo. I don't really care how good it might have been (I didn't have it , but compared to the rest of the food, it couldn't have been very good) I've never heard of a restaurant that charges $18 for plain old Fettuccine Alfredo (if you want chicken in it, that'll be $23).
I ordered the lasagna, because I figured that it would be really hard to screw that up. I was wrong. It was AWFUL. The "house-made" pasta was overcooked to the point that it was the "opposite of al dente." The marinara sauce was very watery yet still very sweet (i like to avoid having sugar in my marinara, but thats just me. Or is it?) There was also supposedly "ground sirloin" inside. If it really was (which I doubt), then it was by far the WORST sirloin that i have ever had, being dry and flavorless among other things. The menu also said that the pasta was house made. If I had stopped to think about how a restaurant could afford to put ground sirloin and house made pasta into a lasagna, I would have realized that neither were true. Odds are that that thing that was put on my plate came out of the microwave. One of the other people in my party ordered the pasta dish with seafood (don't remember the name, but it stands out well enough). I (or you for that matter) cannot imagine the ordeal she went through trying to ease her hunger.  I had shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and crab (the crab  ironically didn't show up on the menu). The shrimp were (and I quote) "the most tasteless shrimp I've ever had." The clams had no shells and were chopped up in the pasta, and the crab was supposedly a combination of imitation and real crab (the latter half of that, I suspect to be a lie). And odds are "that it all came out of a can." Another member of my party ordered veal, which I tried, and I am sure that it was a patty. We could've had better food at Olive Garden.

We were duped into thinking this place was an "authentic Italian" restaurant by someone from the restaurant but anyone who tried that hard to get people to eat there had something to hide. Sadly, we didn't spot it.
The food was not great at all - bland and watered down pasta sauce. Large portions but tasteless. Service was great however this didn't help the taste much!
I wish we went to a steakhouse or something and spent good money on good food!

Avoid this place like the plague. Worst Italian food I've ever had. Penne bolognese sauce was thin and watered down. The veal francese was mostly breading--if there was any meat, it was chewy.  The caesar salad wasn't terrible (and it was fun to watch it being made table side), but it didn't help that our server dumped three cups of parmesan cheese on it--oh, and the croutons were too soft and had a serious "off" taste to them. The decor is tacky and gaudy--I felt like I walked into a cheesy amusement park with an old Italy theme--and it doesn't help that it's smack in the middle of the hideous touristy area of Niagara Falls--definitely not a romantic place for couples. Do yourself a favor and spend your $100 somewhere else--I bet the fine dining restaurants in the larger hotels and casinos are a million times better than this dump.
