We went with some friends who had found free tickets on Kijiji. We didn't want to wait in line for the doors to open, so we sat right at the back. The buffet is served at the rear of the room, farthest from the stage and close to the washrooms.  There is a support pole that obstructs the view(though only a little) if you are seated right at the back.  The buffet was served from front of the building to the rear. Service was on the slow side for drinks, because there just aren't quite enough servers. The emcee made a point of mentioning that the pasta sauce is "award winning". They don't say which award, who awarded it, or how long ago. I suspect the can of Ragu they opened made the same claim. The sauce was meatless. If you want meatballs or sausage you can get that by paying a few bucks more(we didn't bother).  Despite being a buffet; it is not "all you can eat".  There was juuuust enough for one serving each and you were only allowed one bun. Drinks also cost extra, which is how they hope to make their money back. Fill out the ballot for free tickets that is on your table. I'm pretty sure almost everyone wins them, and it's a great deal when you think about it. We only paid $17 plus tip (which was 1 alcoholic drink, 3 cokes, and a bottle of water). Our friends paid a bit more due to beer. They seem to claim to sell it buy they pitcher, but run out right away so they can charge more for the bottle. I offered to pour the bottles into pitchers for them, but they didn't find that amusing.  For the comedy, it really all depends who they have in that week. They range from fairly well known comics to no names. At any rate, it was a cheap date night for a dinner AND a show.  In fact, we're going again tonight!

Tucked away from the main strip in Niagara Falls, House of Comedy provides a stage, a meal, and a typically packed venue for you to come and have a good laugh.  Family owned and operated, this independent club books acts from all over North America.  Only two shows are run a week on the Friday and Saturday which may go some way in explaining why the rooms are typically full for each night.

What makes the room somewhat challenging is that it is just one big room.  The buffet dinner and show are served all in the same place, with a bar taking up the length of the back wall across from the stage.  Sight-lines are not an issue, but you'd do well to sit close to the front.  The further back you are, the further you are from the action and the closer you are to the bathrooms.  Probably not the best seats in the house.

Showing its diversity, House of Comedy also runs Karaoke, which could be considered to be a form of comedy.
