We were greeted promptly by a waitress, and told we could sit anywhere, followed by a warm and friendly Happy Fathers Day greeting. Â We chose the corner table, unaware of its "troubled past". Â
The new owners also own a bar on White Spar road, and have slightly cleaned up the place; it looked inviting for a building with a rich past.  All the staff was friendly.  They offer several  specials, day-of-the-week offerings and a white board for special-specials.
Our waitress was Patty, who was prompt in greeting us, taking drink orders, and assisting us with our orders.  My party had the Prime Rib, Baby Back ribs with crab legs, and grilled chicken sandwich.  The salad was a generous portion  with iceberg, romaine and greens, red onions, croutons, radishes, and cherry tomatoes.  The blue cheese dressing was very tasty and had large chunks of cheese in it.
The Prime Rib was about an inch thick, nicely colored and had a flavorful bark (crust), and was worth having again. The Au Jus was good, the horseradish had a typical flavor. Â The chicken sandwich was breast meat which had a slightly charred flavor and was just ok. Â The sweet potato criss-cut fries were really good. Â The baked potatoes were cooked just right, and tasted good. Â The Baby Back ribs did fall off the bone, with the meat texture a balance of thick and chewy. Â The crab legs shell was soft enough to break with fingers, the provided cracker was not needed. Â The crab meat was typical.
Overall the service and food were good and we had a positive experience. Despite being at the "troubled table" our dining experience was not troubled. Â The curse has been broken. Â We will go back again.
