This is the worst place ever. I should have figured that when I walked in. The place was completely empty. I ordered a steak platter and the stupid waiter spilled my coke on my food. He uses his hand towel to soak it up and then expected me to eat the food as they did not offer to replace the meal. Also, get this, they have a kids menu, and on it they have "Grilled Cheese", so being in the United States of America where 99.9999% of the places that have grill cheese on the menu you would expect a sandwhich, instead they bring out a queso fundido, which is a mexican cheese dish with chorizo...WTF!!!! I said we ordered a grill cheese and they immediatley got defensive and said "well the menu doesn't say it's a sandwhich" I got the distinct impression this scene had been played one to many times hear. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE!!!!. For that matter how stupid can I be for going to a place like Cazadores. YUK!!!!
Review Source:I've gone there about 5 times, I really enjoy the chicken fajitas and their horchata. My boyfriend usually gets the carne asada, which is also good. The only thing that sucks is the service. The waiter and waitress I've gotten are both very dry and not very friendly at all, and that goes for all the times we've gone.
Review Source:We eat because our stomachs get hungry and when your starving sometimes food can just taste better. I was at the Blues on the Fox festival and was ready to chow down and tacos smelled good while walking by Cazadores tent. Their chicken desabrada tacos where a knock out! I've been to Cabo San Lucas and this is how they are done down there. This is authentic and this is what I've been looking for. Remember, this is the only thing I've had from here and it wasn't even at their restaurant but now I'm going to stop by their place and I shall update the rest of my review then.
Review Source:We have been here many times, for food and just to sit at the bar.
Not a bad place, food is decent but service can be spotty at times.
You need to remember this is a Mexican Restaurant, not Taco Bell.
All of their food has a definite Mexican taste regardless of what you order.
People are friendly and the part time bartender Denese is my kinda gal!
Anyway, it's worth a shot if you are in the area.
This is the only Mexican food in Chicagoland that I find tolerable. Enchiladas are usually great (I say usually because i have had some that aren't consistent). My husband loves their Chimichangas. The one he orders is not on the menu and they will always make it. Their margaritas always seem to have too little of tequila and parking can be hard if they are busy.
Review Source:NOW CLOSED
Quality Mexican food. Service can be on the mediocre end but seems to be improving. This family-owned and -operated restaurant used to be a somewhat infamous roadhouse bar. It has been completely renovated and it sparkles. Parking in back with a narrow driveway from Lake Street/Route 31.
