My husband and I stopped here on a Friday afternoon. The service was good and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck. The inside is beautifully done. However, there was a very limited selection of wine by the glass. And the limited menu of food items that they had was significantly overpriced. We most likely won't be going back. Too bad, since we were really looking forward to Wine bar close to home.
Review Source:As far as wineries in the area are concerned, this is not that great. Â My friends and I decided to try Cellar 59 when it first opened and we were disappointed in not only the prices, but also the wine itself. Â They have quite a large selection, but none of it is made on-site. Â It was like going to a grocery store, picking out a wine, and spending a lot of money for them to open it for you. Â The food pricing was also outrageous. Â I believe it was $9 or $10 for a small and simple tomato and mozzarella salad. Â Their desserts were also in the $8-10 range. Â I had called ahead to ask if you were allowed to bring your own food, and was quickly told "No". Â The acoustics inside made it difficult to hear conversation that was happening at your own table. Â The parking situation was also a mess. Â I literally got boxed in and could not leave when I wanted to. Â Luckily, my friends took me in their car and we went to another location until I could retrieve my car. Â
The pros would include friendly staff and the house is nice looking inside and out. Â Unfortunately, I think that this place will not last long once the initial newness wears off. Â There are much better and cheaper wineries around (Red Horse and Wolf Creek are two of my favorites).
