The Port Vixen was amazing I'd get another bottle next time I'm there. service was slow on a busy night and the dessert chocolates were very skimpy. I think we only got 5 pieces for 2 people and it was $10? something overpriced plus when one fell on the floor they didn't offer to give us another piece :(
Review Source:I was invited by a very close girlfriend to a wine tasting on a Friday night about 3 months ago. I am hooked! LOVE it. I enjoy their Saturdays wine classes, and the 4 monthly wine tasting events I have attended. I will go by myself, and just enjoy it & meet new people. I also went to the Lunch Bunch networking meeting held last Thursday of the month. It was great, and I received such great business and referrals. This place is by far my favorite in Katy!
Review Source:Upon arriving at this place, i thought, "what the heck, what an odd location for a wine place." However, once inside, i was pleasantly surprised. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, and best of all, no waiting in line for a table! (maybe because I was there at 4pm..on a saturday)
Ordered two bottles of wine: ($20-25)
Queens of heart: savory, flavorful, delicate, light and subtle.
Trio Rosso (produced onsite): concentrated, has more depth & richness, well-balanced aftertaste.
Ordered three plates: ($10-20)
Hummus and pita: mediocre. Nothing memorable.
Grilled beef tenderloin: love the tomatoes, beef could be more tender.
Artisan meat and cheese plate: love the cranberries (looks like raisins), the expresso/lavender cheddar has a strong aftertaste, but goes well with the wine.
This place gets a solid 4 for their live music entertainment. Thanks to Sarah and Phoenix, my friends and I had a blast!
