Although this place is tons of fun. They are very unresponsive when it comes to scheduling events. I work for a mayor global food company and I requested a date for an event. They replied 3 days after my initial email and voicemails with an email confirming the date availability. Then I tried reaching back for updates on the time I required and when I finally got a hold of Daniel Kaucher, their event sales manager, he had no time available for me. He committed to giving a call back after reviewing the calendar and, after a day waiting, he sends an email denying the availability. I replied to his email asking for more details and he never replied back. Poor business and relationship skills.
Review Source:This is the perfect corporate outing or place to take clients. The food is really excellent- I recommend the wings! - and a great selection of drinks.
I like that you can just show up and play- no need to bring your own clubs (unless you want) and you don't have to go collect a bucket of balls. The targets that you aim for make the driving range fun, and thank goodness for the red targets just a few yards away for us VERY beginner golfers.
Our server came around often to make sure we had everything we needed. I didn't organize the evening so I can't speak for the ease of reservations, wait times, membership cards, etc. But showing up and playing with little instruction was quite easy.
I noticed they also offer classes from pros, which is something I'd definitely be interested in. TopGolf is far less intimidating than a country club or driving range for a new golfer.
We had a great time and will definitely be back the next time we visit Houston.
Most fun I've ever had a a driving range! My boyfriend now knows how to get me to come with him when he wants to do some golfing. I've always found a driving range boring, but Top Golf makes it more fun by turning it into a game.
I can't talk about the hassle of wait time as I went for a company event and we had lanes reserved. The automatic ball dispensers are convenient however can be faulty. Some times I would have two balls come out at once. They have a set of men's clubs and women's clubs on each lane as well as space for you to being your own clubs. I'm a short person and I must say some of the women's clubs were still too long for me. Sigh...
As for food, we had the beef satay, potstickers and quesadillas. I wasn't impressed with the satay or quesadillas. Both were very appealing and the satay were kind of chewy. The potstickers weren't bad so I might consider those again. Other than that I thought the waiters were pretty attentive with getting us our drinks. Our lane were even getting tips although it was probably because of how bad we were hitting. I swear I'm a hazard and I apologize to all future people next to me in the other lane. I tend to hit air balls that my coworker had great fun in calling Wendy balls.
Overall great fun and I'll definitely be back.
