Although this place is tons of fun. They are very unresponsive when it comes to scheduling events. I work for a mayor global food company and I requested a date for an event. They replied 3 days after my initial email and voicemails with an email confirming the date availability. Then I tried reaching back for updates on the time I required and when I finally got a hold of Daniel Kaucher, their event sales manager, he had no time available for me. He committed to giving a call back after reviewing the calendar and, after a day waiting, he sends an email denying the availability. I replied to his email asking for more details and he never replied back. Poor business and relationship skills.

This is the perfect corporate outing or place to take clients. The food is really excellent- I recommend the wings! - and a great selection of drinks.

I like that you can just show up and play- no need to bring your own clubs (unless you want) and you don't have to go collect a bucket of balls. The targets that you aim for make the driving range fun, and thank goodness for the red targets just a few yards away for us VERY beginner golfers.

Our server came around often to make sure we had everything we needed. I didn't organize the evening so I can't speak for the ease of reservations, wait times, membership cards, etc. But showing up and playing with little instruction was quite easy.

I noticed they also offer classes from pros, which is something I'd definitely be interested in. TopGolf is far less intimidating than a country club or driving range for a new golfer.

We had a great time and will definitely be back the next time we visit Houston.

Most fun I've ever had a a driving range! My boyfriend now knows how to get me to come with him when he wants to do some golfing. I've always found a driving range boring, but Top Golf makes it more fun by turning it into a game.

I can't talk about the hassle of wait time as I went for a company event and we had lanes reserved. The automatic ball dispensers are convenient however can be faulty. Some times I would have two balls come out at once. They have a set of men's clubs and women's clubs on each lane as well as space for you to being your own clubs. I'm a short person and I must say some of the women's clubs were still too long for me. Sigh...

As for food, we had the beef satay, potstickers and quesadillas. I wasn't impressed with the satay or quesadillas. Both were very appealing and the satay were kind of chewy. The potstickers weren't bad so I might consider those again. Other than that I thought the waiters were pretty attentive with getting us our drinks. Our lane were even getting tips although it was probably because of how bad we were hitting. I swear I'm a hazard and I apologize to all future people next to me in the other lane. I tend to hit air balls that my coworker had great fun in calling Wendy balls.

Overall great fun and I'll definitely be back.

I'll start with the bad just to get it out of the way. $40 an hour!? Do I look like Bill Gates!? Wait a minute, I'm not a dude. Do I look like Oprah Winfrey!?

Whew, that was difficult. Now onto the good....

I love Top Golf! I know it's been around for quite a while, but whether I've been working or the line has been too long for me to bear, I haven't gotten to check the place out until now. After today, I can see why the line is always out the door...!

Top Golf is so fun and I picked the perfect fall day to go. With barely any wait at all, my golfing partner and I headed up to the third floor to  look for the area where we'd be breaking out our best golf swings. After a few...err, many...false attempts at hitting the ball, I finally got the hang of it and even got a few in the targeted areas.

The hour went by not too fast and not too slow and coupled with some cold beers and fabulous people watching, I soon saw how this game could be SO addicting. I can't wait to go back, but this time with more people so we can split the $40 and enjoy golf with one another!

    This set up is hip.

I went here once, but was not able to play golf, because it was 2hr wait on a friday night. We played foosball instead and hung out in the lounge instead. I had a great time.

First time here. Really impressed. The concept is like bowling but better you dont have to put on those bowling shoes! For $20 an hour it is a bargain and a great group activity for a laid back Saturday or Sunday. Family friendly atmosphere. You don't need to bring your own clubs.

Good experience.   Expensive but a lot of fun.  Don't need to be good at golf to enjoy

omg, this place is so great!!!

first off, the establishment looks like a vegas hotel. the drinks were both weak and pricey ($10/per) but I let it slide because I've already come to expect that from Houston bars. The food was actually quite alright! I had the quesadilla and the tater tots with chipotle sauce (HIGHLY recommend eating everything with chipotle sauce)!

After an obnoxious wait time, an hour and a half, you are walked over to your own little section... think vegas table service... you get your own couches, coffee table, and a view of the wonderful driving range. The price is $40/hr for your driving range section and you can split the cost between 6 people. Additionally, you'll need a member card which costs $5.

PRO TIP: Ask to NOT be on the first floor or the left side. It's much better on the 2nd or third floor and driving from the right side of the range.

Anyways, just go. You'll have a blast.

It was my wife's first time in a golf range and we had lots of fun, I would definitely recommend this place to someone new at golf. It is a great place with a cool atmosphere, the food is ok but the drinks are really good specially the sangria

Top Golf is a high energy bar / driving range. It is a bit dramatic walking in, and walking up into the driving range bays. I wont repeat what others said about how it works but I will comment that the food and drinks were acceptable and staff was friendly. Parking is fair as you are likely to find yourself parking in the street or paying $7 to valet. However I think this is an excellent place to try for something different, or for a non-traditional date night. Bring gloves if you play golf as the clubs they provide for free will leave your hands dirty / black.

I've been wanting to try this place since it's opening but the timing was never right until this week!  As others have mentioned the facility is really nice with three tiers of driving ranges and each bay has a fancy computer system that allows you to play.  However, there are a few obstacles to jump through till you can actually play.  First, If it is your first time, you must buy a membership, I just went with the lifetime $5 membership which includes free club rental, but if you are really into this stuff and not a n00b like me then you might want to consider the following:

$100/year Gold membership: free rental + welcome gift +1 VIP Priority Pass + 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverage discount + free group coaching + league invites +$1,000 hole-in-one prize

$250 per month AKA Super High Roller: Same as Gold + free Platinum Callaway Upgrade + unlimited VIP Priority Pass + unlimited play Mon-Thur till 6 PM + unlimited play Fri-Sun till 12 PM + $120 Peak play per month+ 10% event discount + Platinum drinks + invitation to exclusive events + $100 Initiation fees

The next obstacle to overcome is the wait, we called before heading over around 7 PM and was told there would be no issue with getting a bay.  Sadly this was not the case and we ended up waiting for over an hour which in retrospect isn't bad compared to other reviewers who had to wait longer.  To keep you preoccupied there is a drinking bar/lounge area, shuffleboard, pool table, life size Connect Four and I think even Xbox or some type of gaming device.  We ended up spending most of our time at the bar and that was quite an interesting experience.  Our waiter was very special...When we asked for a drink menu he gives us a food menu, he didn't smile, and he kept on messing up that another waiter even asked if everything was ok.  Too polite to say anything we said yeah, but in reality many things were wrong.  Strike one, when preparing drinks, don't touch your eyebrow and then use the same hand to squeeze in the lime.  Strike two, ordering two Arnold Palmers, the first was a reddish hue and the other one the color of iced tea.  Confused, we asked our waiter if these are the same, he said yes but accidentally pressed the wrong button (cranberry). Strike 3, bf was about to reach for his drink  and it was missing, our waiter thought someone just left it and decided to throw it away...we were still sitting right by the drink.

Anyways enough of the drinking fiasco, we were finally texted to let us know our bay was ready and it was game on!  To start playing, each player swipes their membership card and also pays.  It is $40 per hour noon-close but if you can get there before noon it is only $20 per hour!  Then you have a few games to choose from and as others have mentioned this form of golf is like darts.  The layout of the green is in color zones and depending on the game, you have to aim for the designated target zone (the closer you are to the center the higher your points).  If your ball lands in the incorrect zone then you lose points.  For those who are lost with golf, each bay has its own set of clubs and there is a guide to help you choose which one to use.  Oh and I forgot to mention be careful how often you pass your club in front of the sensor to release the ball as it might throw off the ball count.  I found this to be very easy when you are impatient, confused, and/or a bit tipsy.

Overall, this is definitely a fun place to go but be prepared to spend money.  It is amazing how easy they make it for you to spend money.  Membership fee, drink/food, yes they have an extensive menu from flatbread pizza/wings to gumbo and burgers/salads, oh and if you want to make a reservation, it is an extra fee.  If you have some extra time, need a place to hangout (each bay fits 6 people), or just need a good stress reliever stop on by!

We just discovered Top Golf about four months ago. What an awesome place for team building. Our finance team rented out the 2nd floor and had ourselves a good time. There are three floors, so today, we rented out the 3rd floor. I think 2nd was the optimal shooting place for me.

The food was a lot better than I expected and you just can't go wrong with an open bar!

I'm not much of a golfer but I had a really good time there. We used to go to Dave and Busters, but now this place will be our hangout spots. Some of my coworkers ordered the fishbowl, yup, it's college all over again.

I don't even like golf all that much, but this is like a giant arcade version of a driving range, they even provide very decent clubs in each bay. It's a bit pricey going with a small group, but the bays fit 6 and the service is pretty good. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles here!

Top golf is a great place to go and gets more people interested in golf.  If you're a serious golfer, this might not make your list.  But for people looking to have a good time and have a  good experience with golf, this is fun.

It's a three tiered driving range.  They have a full bar and food.  They have a rooftop outdoor area to relax as well as a place for pool and darts.  Everyone can find something to do here.  The facility is really nice. They have chips in the balls to measure distances and keep score during different games.  It's pretty cool.

The staff is more or less good.  This varies by individual.  The first time I went, Tiffany did an excellent job.  I went yesterday, and the person working our area wasn't overly helpful.  We asked for additional water, and she seemed bothered.

    Downside
It is ridiculously expensive.  You can go to a driving range for under $10.  They charge an arm and a leg for the experience here.  Which is fun, but only makes it worth it in groups.  For the same price you could play 2 full rounds of golf at a decent club.

    Overall
Worth it.  Give it a shot, you will like it.  Don't expect a cheap night.  The more that go, the cheaper it will be.  Plan accordingly.

Cool place to hang with friends, grab some drinks, eat and oh yea...play golf!

I went here for a friend's birthday party and had a good time. There's no need to bring clubs, as they're provided to you. We each took turns hitting a few balls off of the deck or in my case, hitting the ground with my club. To be fair, this was my first time playing a form of golf outside of put put.

As far as food is concerned, you can't go wrong ordering the wings. I tried every flavor and honestly cannot pick a favorite.

I'm definitely looking forward to going back and improving my game!

Say whaaaaat?!?! So much fun!! We had a group of 10 so we were able to make a reservation. Highly recommended!! When we drove up to the valet at 7:30 he asked if we had a reservation... if not, the wait was 5 hours!  Who is waiting 5 hours?!?!  It's good... but not that good :)  It's a little pricey... but think of it as upscale bowling... only with golf clubs?

Also, I have never played golf in my life.  My husband is a golfer, as were most of the other guys, but most of us ladies had never swung a club.  It was still a blast!

We had our own waiter and he was on top of it!  I'm sure he had other customers but we would have never of known.  Food came out quick and hot... for a place this big I could see where it would be easy to mess up.  Everyone ordered something different... my husband had a burger with an egg on it and said it was delicious.  I had the bahn mi style flat bread and I loved it.

We were scheduled for 3 hours but ended up adding on another hour.  It was a nice August evening in Houston, therefore, I would describe the weather as 'soupy'.  They had massive fans blowing which made it tolerable.  Plus, after 2 rounds of shots and several buckets of beer a little heat didn't matter much.

We can't wait to go back... probably in October when it's a little cooler outside.

I remember fondly the days of running around the back nine with a couple of six packs. I don't get to do that much any more, but TopGolf brought back some of those shades of summers past.

This is a cool concept. Just like party bowling except golf. Its golf bowling...no wait, scratch that. Its party golf. We had a group of about 15 people with 3 teams going at the same time. Good service on food and drinks. Relax, hit some balls, get your auto score (sensors in the balls) and enjoy some friendly competition. I'm a fan.

This is a great place to hang out with friends on a Saturday morning since there is plenty of parking and you won't have to hang around waiting for a bay to open up.  The downside is the location, it's right off the Park 10 exit so you'll either have to cross  over the double white lines to be able to turn right into the road to Top Golf or do some crazy maneuvering/lane changes if you wait for the double white lines to end. Either way you risk getting a ticket by HPD who I think tends to sit around for Top Golfers planning to start their Saturday, but don't want to go all the way around. Maybe I'm a little bitter since that happened to me today :(.

Lesson to learn here: take the exit before Park 10, go all the way around, or prepare to be ticketed if you do what Houstonians do best - crazy lane changes.

The service in the bays is great, the waiters/waitresses are always attentive to what's going on with regards to food and beverages. Ours kindly replaced our drinks even though there was still stuff in them since she said "the ice melts so fast in this heat."  I really appreciated that!

The only thing preventing me from giving Top Golf 5 stars is the fact that they got rid of their brunch menu! I was planning on grabbing breakfast with a group of friends this Saturday, but to my dismay my choices for breakfast foods were chicken & waffles or a breakfast burrito. I remember when they did omelets, french toast, mimosas, etc!!

Final pro tip: be sure to come early, wait times can easily get into the 3+ hours on a Friday/Saturday night.  Good luck and happy golfing!

The place looks pretty cool however I was highly irritated by the staff. I called to make a reservation and they told me that none was needed. However, when we showed up there we were told that it was a 5 hour wait and that we should have made a reservation (WTH?!). Apparently you can make a reservation in person (basically show up early to write your name on the wait list). Well, the staff should have disclosed that information when I called and saved me the 40 minute drive! Terrible customer service!

1:45-2:00 wait at 730p on a Thursday!!! ridiculous
    Underwhelming at nearly all levels.
The golf concept is good. But, it is at best tedious. Ball delivery is slow. And a significant portion of your time is spent working the "system", slow screens, slow response times, just way too slow......especially when you are paying $40/hr.
Food wasn't very good. Service wasn't very good. Music wasn't very good.

Great place to eat, drink, and have fun. Been there about a dozen times. My 11 year old son LOVES the place as do my wife and friends. Good place to talk business.

Only downside is the service. Service is slow and typically inattentive. HOWEVER: Ask for Kelsey or Rassie as servers if you visit. They gave (separate visits) the most professional, prompt, and courteous service BY FAR of anyone else that ever waited our table. I tipped very well and they deserved it. The venue is great and every other waiter/waitress I've had should take lessons from Kelsey and Rassie. I would give 5 stars if everyone working there performed as well as those two!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and got in just under the wire to try the Blood Mary Bar. It was amazing. You probably could eat a full meal from this buffet of miscellaneous treats. There were cheese cubes, full strips of bacon, pathetic looking celery, giant olives, cucumbers, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. There were 4 or 5 different kinds of hot sauce and worcestershire sauce.

The blood mary mix before additions was spicy, savory, and tomato-y. The standard bloody mary includes a beef jerky straw, celery, and an olive. It's made with Kettle One and the bartenders are not stingy with the alcohol. I wouldn't recommend more than one of these if you're driving.

We were told that there was a 2.5 hour wait for a bay, but ended up being closer to 1.5 hours. The large bar and lobby area makes it easy to wait and hang around.

The bays are $20/hr from 9-12pm and $40 after 12 pm. You can skip the line if you grab a VIP pass for $50, which is probably why they don't do online reservations. The long waits encourage people to have brunch/lunch/dinner at the venue, so I don't think online reservations are in Top Golf's future.

This is the most fun I've ever had at a driving range. It helps you improve your accuracy while competing with your friends. My dad loves this place and even my mom (who had never picked up a golf club before) had a good time. She kicked my butt because she kept chipping the ball into the red flags. It's a great time to have with family or friends. It's similar to bowling, so you can chat with your friends.

There are a bunch of different games you can play with different levels of difficulty. It's like someone made a video game out of the driving range. I'm hoping this is what google glass does to running.

I only give this place 3 stars because although I love Top Golf and the concept, the three hour wait lists on the weekends give it bad rep.

I've been here more than a few times, but every time there is always a long wait.  Is there any way to reserve a bay for a specific time slot IN ADVANCE? And what about the people who are done playing and are just lounging around drinking at the bays? You should take some initiative, Top Golf, and try to push these people to the lounges, or even the bar area so that the 27 parties in front of mine can get on with their nights.

This place is bad for any parents who went out to get some alone time. Expect to call your babysitters and let them know you'll be out past 11. Or you can try to find a babysitter willing to do this in the first place. In my opinion a three hour wait of playing pool and motion sensor games is not what I came to Top Golf for.

Visited it for the first time the other day, and I absolutely loved it!  I had stopped by the one in Dallas a couple years ago, but I only used the batting cages.  It is a great way to change up the driving range and encourage you to work on your procession shooting skills.

Bar staff was courteous and quick, although they auto gratuity'd me(don't know if it was because I was there for an event) for my individual tab.  Jokes on them because I would have tipped a lot more than 18%.

This was an event for my alumni association so I did not have time to golf a full game, but I am looking forward to coming back and getting a couple rounds in.

The parking was terrible (unless you valet like I did).  I did think it was ridiculous a majority of the parking lot was valet and they charge you for valet. You are already paying a mint to play, eat, and drink here.  It was not even that crazy full and the parking lot was at capacity (except for valet) and people were parked all along the road before you enter as far as I could see.  As I drove out, all those people getting parking tickets from the policeman.

This place would get 5 stars if the parking situation was better.  A batting cage would also improve this place (like the Dallas location has).

My friends and I just went to Top Golf out in Katy for the first time on Saturday. The game itself is AWESOME. The service, I can say with certainty was the absolute worst I have ever had, anywhere.

To sum it up, it was a clusterf%#k

*Where to begin, they lost credit cards (not only that, they gave me another parties credit card, the guy saw them do this and he came up to me and asked me if that was his credit card and it was, they had told him that they lost his card).

*They never brought water until two hours after we were there and after we requested about a five times.

*They cleared our table when a full pitcher of sangria and beer was still on the table after only being there 25 minutes, as well as my coke that was full (by the way I wasn't drinking this night since I was one of the DD's).

*They lost food orders over, and over and over again.

*They brought pitchers of beer with no glasses.

*Oh you ask for sliders (four for $12), what they don't tell you is that they add $1 per slider for cheese and also $6 for bacon for all four. So sliders that were $12.00 are now $22.00, nowhere on the menu does it state any of this.

*They over charged us for another hour, even though we purchased 4 hours total, two hours on two different bays (we had ten people, you can only have 5 on each bay)

The thing that really irks me is that I never asked for any kind of discount or refund (other than the additional hours they charged us for) for such horrible service.

I will say that the staff was very nice and considerate the entire time though.

hooray for me! I conquered my first time EVER swinging a golf club, and wasn't half bad!  Yes, this review is for all of you who have friends/boyfriends/ girlfriends, whoever who want to drag you to this golf place and you've never picked up a golf club in your life.

TAKE MY ADVICE... this place is a blast!!! OK, so golf can be a bit frustrating and intimidating, but you can just pick up a club and swing away.   I can't aim for the targets, but it was awfully exciting when I made it in one.  And if you don't really want to play, you can always just sit aroung and eat and drink! prices are fairly reasonable.  My first time there I did about half and half.

Everyone says how expensive it can be and how long you have to wait... I didn't notice this at all.  We went on a saturday afternoon, and after my friends turned down the first bay that came available (something about not wanting to be on the bottom level), we maybe waited like 45 min?  And in the meantime we ate and drank and caught up.  We stayed a really long time, and renewing the bay wasn't expensive because we had so many people to split the cost between.  BTW the waitstaff are super helpful if you tend to be a little electronically challenged with their machines.

I hope to go back, its a great place to celebrate birthdays, or just to spend the day with some friends!

One of THE BEST places in houston to hang out with friends. Its just a like a bowling alley, but its golf and its outdoors!

    Whats cool:
    Good for groups
    Indoor bar area
    Outdoor golf range with sofas
LCD screens that keep track of your stats

Cost: $20/hr during the day..I can't remember how much it is at night..I wanna say its $40?

Food: I ordered a club sandwich with tater tots and I thought it tasted pretty good. I would get it again if I came back.

Service: Our waiter gave us tons of water and checked on us regularly without being annoying. He made sure we were comfortable in the hot sweaty weather. so A+ for service.

    would i go back? yep.

Finally was able to check out Top Golf this past Saturday for a friends birthday.. First impression as I was trying to find parking was that this place is HUGE!! Too bad the parking lot wasn't since we had to park on the street and walk until the shuttle guy saw us and picked us up to dropped us off in the front...

We had 3 bays reserved @ 9pm and when I arrived around 9:15-9:20 my party was already playing, drinking and eating so I'm assuming they didn't have to wait for they bays they reserved...

I thought this place was awesome, the food was great, the drinks were cold and atmosphere was lively!! I did find that the customer service was a bit slow but since we had a party of almost 25 w/ three bays and only one server helping us I didn't mind it so much... Maybe they should've had another person helping him but who cares.. I was buzz and having a great time!!

Just went here yesterday and had a good time with coworkers. We reserved a deal for a couple booths with food and soft drinks. We had a few golfers, but mostly non-golfers, and there is a game for everyone. For newbies, they have the clubs arranged by suggested size for the distance you want to hit. It's all very convenient - just pick your game (or practice), swipe your club over the light, a ball is delivered, you swing, and then it computes your points! For the beginners, a simple game that gives you points based on which goal you hit was pretty good. And the goals are big enough, you won't get completely discouraged if you had no idea what your doing, haha, but more points for getting right on target, so good for the experienced ones. Our more advanced players tried out a game for hitting the farthest targets.

We had the chicken quesadillas, wings, veggies and hummus, and mini corndogs. It was plenty of food for us - I wish they had given us to go containers, because we had quite a bit leftover. It was all tasty. Drink service was pretty good; efficient and friendly. Three warnings - reserving ahead of time is good, as it can get quite busy if you just show up (heard about 3 hours waits). Make sure most of your group can come if you do a group deal - we ended up a few people short, so our 3-hour outing was ~$75/person. I haven't done any driving ranges before though, so can't say if that's truly a bad price, but we were originally shooting for $50/person with our group. Parking can be tight during busy times, but they do have $5 valet, which is pretty cheap and makes it easy.

At 3 PM during the week this place is one gigantic mess! Not enough parking, bad location, and too many kids. I believe that people (including my buddies and I) think that is a place for avid golfers who want to hit some balls in comfort and in a bar setting. Do Not Be Fooled! This is a Dave & Buster's type of experience, minus the abundance of games and rewards. In fact, the range experience is one big game...no, for real! Most of the folks tend to come here to drink, eat, drink, socialize, drink and hit some balls. Not a place to go if you're serious about getting some practice in, in my opinion.

I've been to one similar, so it isn't a particularly new concept to me. The distances do not seem accurate, not to say they aren't. They just don't look accurate.

My pals and I have coolectively decided that going to an outdoor range to hit some balls and then grabbing some brew seems much better...not nessesarily in that order. Wink!

This is a great place to take non-golfers to hit some golf balls.  The price per 'bay' varies from 20 to 40 an hour, so splitting that with a max of 6 players, isn't bad at all.  They provide clubs in each bay for those who don't have their own.  You do have to buy a 'membership' card but they credited me back that price to apply to the bay time.

The closest thing I can compare this to is Dave and Busters for golf.  It is a good place for corporate outings and have a few drinks.

It can get really crowded, so be aware.

Cool place to hang out at whether you're into golf or not.  Long waits of an hour or more is typical any day of the week I feel.   However grab a drink at the bar and relax.  What is cool is that they text you when they have a bay ready for you.

    Food is good.

No smoking in the establishment- not even in the bays.   You have to walk all the way outside to the front down the steps to smoke.

Would have given 4 stars if the service was better.

My only experience with golf is putt-putt (which I'm pretty good at) and shooting a bucket of balls (which I'm very bad at, which made me hate golf).

On my last trip to Houston, two of my girlfriends INSISTED that I go to TopGolf to have a very enjoyable golf experience. Despite my hesitation, I finally caved, and we headed over there Good Friday in the morning.

Since it was GF, schools were out and there were a lot of kids around. The wait was an hour, but we chilled and grabbed a couple of beers at the bar (where the bar tender was from Walnut Creek! Small world). After about an hour, we were able to go to our... station? I was very impressed. We were on the third level (the highest they offer), and everything was so clean, organized and electronic. Each golf ball that you hit has a microchip in it, so wherever it lands on the green or in a pod, the screen will show you were it landed and how many points you get. Servers come by and take your drink/food order, and you can take turns whacking balls (or missing, like I did many times). In the end, my friends and I had a blast, and we didn't care how good our form looked or how many times we missed the ball.

If you're a newbie (like me), no worries. They label each club with a color (they even have separate men's and women's). Then each pod on the green is coordinated with that color so you know which club to shoot for which distance. They also label the pods and colors on the platform where you retrieve your golf ball, and tell you how many points you get for each one.

As we were leaving, I noticed a lot of other game rooms, including Foosball and even an X-Box Kinnect with virtual bowling. For free! No wonder why there were so many kids who looked like they were having a blast! If I were in Houston, I would come back for sure :)

My girlfriend and I went to TopGolf Houston around 830pm on April 2 with high expectations, based purely on the look of the facility. It's clean and modern-looking and its location right next to I-10 is great.

When we arrived, we were excited to play and I'm sure this was apparent to the young lady behind the counter who was polite, but not at all enthusiastic. She and the other workers had been sort of huddled off in a corner behind the counter talking and laughing, so I felt a little like arriving there as customers interrupted their socializing. This also explains why I had to call 7 times before someone picked up the phone, which led me to believe the place was extremely busy before I came. I saw that this was not the case when I arrived. We shrugged that off because we couldn't wait to get playing.

The dinner was excellent. High-quality food, far from healthy! But that part wasn't their fault, nobody forced me to order chicken and waffles... The wait-staff wasn't slow with our visit, but when we walked into the restaurant, nobody greeted us and we had to find someone to ask if we seat ourselves. They, like the young lady at the front desk, were highly engaged in socializing with their co-workers and looked at me as though I'd rudely interrupted them. We seated ourselves and our server walked up and asked what we would like to drink (never did catch that name). Our server again was polite, but completely unenthusiastic again which didn't stop us from having fun. We were going to have fun whether these employees wanted us to or not!

The concierge desk was exactly the same. They were socializing amongst each other and tolerated us when it came time to ask for a place to play. I think we really inconvenienced her when we smiled and told her our preference would be to play on the 3rd floor as opposed to the 2nd!

Once we got to our place to play, 315, your server Alek saved the day. Neither of us had ever met Alek before but as soon as we walked up and were trying to figure things out, he appeared out of nowhere, was smiling and enthusiastic and appeared eager to help! I was surprised by the contrast between him and his co-workers already. Throughout the course of my girlfriend and I playing (and having a great time), he noticed that we were terrible at golf. We, of course, were fully aware of this fact and were laughing while we tried to work on our technique. Alek continually checked in with us, offering his assistance by giving us tips on our swings and he even joked around with us. He was the first employee we had encountered that evening who made us feel welcome and made us feel like he appreciated our business. Alek made us feel like we were friends.

I don't know anything about Alek's background or level of education, but I do believe that Alek should be running that place. Management can be learned, and it's easy to learn. Leadership, however, takes a great attitude and a genuine concern for others, and leadership is what TopGolf appeared to be lacking when we visited. As a manager in a customer-facing setting myself, I wish I had 20 employees with Alek's competence and attitude.

If you're running TopGolf Houston or you own the place: promote Alek, give him a raise or make him a manager. Sure, you'll sustain a level of success purely based on the quality of fun your game provides, but your location could be ENORMOUSLY more successful if you worked to provide an extraordinary experience for your customers. It won't happen on its own, leadership in that location needs to create accountability around their customer experience. Mine is not the first review to have had the experience my girlfriend and I had--imagine how many more customers you'd have walking in your doors if we were coming away talking about how fun it was AND how great the people were!

Those are my two cents. I would recommend TopGolf because the game was a lot of fun. Make sure you ask for Alek, but hopefully he'll be a manager there by the time you do.

I really am in love with this place. For the record I don't golf. I probably hit the tee with my club more than I hit the golf ball, which rolls to the nearest hole if I am lucky. That being said I just love to golf here with the combination of drinks, food, and golf.

    Note:
    - Monday- Thursday before 6 it is less packed and $20 per hour per station (not per person). After 6 its $40 per hour per station.
    - Friday - Sunday before noon it is $20, and after it is $40.
    - Happy Hour 3-7 M-F

    What I like:
    - Full bar with plenty of options including pitchers.
    - Games while you wait (this is very important since the wait is usually long). This includes Jenga, a pool table, bucket pong, among other things. This really makes waiting seem less like a wait and more entertaining.
    - Food is what you expect. I'm not expecting gourmet food but something to keep me filled if I am hungry and not taste horrible. Mission accomplished.
    - 3rd Level golf - I can't put my finger on it but its just a blast being on the top level

    What I don't like:
    - Parking - For a place as big and popular as this there are always instances where I have to find parking on the street.
    - Service - Every single time I go, there always comes a point where I just give up on my server and head straight to the bar to order my drinks and food. That pretty much should explain my frustrations.

Overall, I still practically live there because it's so much fun. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Let me preface this review by saying I have only been to TopGolf for after work libations, never to golf!

I think it's a pretty good atmosphere to indulge in HH. I'd suggest getting there before 6 if you want to find a parking spot and a seat.  I believe we got there around 5ish and the parking lot was already pretty full but the bar wasn't nearly as full as when we left around 8ish.

The service was iffy.  We had someone working our table that clearly knew nothing about alcohol or their happy hour specials.  He went back and forth about 4 times before another guy accompanied him and we got answers to basic questions.  Their drinks were decent, the street tacos were delish as were the flatbreads!  The breeze from the open windows, the lights...everything about this place screams great hh atmosphere.

Security on a golf cart was super friendly and gave us a ride to our cars...

With it being so close to my job, definitely coming back. Probably not to golf though, 3 hour wait times??? *cue Sweet Brown* ain't nobody got time fa dat!!!!!
