We took a risk by dining at a hotel restaurant, but we were tired, hungry, and looking for a waterfront view. There were no available tables outside, but we were able to sit at the outdoor bar, Freddie's Friki Tiki, which had a different menu from the main restaurant.

The drinks were awesome, and I highly recommend trying them out. The bartenders were friendly, but the service was incredibly slow. It was definitely not the fault of our servers. The two bartenders were doubling as bartenders and waitresses not only for the bar, but the entire outdoor patio; roughly 50-75 people. The poor girls were working really hard, and did their best. Clearly the outdoor space was understaffed.

I ordered chicken tenders, which I expected to be deep fried, but actually came out grilled and topped with a mango salsa. They were delicious, but I'm ashamed to say that I was disappointed that I wasn't served the fried chicken fingers I expected.

We enjoyed our food and drinks, and had a nice time watching boats go in and out of the harbor.

Came here for dinner with my family, had the chicken strips. Nice dining experience! Food was good, the service was good. No complaints, would come back to this location!

The Chancery Pub and Restaurant is "attached" to the Radisson hotel on the harbor in Racine. They have the infamous "Freddie's Friki Tiki" bar. The Tiki bar is out along the harbor walk, with great views.
We arrived Friday, Labor Day weekend, late in the evening, close to 11pm. The weather was perfect, the drinks were tasty; the bar tender had a heavy hand when she poured....... did I say the drinks were tasty and inexpensive. Mass quantities were consumed.
I did say the drinks were tasty, didn't I. What more could one ask?

If I could give it zero stars I would. Terrible. Awful food, not great service. Started with a dirty table, then terrible tang/concentrate OJ. Bad pancakes, old fruit. Burnt bagel... The only plus was the boats outside kept my kids occupied for 5 min. Don't go.

The location of this restaurant right on Lake Michigan is the only draw. I have been to all locations and this one is just disgusting. It is not clean. Certain cooks are sloppy pigs. On my last and final visit ever, my friend went to the mens room. While he was in there, a cook came in, took a crap and walked right back out into the kitchen without washing his hands. GROSS! Luckily, we sat at the bar and drank cocktails. I will never go back, ever.

Stopped in at The Chancery on the Lake in Racine. Hav'nt been here for a few months. Ordered the "Hey Curly Where's Moe" like I usually do. They have obviously changed the sauce that they used to put on it. It wasn't good at all! I was told that it was the same. But it tasted terrible! Don't order this if you go there. They then came out and told me it depends on how much sugar they put in the "same" sauce, but if there is no consistency why pay for it?

Is this place a little cheesy? Sure...but that's Wisconsin. I have eaten here many times with family. I'm not a fan of bloody marys but my family loves chancery's version.
Personally I love the freddie's fried chicken sandwich (you can get it blackened or grilled too), the waffle fries, and the onion strings. Boyfriend loves the cheesehead? burger.
Service ranges from very good to decent, but you can't beat the view of lake michigan.

Average food, great location. Floor, tables and chairs were filthy. Looked like the place had a huge party and forgot to clean up. If you go, just stay in the bar...cleaner and much friendlier. Attached to the Radison, so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving while staying there.

It's the Chancery. Racinites love it....

Passable to salty food. I hear the Beer n Cheese soup is good, but I've never tried it. I'm told that you need to order a second pretzel or a side of fries to go with it. So, that's gonna bump up the bill.

The Bloody Marys here..... Where do I start??? People love them or hate them. I hate them. It's a B+ Bloody, you just need to remove about 45 lbs of vegis, beef sticks, pickles, flora, alien space craft, mini trees, swizzle sticks, and anything else they feel like sticking in the drink that day.... Just obnoxious.

Then there's the menu.... It's "cute" and by cute, I mean, they think they're being slick and witty in writing it. It comes of as classless and tacky.

Never had better than C- service. Maybe I should give it one star?!?! If not for my g/f and her love of the cheese soup and my love for her, I'd never come here again. A blight on Racine's lakefront. In fact, the 2-star review just became a 1-Star. I haven't been here in 3 years and hopefully I can multiply that 25.

I especially love their chicken and they have waffle fries. There is also a walkway around Pugh, Reef Point and Gaslight Pointe Marinas that passes by the Chancery which has outdoor seating overlooking them.

I stay at the radisson right next door all the time. I love that this restaurant is connected so in the winter time I don't have to go out to get food.

Convenience: A+

There is a pretty wide variety of selection too from burgers, wraps, salads, fish, etc.
I'm a rather boring person though and keep on getting small items that I know I can finish that night and not have to worry about fridges. The french onion is delicious, fried are good, and the side salad is okay.

Wisconsin concentrate. Try the cheese, bratwurst, and beer! Stay for the deer antler chandelier and the strange dialect, dontchaknow!

Four stars for being open late and being cheap. This was my constant hangout when I lived downtown. Despite that, I still have my suburban Chicago accent, and plan to keep it.

Interesting twists on classic foods.

The soups are decent

The location is great and there is a screened in porch to eat when the weather is nice right on the water.

About 3.5 stars. A local chain that started in Racine some 35 or so years ago. Certainly not a place to go if you are interested in "fine dining." Think of it as more of a burger and chicken place and you'll be fine. Sort of a local version of Applebees, TGI Friday, etc.

The menu is pretty standard--american fare, and not too expensive. Nice view of the harbor.

We came here because it was very close to where we were staying, and because the yelp reviews were generally positive. I usually avoid hotel restaurants but this one seemed like it would exceed those low expectations. It didn't. Just little piddly things that should have been easier for them to get right: indifferent service, stale bread, overcharges on the bill, etc.. I hope it was just an off night.

We love coming up to the Chancery from North Point Marina, we always take the boat up here for a nice cruise for either dinner or lunch. Zacks mac and cheese is one of my favorite dishes on the planet. Our group ordered the chicken bucket which was excellent, and the fried onion strings, and mozz sticks, which was superb. We had Sam as a waitress and she was the best, and on top of everything. GO SAM!!!!

A hotel restaurant with a nice view. The quantity of food and price are reasonable and not out of line with other area restaurants on/near the lakefront. This restaurant is very family friendly and on the night we were there, it was quite busy. Many locals and families. That is always a good sign of a decent eatery. The wait staff was friendly, plentiful, and efficient.

The food was good, but not exceptional. Both my wife and I had the steak and shrimp. The fried shrimp was a bit overcooked, but still tasty. The steaks we ordered were to be medium well and well done. Both came out well done. That was good for me and acceptable for my wife (who ordered the medium well). The salad could have been a bit colder.

Breakfast the next morning was ... breakfast. We were part of a group of 9 people. Other than the breakfast area being very, very warm, the food order was taken and served quickly. Of the 9 people in our group, only one had a complaint about an overcooked egg. Breakfast was good. The restaurant did cool off by mid-meal. The only issue was that the wait staff could not adjust the AC: Manager's job. Only the manager has a key. Of course, the manager was not present.

It had been a while since I had last eaten at the Chancery, and I was pleasantly surprised to find their menu has been updated - and expanded. I was torn between about 4 different dishes.

They have a screened-in porch with seating during the summer, which gives a nice breeze. Unfortunately, the porch also gives you access to the raucous guests at Friki Tiki's (?), a bar that shares space with the Chancery but apparently is completely separate.

Plenty of seating at the Chancery, though, and some give you a nice view of the harbor.

Here is why the Chancery is great:
1. Twelve hungry and thirsty Chicagoans out to dinner with drinks and the bill was only $168.00!
2. Restaurant is open until midnight on weekends.
3. Portions are big.
4. Food is good.
5. View is great!!! Right in the harbour.
6. Atmosphere is laid back, casual, but not sloppy.
We were all pretty impressed with the Chancery, hope to try it again next time I'm in the area.

I've been to this Chancery twice now. The first was a mediocre relatively unremarkable visit during which I enjoyed a decent bloody mary, this being the only reason this place warrants any stars at all. The second visit was so abysmal, however, I will never return. Upon first venturing into the bar for lunch I was greeted by and affront of music so loud that it left my ears ringing. Loud music has it's time and place to be enjoyed but it's not during early lunch in a "seaside" themed restaurant/bar on a weekday and after being ignored by the overly gregarious bartender for about 5 minutes I removed myself to their "Freaky Tiki" outdoor bar. In passing I mentioned to the hostess that the bar was bordering on painfully loud who responded with a shrug. The staff in the outdoor bar was just as inept and oblivious to their customers so after facing another few minutes of being ignored I simply left to the Chartroom down the road where I had a lovely lunch...

I came to the Chancery on my anniversary while enjoying the few things Racine has to offer. They have a good choice of American food that calls out WISCONSIN such as Cheesehead Mozzarella Fingers, Wisconsin Cheesecurds, and Kielbasa Beef & Stomp. I mean, after all, the Chancery began here in Racine. The location could not be more perfect being right on the Racine harbor with beautiful views from practically every table. The decor is swamped with boats and wood, but sort of reminds me of a Red Lobster.

I recommend the first three seafood meals listed on the menu: Hand breaded Shrimp Dinner, Campfire Fish and Tilapia Fry. All are tasty. Otherwise, the food is not that spectacular--I come for the cheap alcoholic drinks like their Deviled Egg & Bacon Bloody Mary or a Pina Colada. For dessert, you can even try a tiny cut of Racine's famous Kringle (see my O&H Bakery review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/…).

Also, don't miss their outdoor patio bar called "Friki Tiki."

Note: On their website, this location is listed as "Harbour" not Racine, so don't be confused as I was.
