The Cherry was one of the few places still open when I rolled into town around 8:30 PM. Located across the street from the hotel I stayed at, it was pretty much my only option for food at that time. Short of a few travelers from the hotel the Cherry is definitely a town bar. The crowd was generally younger and a lot of the people seemed to know each other and the bartenders. The bartenders were inattentive when I sat down even though it wasn't crowded, it took ten minutes to get a menu and a beer and then another fifteen minutes to order food - maybe because I was an out-of-towner. They did get better the longer I stayed. The food was average, typical bar food. A Coors Light is a reasonable $2.50, but the beer selection wasn't anything to get excited about. The bartender redeemed himself somewhat at the end of the night only charging me for 2 of the 4 drinks I had, but I have a suspicious feeling that this was more him not keeping track than giving me a discount.
