I don't remember when they changed the menu, but I was very disappointed in the drink selection on my most recent visit. Â They used to have quite a selection of hot chocolate and coffee based cocktails- the best thing after a long cold day of skiing! It is no more; just a long list of cold martinis. Â Also, the server seemed high, Â and was incredibly slow considering the place was not busy at all.
We did manage for the bartender to make a "special off the menu hot drink" that consisted of hot chocolate and raspberry vodka. Â It was OK, but not nearly up to par of what they had on the old menu.
This used to be my favorite apres ski place at Northstar just because of the drinks. Â I will not be returning and will instead head up to the Ritz, where they have an excellent selection of warm cocktails.
Terrible service. This restaurant needs better management! So many things seemed to have fallen through the cracks yet not noticed by any one who worked there.
-Took the hostess a long time to notice and greet us. We stared at empty stand for too long.
-Waitress  forgot two items (that showed up on the bill nonetheless) and waitress was not  the least bit apologetic.
-Several entrees took about 10 minutes longer than others to come out so several of us didn't have our meals at same time
-They had no busboy on a Saturday night, which they badly needed. Our appetizer plates sat piled at the end of our table the entire night.
-Took a long time for them to process our bill.
-Place was messy.
They need Restaurant Stakeout to come fix all the problems.
Good menu with a variety of choices. We had the chicken sate and pear with blue cheese salad and both were good. I had a mango infused martini which was very good... Not too sweet. Â Desert was a Carmel stuffed brownie which was more a chocolate decadent cake but oh so good! We have dined here before and can see it being more of a challenge service wise when busy both times had good service!
Review Source:Worst experience at a restaurant in a very long time. They were out of everything, which is SOMEwhat understadable on New Years Eve, but that didn't excuse the service. Apparently the must have also been out of water as the glasses we asked for never came. Our whole order consisted of drinks, soup, and fries. After 30 minutes half our drinks finally arrived along with french fries. The waiter couldn't remember which drink was which, and told us he already delivered 2 of our drinks (or not...). He came back with the "already delivered" drinks and told us that they were out of vodka. I'm not sure what that meant.
During the course of the hour we were there, we were asked 3 times what we had ordered in the first place, by two different servers. One soup came, and when we asked about the second, they just told us they were out. No apology, no offer to get something else.
The entire time our server kept telling us how busy they were, yet we saw him sitting behind the bar, and sometimes sitting down with guests at other tables. When we finally said we wanted to get up and pay at the bar so we could go catch the fireworks, the server made us stay at the table and told us he's going to watch us "just in case". Seriously the worst service. The drinks we got were ok, but pretty sweet for my tastes (and I ordered a jalapeño martini). No idea what the food was like as mine never came.
Drinks tasty and reasonably priced for a resort. Food was awful, cold and looked prepared prior to our arrival. Staff was very unprofessional. Discussed how previous customer left bad tip. Host was not infront of restaurant for about 15 minutes, talking with bar tenders instead of seating customers. Waiters argued argued amongst. Ranks as one of the worst restaurants I've been to.
Review Source:We only had drinks here. Â Nice bar in the Northstar village. Drinks were a little pricey, but that's par for the course in "the village". They have a nice selection of drinks, our bartender was fun... made us some custom drinks based and what we liked, did not like. We had a good time and next time we overnight at Northstar we'll definitely stop by here again!
Review Source:Although the atmosphere is marginal the food and the drinks are awful! I ordered the filet and my wife had the ahi. My Filet was undercooked and half of the broccoli was cold. The Ahi was small and average to the taste at best. My son had the broccoli and cheese soup which was okay to the taste of a 3 year old.
The drink issue was the fact that god forbid you order a regular drink, and not a chocolate special martini, which in my case was a crown and coke. When it arrived it was all coke and little to no crown. Being an avid drinker of these I am spot on with liquor content. When I asked my server to add a lil' more the bartender told him no. For what it is worth the server was great.
I.m not dinking at a club, where service and liquor can be suspect, Â I'm at a "higher" end restaurant and when a customer asks for a lil' more in their drink ya need to do it and not squabble. Let's be honest he could have added a spalsh which would have satisfied me and certainly gotten things off on the right foot. A suspect drink from the well selection can be shorted but a call liquor which one is paying a fair amount for should be poured accordingly. A nice drink at the outset of dinner sets the tone for the dinner and the tip. Had they met my simple request I'd probably have had two or three and certainly stayed longer and ordered dessert.
So ya saved .57 on 1/2 oz of crown and lost likely an additional $30-$50 in additional revenue. Way to hold your ground....likely not worth it in hindsight however huh?
There are farrrrr better options than this over priced gimmick. Grab a map and definitely speak to the locals as they will steer you far away from here.
My friend and I boarded right infront of the restaurant and decided to check out their menu and take advantage of the hot fire place they had out in front. Â It was my first time eating in the main area, rather than up on the mountain. Â
We waited for a waitress to come out, but no one did, so we had to walk inside and placed our order and told them we wanted to eat in front. Â
I had the kobe beef burger for $14 with garlic fries and fell into a food coma right after. Â It was hard to get back on the lift. I do suggest sharing the meal.
Free refills on soda!
What a great apres-ski bar. Â Located in the Northstar village right at the bottom of one of the runs, this bar could be located in any major city and draw a crowd.
The decor is so cool (check out the mirror mosaic behind the bar). Â If you can, grab a seat on one of the couches by the fireplace.
Our bartender was a flair bartender (he does tricks with the bottles and glasses as he makes your drinks) which also added to the cool factor. Â The specialty martinis are strictly of the sweet variety (thus the name "Chocolate Bar") and I managed to try 4 of them which were all amazing.
I even tried some of the food (the chicken wings) which were also very well done.
Next time I come to Northstar I will definitely return to the "Cbar" and have a full meal (the angus beef sliders looked amazing).
I don't know...I liked it! Â The place is located right next to where all the skiers/snowboarders end their slope so I think the location is perfect for grubbing. Â They have alcohol and hearty foods, such as chicken strips, fish sandwiches, chicken wings, etc.
Big Recommendation to anyone who spent their day on the slopes!
I love chocolate. Â I did my research before my trip to North Lake Tahoe and this was the one place I had to go before my birthday weekend was over. Â They had the COOLEST menu on the chocolate drinks.
The Cbar Cocktail was my choice of my first drink and then Pomegranate Mohito. Â Mmmmmmm delicious! Â The environment was classy and the drinks came with beautiful presentation.
I also loved just hanging out later outside at the fire pit with my friends.
You need to try it!
Oh man....
I honestly don't remember much about my chicken brie entree, or about the Kobe beef sliders (besides the fact that the rest of the table loved them).
What I do remember was the Turtle Martini with Frangelico. Gorgeous presentation, sweeter than an angel's kiss, and oh so decadent.
I will have dreams of sipping that delectable drinkable desert in the warm sun watching the gondola whisk people up the Northstar Hills.
Heaven!
A real place where you can get chocolate wasted? Â Count me and my giggly girlfriends in. We hung out at the bar and relaxed by the fire outside while sipping on yummy martini drinks like white chocolate mint, turtle, and chai. Â All were fantastic with a beautiful chocolate design on top.
Tip: we did want to get seated, but they really don't seat you unless you are going to order food. Â And, we just had dinner previously to stepping inside. Â Instead we just hung out at the bar and enjoyed the nice fire pit outside. Â
This is a posh place in the Northstar Village! Â It's small inside, but very modern! Â Stop by for a fun night in the Village!
It took me 3 years, but I FINALLY made it to the Chocolate Bar for the C Bar Cocktail. I don't know if this particular cocktail was worth a 3 year wait since it tasted pretty generic to me, but the fact that they have about 10 varieties of chocolate cocktails should be reason enough for you to visit!
Also, they serve huge huge huge plates full of fries. I resisted successfully, but they looked so good.
First off, this place needs to take pho off the menu. They do not know what it is or how to make it. They take pasta noodles, put it in broth, and call it pho. That is an insult to the Pho King! (Pho King Insult!)
Other than that this place is great! I ordered the flat bread with goat cheese and it was really good. Also ordered the raspberry wings. I had my doubts about it but the wings were great. They were spicy and you can notice the raspberry but it wasn't overpowering. Bravo! The cocktails were also really good. The chocolate themed drinks were delicious. The decor had a nice modern look to it.
The service was excellent. The bartender Morgan was really nice. Our guy waiter was great too. Gave us some advice around northstar and was very attentive.
This is a great upscale American restaurant. Delicious and unique foods, drinks, and great service. Just be aware the prices are high (theres a cocktail on the menu that costs $29.95), I ended up paying $60 for lunch and a drink for 2. AND DO NOT ORDER THE PHO!!
We had lunch here this past Sunday with some clients after a half day of skiing. Â I would have rated it higher because the food was pretty tasty but the service was not great. Â It took us a long time to get our food and when we did we didn't have any places settings so that took even more time. Â And after all the food was brought out I noticed that I didn't have my meal so they had to re-order mine. Â I know that stuff happens but the waitress was pretty nonchalant about it, didn't really apologize or even offer not to charge us for that meal.
Like I said, the food overall was good and I'd go back for that but not sure about the service.
Biggest cool point is that you can literally snowboard directly to this place. Â It's right off the slopes. Â Post your board outside and walk inside and order a drink.
We had the fondue for two. Â Pretty average fondue. Â The chocolate was bittersweet and they didn't have any heat on below the chocolate, so after a while it got hard. Â (Isn't that the opposite of what you want for fondue?) Â We also had the garlic fries which are thin cut. Â Pretty good to munch on and a huge serving. Â We ordered two drinks and they were way too strong with a horrible after taste, but they look fancy in the glass.
Overall, pretty nice because its the closest place to grab a drink and snacks at NorthStar. Â But if it was anywhere else, it would be 2 stars.
The waiter was really friendly. Â The food was fast. Â
The crab cake appetizer dish was DELICIOUS. Â The pulled pork sandwich there was REALLY GOOD. Â I didn't like the salmon sandwich there all that much though because it tasted really plain and a tad dry. Â My friend had to ask for a side of mayo to add more flavor and I asked for a side of bbq sauce to add flavor to mine.
The price for food isn't all that bad but I did see some pricey chocolate/alcohol mixed drinks on there that did not seem like it's worth $29.95.
This definitely is a good spot to hit up after a good long tiring day of snowboarding/skiing.
OVERALL:3.4 Â DRINKS:4 Â SERVICE:4 Â AMBIANCE:3.5 Â VALUE:2
Hot damn, this place makes a killing. Â At the base of the slopes in the Village, and with its toasty firepit, outdoor lounge + extensive hard hot cocoa offerings, it's no surprise that tired, chilly boarders/skiers swarm to the bar at the end of the day. Â
But for $18.95 - $29.95?!?!
I might be cold and a chocoholic, but I'm not stupid. Â I'll stick to the $10 Tiramisu martini, please. Â Nothing like a stiff milkshake in a fancy glass to kick you in the face at the end of the day. Â Delicious, and even more so if you can avoid the not-quite-chic interior by snagging a cushy seat in front of the fire outside.
My experience here was pretty whack. It was freezing outside, and I wanted some hot chocolate. So I walk in, wait at the bar to get a drink. I notice an espresso machine in the back and figure a mocha would be pretty good.
It takes a while to get the attention of the bartender, and when I do, not only do I find out the espresso machine is broken, I get my hot chocolate, and it's not even hot. And the powder mix--you'd figure at a place called chocolate bar, they'd use something a little fancier than cocoa powder--came up in clumps at the bottom.
Four-fifty for that? You gotta be kidding me. What's worse was I gave them a five, it took them so long to give back the change, I figured forget it, they can keep it as tip. Looking back, I might as well left the chocolate at the bar, too.
I'll definitely return to Northstar, but that's my last trip to Chocolate Bar.
So we came here for a little apres ski action. Â
We planned on getting some drinks, but as usual, I forgot my ID and the waitress didn't believe me that I was 21, so whatever. Â
I got the African Hot Chocolate, which was coffee and hot chocolate. Â It was bomb chocolate-y and coffee-y.
We also got the fondue which was good too. Â It came with strawberrys, bananas, pound cake and brownies. Â The brownies were a bit too much sweet but the pound cake was perfect! It was tasty but not too sweet with the chocolate. Â
If I would've stopped eating there, Chocolate Bar would've gotten another 2 or 3 stars, but I had to keep on eating.
I got the kid's mac and cheese and it was gross. Super gross. Yuck! I could only eat about 2 bites. It took forever to come out and it was cold. Ew.
I'll go back, but not for real food.
We decided to grab lunch at the Chocolate Bar during one of our days on the slopes at Northstar. Â I knew that with a name like Chocolate Bar, I had to have lunch here. Â You are also easily drawn to this place since it's right at the bottom of one of the slopes and there's a nice, warm cozy fire pit right out front. Â Unfortunately, the chocolate options are limited. Â Yes, they have several hot chocolate drinks and chocolate martini drinks but I was expecting other chocolate goodies like desserts. Â I was going to order the hot chocolate but was told that they were made with cow's milk only. Â Tempting but I skipped the hot chocolate and went for tea instead since the hot chocolate would just be an accident waiting to happen. Â I hate when establishments are inconsiderate of those of us with lactose intolerance.
I ordered the seared ahi salad which was fresh, nicely seasoned, and seared perfectly. Â The salad consisted of slices of tomato, ahi, cucumber on top of mixed greens. Â It was simple but good. Â The BF ordered the salmon sandwich. Â The salmon would've done well on it's own. Â It was citrusy and cooked well. Â The side order of fries were just okay. Â
Service was a really good at first but slowed down quite a bit although they weren't busy. Â We had to flag down our waiter to pick up the check. Â They also need more than one restroom each for females and males since people come in from outside to use the restroom here also since it's next to the entrance. Â Â Â
Overall, it was an okay place to sit down for a bit and grab a bite to eat after a morning on the slopes.
This place is trying to be something that it is not.
-It is not located in LA or Aspen, so give your local customer what it wants.
-It is not hip, just because you have chill music playing
-It is not good, high quality food just because you make it expensive
This place should really be setup for large groups/families and serve that type of menu for them....OR close during the day and just be a night club/bar in the evening. I can't tell you how many families looked very uncomfortable just trying to get a bite there. KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER!
Really got put-off by listening to 3 employees there complaining to each other how much they hate their jobs there. Just leave already!
Would skip it and try some of the other places in the area.
Gave it a shot and was disappointed. This was during lunch on New Year's Day.
Food was average at best. Had the salmon sandwich while friends had the burgers. They liked their food but I didn't find mine particularly exciting.
The hospital cafeteria style brownie dessert drenched in caramel was a joke for $7. Service was adequate given it was New Year's Day. This place really needed a manager to shape it up in many aspects on my visit.
Maybe the evening and night scene is more their specialty. Don't know, don't care - not impressed.
This review is strictly for their hot chocolate. Â I did not have a chance to sit down and eat at this restaurant. Â I just figured since they are a chocolate place, they must have better hot chocolate than the watery stuff at Starbucks, and I was not mistaken one bit!
I ordered a hot chocolate to-go at the bar. Â The cup is smaller than the tall size at Starbucks, but after drinking it, I understood why they give a smaller cup. Â The hot chocolate was extremely rich and thick. Â It was also really smooth. Â Someone described it as drinking a chocolate candy bar that's melted. Â This must be one of the best cups of hot chocolate I have tasted. Â Because it is so rich, the amount they gave was perfect. Â Any more and I wouldn't have been able to finish it. Â A small cup of this amazing hot chocolate will cost you a little under $5.
I will always come back here for hot chocolate after a long, cold day of snowboarding!
Maybe it's a mob front because there sure as hell wasn't a chef working there. Â Went there with a bachelorette party of 10. Â Usual mountain staff, nice enough but not attentive. Â The salads came before the appetizers. Â The salads were fine but overdressed. Â The waiter had recommended the coffee crusted steak as one of his favorites. Â When it came, those of us that had ordered it (maybe 5 women) were all trying to be polite and not spoil the party. Â When I finally looked around and saw everyone had only taken a few bites - I asked other folks if it was inedible. Â It was. Â I have honestly never seen a steak like that. Â Someone suggested that it seemed like it was cooked from frozen. Â The inside was the right color for medium rare but the texture looked like seared ahi tuna. Â It was seriously disgusting. Â
In their defense, the manager handled it well and offered us other food. Â But no one liked the other food enough to inspire us to order replacements. Â So we drank our replacements. Â Good in theory. Â Bad in the morning. Â
The drinks here were fine but the food was some of the worst I've ever had - especially for the price. Â Yuck!!!
I have yet to sit down and try this place again. When the lovely waitress handed the menus I was shocked at how small the list of desserts they had in comparison to when we were there last time. I remember the desserts I had last time when I was up here. A rich and decadent Mexican hot chocolate with chile spices as well as a mud pie to die far. What happened to those great list of desserts?
The place itself still has it's beautiful decor with a retro feel and a full bar. A nice place to try out if you want dessert. Hopefully in the future a big full list of desserts come out once again. My first impression of this place was great and I'm willing to give it another chance.
The German Chocolate martini drink is phenomenally good (See photo). Â It has Malibu rum, Dekuyper creme de cocoa, with frangelico and fresh cream. Â I've had it three times, and it's consistently fantastic. Â They sprinkle either chocolate shavings, or toasted coconut bits on top.
The chocolate bread pudding is very good. Â I've had it twice: it ranges from more bread-like to more pudding-like.
Also very good: the C bar cocktail, with van Gogh dutch chocolate vodka, Godiva milk chocolate liqueur and cocoa syrup.
The white chocolate raspberry martini is good, not great.
Skip the Tiramisu cocktail: It just didn't "wow" me.
The nice thing about this place is that most of the high-end cocktails are $10 each.
The Kobe sliders with garlic fries are skippable; the little burgers are really not anything special (but the grilled onions on top are a nice plus). Â Not nearly as good as the short rib sliders at Bit in Incline Village. Â The garlic fries are good as regular fries, but they are not garlicky enough.
The donut sampler comes with cinnamon and glazed small donut holes, and three dipping sauces: milk chocolate, white chocolate, and strawberry. Â But I don't recommend it: the donut texture is blah. They are not nearly as good as the donut dessert at Fredrick's Fusion bistro in Incline Village. Â I found out that the donuts are pre-made, frozen, and then fried at the time you order them.
Trendy looking, but the drinks were slightly over priced, and on new years it too FOREVER and a day to get a drink at the bar.
It was fun, but i don't think i'd loan another new years night to the chocolate bar unless i had to.
however, i would go back at some point to hang out....... if mikuni was full
For the years of going to Northstar for snowboarding, I never knew Chocolate Bar existed! Such a tragedy!
But after finding there was such a place at northstar, we scouted the place with another couple. We got the sofa seating near the "picture fireplace".
We ordered the chocolate fondue with cheese cake, pound cake, and strawberries. Anything extra cost more, ie. flavoring for chocolate, anything else but milk chocolate, more dippings.
The hot chocolate - mint white chocolate - was absolutely delicious and hit the spot from the cold! it was creamy and not too sweet.
i ordered the chocolate sundae too, and it was HUGE. 3 scoops of ice cream, chocolate syrup, bananas. It definitely made me happy, especially after a day of being defeated by the slopes.
Overall, the prices were fair, and the service was great.
If I could give it a negative rating for not just the total lack of service but the obnoxious lack of service I would.
The first time I came here - thankfully I had friends who waited out the line and the lousy service - all I had to do was show up and wait for the drinks to eventually arrive about 20 minutes after having been ordered. Â To be fair when we got them they were descent and the food was ok which is why I came back.
But the second time I came here, I waited in line for 30 minutes patiently I might add for a table - Â whilst lots of tables went empty for lack of bussing organization. Â When we were finally sat, we were put in a corner and promptly forgotten about for another 20 minutes. Â I don't actually mind the wait for a seat, it's the awful lack of service that comes afterwards - that really bothers me, the total cluelessness of who's on first that bugs me. Â I won't be back, I'll just stick to a beer on the hill.
This place is GREAT! Food is good and not too pricey for the location and the service is EXCELLENT!
If you are looking for a place to eat after a day of ski/boarding at Northstar, just glide straight to the front door at the base of the slopes. You would think that its a "sweets" place, but it offers a FULL menu.
GREAT:
- Filet Mignon - served with mashed potatoes and asparagus - soft, delicious and filling
- Caesar Salad - with Chicken - large serving can share it with someone else or have as a meal
- Mac and Cheese with Truffles - nice and rich, not your everyday mac
- Hot Chocolate - real milk and chocolate (not Swiss Miss)
GOOD:
- Lobster Risotto - large portion and rich flavor
- Chocolate Fondue - typical stuff - would have been better if you could get more selection and quantity
NOT:
- Cupcake Sample - the cupcakes were hard and dry, not fresh
Out of all the places at the Northstar Village, this is the most reasonably priced for a sit down meal. This is NOT a fast food joint.
Review solely for the hot chocolate at the bar.
We were told by a friend that this place had delicious hot chocolate, so as a mid-day break, we decided to come down here for some warmth and sugar to energize us for the remainder of the day.
I got the West African ($4.50) a dark chocolate drink with a shot of espresso and cream. Â I guess it was supposed to be like a mocha of sorts. Â Because I was so cold and hungry, I was fairly pleased with the drink. Â My friends, however, found theirs much too sweet and not tasteful. Â
I tried a sip of the regular hot chocolate, and to me it was very sweet and rich. Â The chocolate is quite powerful and I do not think one will feel too great after downing an entire cup. Â
Our service was good (we just stood at the bar in our snow gear and ordered), the idea is cool, and the prices are on the high side.
Chocolate Bar is an interesting alternative to Starbucks and the like, and super accessible as it is right near the gondola.
3.5 stars, but no stars north of that.
Hah! I made funny. Get it? "stars north", Northstar?
Sorry, I know, that was bad.
The regular hot chocolate was a bit watery, and the fondue was minimal. We had a list of choices and we went with the pound cake, cheesecake, and strawberry bits for dipping. Nothing special, yet, they all hit the spot perfectly. I walked out as happy as a sore and tired man can be in a weather cold enough to freeze his dingleberries off.
One thing they did get right, right off the bat, was their Ichigo cocktail. I ended up having two of them.
Oh, and the hostesses/waitresses were very warm. Warm in the sense of.. yeah, ok whatever. I'm done with bad puns.
Located immediately next to the main gondola, I could've boarded right into this place!
Service: Pretty good! Staff was very friendly and quick to greet.
Drinks: Like mentioned, drinks were in the resort prices $8-12 and they had a decent wine list.
Food: Simple, easy and hot! We had a cheese platter and the chocolate fondue w/ fruit and... dont remember. However, it was a nice break from the typical and overpriced burgers, hot dogs, pizza, ect.
Decor: very cute. modern decor - I wouldn't be surprised if they turned this to a mini-Northstar club at night.
I'll be back!
After living in Tahoe and being there almost as much as I'm at home, it's nice to finally find a spot that I want to consistently go back to.
Sitting out on the deck, Apres Ski, is a treat and you get to gather around the fire and watch people as the get off the mountain. Â It's a killer location and service is great.
They've got great cocktails that are well made. Â They've got some wonderful food served up as small plates. Â The sliders are super tasty, the cream of artichoke soup is one of the best soups I've ever had, and their chocolate fondue and chocolate milkshake will remind you of that feeling of your first kiss. Â Your REAL first kiss, not the one you had with your cousin. Â Wait. Â What?
The are a few issues though and I'm still trying to decide if they're show-stoppers. Â
Issue #1: Â Because of it's location right at the bottom of the last run of the day, groups tend to use it as a meeting place. Â These groups tend to be high school aged and they sit around and drink water waiting for everyone to get there. Â I have no problem with the kids being there but it makes the place look like it's packed and there were 2 times that I didn't go because it looked packed, even though they would have been glad for some paying business. Â They need to manage this somehow. Â
Issue #2: Â They have probably some of the best music playing at any bar/restaurant I've ever been to. Â However, they have a standing order to not share their playlist with anyone. Â This is just utterly ridiculous. Â They are playing other people's music, it's not theirs, it's not their brand. Â It's like a doctor giving you medicine that works great but not telling you what it is so that he can keep it to himself. Â It's weak sauce and I'm surprised they're not embarrassed by it. Â They're not helping anyone by not sharing the music, including the artists that they play and are using to make money off of. Â It's a bummer and what keeps me from rating them at 5 stars.
These are fairly minor though but Issue #2 definitely keeps me from raving about the place to everyone. Â That kind of attitude will come out in other areas and hurt them in the long run. Â
I've been there 3 times now and have enjoyed myself each time. Â If both of these issues keep up I'll be glad to go next door to Baxter's, but for now this is a great spot on the mountain that I look forward to going back to.
It's so nice to find a dining option at a ski resort that doesn't involve hot dogs, curly fries or burgers. Not that I dislike any those junky junk food options, but sometimes it's nice to have choices.
The staff is friendly, the prices are not out of control and the food is good. There are lots of options of savory dishes and keeping with the name; tons of dessert items.
The drink menu is where they charge resort prices. Most drinks hover in the $9-10 range, but let me tell you, after a day on the slopes, a Chai-tini is the way to go. House made chai coupled with Bailey's Irish Cream and Grand Mariner is a delectable treat and definitely helped take the edge off my aching legs.
