This place is sold. The old owner has sold the place. It now seems to go under the name "Dog House."

Upon first coming in it appears unchanged in any way. Menu appears the same including all decor.

As I sit here writing this, I listen to the girl I placed my order to speaking in Spanish to the cook in the back. The back kitchen area sound eerily quiet as if little to no activity is there.

I now an just pondering if the quality of food. I offer basic chili cheese dog. I like the option of types with shredded cheese or nacho. I get the shredded. The dogs were well typed with great proportions of chili and cheese. The chili is basic non-spicy Hormel's chili from the can. The cheddar shredded was pleasantly sharp all on top of your basic vienna beef dog.

I was impressed that when the dogs were ready, she brought them over to me where I was sitting rather than calling out. I expected a call out when I am the only one here!

Another thing I ordered was something that does set this place apart from just a dog house. The ability to order one of their subs. Under new ownership I'm very curious how it holds up.

I left before eating the sub to enjoy it at home. At home I took the sandwich out and presentation was awesome. I saw clearly the roast beef, Turkey, mozzarella and cheddar. Fresh looking shredded lettuce and fresh tomato.

I took a bit of the meat first hanging outside the bread. First thought? DRY! But the cheese was nice and sharp. Then a bite with the bread... DRY! I'm talking chockingly DRY. Like so DRY it soaked my saliva forcing a forever chew to make it able to swallow. It would be so much better with a better kind of bread. That ruined the sandwich as a whole. Very disappointing. The sub is what would set this place apart from all others and it has to be the super DRY bread that is going it back. For an idea how DRY? I'm talking like eating stale bread.
