Club Cabana

This is actually 3 clubs in 1. The Baskin Robbins of clubs if you will, lol. From the street it looks like 2 establishments side by side but they are interconnected once inside. You can enter through either the Club Cabana side or The Briza Azul side, they charge a cover  ($5- jeeze, I love college towns) you are stamped and then free to go about your business.

The 2 storefronts each have a live band with couches and table seating,good amount of dance floor area and  bars that are located on the back wall. As with all the BG bars I experienced - the drinks were STRONG and cheap. I had no problem getting the bartenders attention either (nothing brings a club down faster than bartenders with attitude). The Briza side has a laid back , chill feeling (a Janis Joplin song was being covered when we walked through) and the Cabana side had a more party vibe going (the cover band rocked and did the likes of 3 Doors Down and Lady Antebellum songs).

You cannot get from Briza to Cabana from the upstairs but have to travel through The Basement (club #3!!).  There are stairs leading down at the front of Briza & in the back of Cabana (hidden well past the bathrooms).  Going down it is narrow with concrete walls, gives off the vibe that you are going to a secret speak-easy of yesteryear. The downstairs is an actual basement with concrete floors and walls painted black. There are 4 areas down here with the 2 end areas housing the bars. One end has couches and conversation/making out/sleep it off areas with a bar, the next is a full-on dance club with poles, laser lights and a dj. The dj may have been new because he did not have a good feel for the crowd, the floor was either packed or empty - no inbetweens.  The next area had pool tables and tall tables along the walls, the next was a bar area with a bomb shelter feel- extremely close, this could be good or bad, you decide. I had a blast in The Basement and will definitely be back.
