Private fraternal club with cheap drinks and relaxed atmosphere, being private smoking is allowed. Club National does not have open enrollment and is perhaps the hardest club to try to join in the city as you will have to lobby an officer of the club to sponsor you and he only gets a couple spots a year. Your behavior is tied to his sponsorship and if say you act the fool one night while in your probationary year he risks losing his membership along with you.

I wouldn't really call this "night life", it's more a place to go if you can get in (requires some kind of membership, I dont remember how I got in) and it has the strongest drinks on the planet.  

It's like an Elks type place and its worth pre-gaming if you can get in.  MUCH older crowd though (50's on up).
