So our last night in OOB and we decided to see what was going on in town. Â A couple of the other bars we passed seemed dead even though they had live bands and the band playing on the Pier did not sound all that great. Â We were about to head next door when we saw girls dancing on the bar and at the end a pole. Â Had to inquire about who was able to use the pole and once we found out it was anyone we headed in. Â No cover which was good but drinks seemed a little high considering the glass was mostly ice. Â The DJ played decent music, I got to play on a pole and the people in the bar seemed pretty decent (there were a few creepy dudes hanging right by the bar where the women were dancing). Â Found out that 2 of the girls on the bar worked at the club, but hey, whatever it takes to get women to dance on the bar, right?
For any polers out there..... it was a painted galvanized pole that ran from bar top to ceiling...probably not more than 8.5' high. Â It was a little smaller than US standard. Â No steps to get on the bar and bare feet are the norm. Â Need to watch out for people placing their drinks in the zone and nasty guys sitting right in front of you. Â An accidental kick will get them out of the way. Â Not a lot of room to get into or out of moves. Â But hey, when you are pole-addicted and on vacation anything will do!!
Worst part was the smell of the old carpet, atleast I hope it was the carpet. Best parts were the dollar beers during the day and at nite they have some nice looking girls that end up there somehow. They have a small closed off area outside where you can bring your drink, so thats a deff. plus. Watch the cops roll by as you sip a beer. Check this place out atleast one nite if your staying close by.
