We had noticed this establishment for months and finally decided to try it. Â My 7 year old has been there several times with her mom and everybody swears that it's the greatest place. Â The decor is very nice, and it makes for a great place to watch a game with friends. Â Sadly, that's the best part. Â The food was absolutely disgusting and overpriced. Â My club sandwich was on bland white bread and the meat tasted like it came from a gas station deli. Â I'm a fat guy, so I know my food. Â My wife's nachos were so bad that she discarded 2/3 of the plate. Â My daughter's burger was, without any shadow of a doubt, a frozen JTM patty.
I honestly believe that this establishment is busy all the time simply because the population has never experienced good food. Â Please don't waste your time and money at Clubhouse grille.
I'd love to see this place prosper, but their kitchen has to make drastic changes in order to succeed.
Worst experience ever. Came here to visit my family and decided to come here before the Monroe football game tonight. It seemed like an average night for them. We had three adults and 4 children. Our orders included beer, chicken nuggets and a salad. After 45 minutes of waiting, our waitress told us it would be 5 more minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes (1 hour total), I had to ask again how long it would be. She said she would check but another 20 minutes passed by. At this point, my sister and I decided to walk out and leave. This is where it gets interesting. The owner followed outside and screamed across the parking lot that we needed to pay him for the soda the kids drank. This was the first time we met the guy. Not during the 1 hour and 20 minutes did he come around, apologize, or explain why it was taking so long. Needless to say, we just walked away but it would be great for a well run restaurant to open up right next to it and shut this place down.
Review Source:So glad I pointed this place out to my husband after taking the backroads home from The Cone one evening. True, the decor screams sports bar, but the food is definitely quite a bit above what most would think sports bar fare is. Made almost weekly trips since then (sometimes more), trying quite a bit of the menu and have pretty much liked everything. My faves are probably the pork tenderloin sandwich and the portobello sandwich (yes a vegetarian offering at a sports bar, and its good!). The hubby likes the wings and the sticky burger. The buffalo chicken and irish egg roll things are good app options. We were having such a tough time finding a good place to watch the game AND have good food (looking at you Frickers, blech). So glad we found this hidden gem. Can't wait until the tailgating starts!
