Cavanaugh's Irish Pub

Cavanaugh's is great for a neighborhood bar. They have drink specials every single day of the week, four pool tables, a dart board, mega touch, jukebox etc etc. It is a great spot during the summer when the tiki bar is open on their fairly large patio. They have some great bartenders who will take good care of you if you take care of them. They attract a mixed crowd. You're bound to find someone to chat and sip with.

As Mike Myers' character on Coffee Talk would say:

"Cavanaugh's Irish Pub is neither Irish, nor a pub.  Discuss."

You walk into this place and it reeks of sports bar (literally - it smelled).  I have no idea how they feel justified calling it an Irish pub.  They have a flag and Guinness, that's it.  Nothing else remotely Irish.

The clientele leaned towards white trash if that's your thing, or if you like sitting around and making fun of that thing.  Also, the bartender on multiple occasions turned off our jukebox selections.  On the bright side, it was the only place open late on Christmas night besides Waffle House.
