Went to Mason Pub last night......disappointed. Â The house band, Off the Hook, used to be good when they were at Jags. Â And they charged a $10 PER PERSON Â cover....NOT WORTH IT!!. Â Can't comment on the food..didn't eat. Â Drinks were ok....had to get our own first round before the wait staff found us. Â Might be a good place to drink a beer with the guys and watch the game. Â It's really a neighborhood, pool and darts place not a Saturday night out on the town dancing/listening to a good band place.
Probably won't go back.
Neat place to get your drink on. Â Was kind of dead on a Saturday night. Â Thought there would be a lot more people there. Â Music is not to loud so you can hold coversations with your friends and there is also a dance floor so you can get out and dance if you feel so inclined. Â Two pool tables near the front offer something else to do while you are out drinking with friends.
Review Source:I've only been to Mason Pub a few times, but I've never really had a bad time there. Â If you live close, it's worth stopping in for a drink every once in a while. I've never had their food, so I can't really comment on that. The interior is pretty standard if you've ever been to a decently nice suburban bar.
They have Karaoke on Wednesdays, though I've never seen it particularly crowded. That could be a good thing, because you don't really have to wait if you want to sing. They also serve giant mason jars full of beer on Wednesdays for $4.00, which is a good deal for the amount you get. They also have a different drink special for every night.
I usually come here the night before Thanksgiving. Brazenhead is always ridiculously packed to the point where you can't get to any of the bars. In addition to this, they charge a cover. Mason Pub is across the street, and is usually busy, but not uncomfortably so.
