To be fair, 3.5 stars, just not quite up to 4 as there are some detractors. First off, the place needs a good wash. The menus are grubby! No kidding! The ones at my seat had a patina of sweat and grease-finger covering them that reminded me of the way my grandkid's high-chair feels after he finishes a banana.
Okay, it's been around a long time, granted, but the whole place feels like it needs the carpet stripped out and everything hosed off with a pressure washer. Â Also, the prison dining table arrangement could use an update. Yeah, I know the leagues like to go there and the long tables work for that, but ordinary diners and drinkers dig separate tables so they can talk.
But other than that, the waitstaff was friendly, service quick, and the food was great. What did I have? Chicken wings. Yeah, I can't seem to get enough of them. But this summer heat just brings on a crazy craving for hot wings and cold beer. And these wings are great. Really good sauce (order just the regular hot wing sauce, it's maybe a tiny bit on the mild side for my tastes, but the flavor is just outstanding) And they will bring you a side of the hotter sauce if you want. I tried a little of the XX sauce and used it to amp up the heat just a tad, but really, for flavor, stick with the standard hot wing sauce. But now comes the GREAT part. Their blue cheese dressing that they serve with the wings and celery? It is fantastic. Just fantastic. No other way to say it. It is jam-packed with chunks of blue cheese and a dip of wing or celery into it makes for a stunningly good bite of bar food. These wings were better than the Yardhouse, Bex, much better than Buffalo Wild Wings, and actually have a better sauce than my go-to joint the Wingstop. A dozen wings and two bottles of Bud netted me a $20 tab before tip, so the place ain't the cheapest in town to be certain, but I do not mind paying a premium when I can get a knockout plate of wings with Blue Cheese dressing like that brought to me by a friendly and cheerful waitress. I will be back. But hose that place out, would ya?
One more thing. I read a review on here where somebody complained about the tv placement? There are only four walls in the joint. It is a big hall. The tvs are on the wall! Go find a seat in front of the game you want to watch and get a chair facing the tv. There must be 30 tvs scattered around the joint. If you want a closeup view, go sit at one of the tables by the wall.
My wife and I use to go at least once sometimes twice a week, but the prices have gone up so we don't go as often. The wings and fries are the best I've had. The beer is served perfectly cold and the specialty drinks are done nicely. Yes the place looks run down inside  but I don't usually choose a place to eat by how home and garden decorates the place. There are times when the place is really packed to the point there is no where to park or sit. When they have special events they do have security there checking ID just to get in. A couple of the waitresses know us by now where they know what we're drinking and what we order. However, they do have some girls that look under 21 ( I call them ride-along waitresses because they just follow the mature waitresses around and give refills of water and soda). A few of the ride-along waitresses are annoying and will keep coming by what seems like every 3 mins asking if we need anything, one time I got extremely annoyed and talked crap back to one of the ride-along waitresses asking if I could help them instead, they finally left my wife and I alone. Other then that friendly environment and good food.
