Coaches is one of my weekend spots. I only come here to play pool or Golden Tee and throw a few back. They have 4 Golden Tee machines and 6 pool tables....4 of which were re-felted this past week.
Saturday nights are Latin nights now. While there is a very diverse crowd of all ages and races, if you're here on Saturday you had best enjoy Latin music.
You can smoke here. Thank God, a bar right outside the city limits that isn't affected by a smoking ban. I always think I'll be getting out for $35 or so....but on beer alone with a tip I usually double that.
It's a bit pricey and the food isn't all that great...but it's a great place to catch a game. Management has always been attentive and friendly.
Well, pretty much what Farrah said..except I don't run into my high school friends here. Â
This place for a Saturday night go-out-and-get-blasted bar. Drink prices are moderate here. Â
For me, it had more of a meat-market feel to it. Â I sat with my wife the whole night and, twice, strangers asked my wife to dance (both times I was in the bathroom). Â Right there, that tells you what kind of people frequent Coaches. Â Idiots...
I would reccomend Coaches more for a good place to catch the Texans game, sipping on a beer.
I can't speak to the quality of the food here, never had it.
In line with what Farrah stated, they do have very good DJ music on Friday and Saturday nights.
