Decent service, good burger, good napa salad with salmon - except the salmon tasted like it was cooked in the burger grease.  Nice selection of beer and live entertainment is a plus.  Since we've been to the other Kilburn's and this one before it moved from Barker Cypress to this new bigger location (a definite plus because I am not a smoker and the old location was small and smokey) we will go again.

DELICIOUS,...with a smile to boot!! As a frequent business traveler, and one who must continually use their company credit card to "wine and dine" clients, I have to say, that Kilburn's, is just about as good as it gets for a well rounded menu, with great offerings for everyone at the table. On a recent business dinner, I had a group of clients all over the board; a gluten free mother to be, one hippie vegetarian, a full throttle, meat grubbing cowboy, and one who just preferred his dinner cold, fresh, and straight from the tap. Fortunately Kilburn's was able to handle all of these requirements. Beer selection is one of the best I've seen in Houston, you have to drive a long way in H-town to find a better selection than this. The burger was unbeatable! The hippie, and the mother to be, said the veggies and other sides were KILLER. Our server was attentive and friendly (but not up in my space) My only gripe is that they didn't seem to have a late night HH. The afternoon HH was great for the budget, but apparently we wore that one out and stayed way later than planned. Oh well, whatever it takes to close the deal. Would definitely recommend, and for sure be back soon.

Two stars break down like this:

    - One for Brandon: our waiter on my second visit who kept the frozen screwdrivers coming and had the courtesy of doing a "last call" for HH for us.
    - One star for David: the bartender on my first and second visit.
Much love for Brandon and David! *Insert heart symbol here.*

Helpful Tip: Service by the blonde-haired chic (couldn't get her name either time because she was always MIA) is not good. If you get seated in her section, ask to move out of it and stat. Why? When I asked for a water refill she pointed to a nearby table and told me that the water pitcher was "over there". Umm, okay. Then when half of our table didn't have silverware, she again pointed to a plastic crate under a nearby table and told us, "Oh they are over there." Well, shit. I might as well have put on my own kilt and started taking orders and care of other tables. We took her lack of service with humor - and apparently she had no idea that she sucked as she said all this with a half smile - and we took care of ourselves by walking up to the bar to ask for drink refills, etc. Problem solved.

I've had neighbors rave about the burgers and I personally wasn't all that impressed. They are good, but in the classic, there's a spice that struck me as unexpected. It was similar to cinnamon and cumin. Kinda strange. The HH food menu is relatively good. The beer battered shrimp and half order of nachos are good, anyway.

I do like the ambiance of Kilburn's. I just don't see myself making time to visit the place again unless it were on a whim. I feel that it has great potential, though. Maybe I was there on the wrong days and there was just too much going on for the staff to take care of the amount of customers. (Or maybe I am just making excuses because I don't like to give bad reviews to places that aren't big chains.) Either way, I don't hate or love you, Kilburn's. Over all, both visits there have been great because I was in good company, however you gotta work on some of the service provided. (Let me give it to you straight - some of the people in our group left for another local bar because they weren't getting service. Ouch!) I sincerely want you to make me love you so that I can rave about ya!
