Decided to take the wife and two kids out to lunch today, Coal Vines seemed like it would be a good experience. Â It was just that, good... Â not bad, not great... Â
The woman that greeted me was not extra friendly, just asked where we wanted to sit then off she went. Â Greeting someone is like the first impression, c'mon, get it right guys... Â Greeting - C+
We sat outside and waited until our male server finally came out and greeted us.. Â He was nice, nothing special... Â just nice... Â not extra nice, not friendly. Â Service B-
We waited a while for our server to come to our table, his visits were very cold and he seems to be ready to leave us and get someplace...
I don't know why, but from the time I walked in this place, I felt like I was getting on their nerves...
THE FOOD
The food was good, I ordered a pizza with Gorgonzola cheese and it was very yummy. Â My wife order a sandwich and really enjoyed her food as well. Â I would normally give a place with good food high markings, but the service was so sub par that I can't give anything here higher than B-
Typically shops at Legacy is above par, these guys have some growing to do and it's a shame since they have good food at decent prices.
Yawn, NEXT!!!
I ordered to-go for a work day meet up and was so pleased with how quickly my order was ready. I ordered a small pizza and spinach salad. The pizza was a mix of sausage, peppers, mushrooms and feta. I am a fan of Coal Vines in Uptown and this Legacy location is just as good.
Small restaurant front with generous patio seating. Great wine selection and mood lighting/music that would add fun to any date night or fun night out with friends.
Pizza tastes noticeably better than Fire side Pies (competitor around the corner). Service was fast and friendly. Prices are commensurate with with the size of pizza ( a large is really large) quality, service and ambiance. Noticed a good wine selection compared to competitors Mellow Mushroom and Fire side Pies.
More upscale than the others. Good place for a date and people watching.
