I must have hit it on an off day, it was VERY busy and cramped. Â I'm very picky about my latte, after being a certified barista for a couple years, at a small boutique coffee shop in VA. Â I had to take a week long course on how to prepare the perfect espresso and was fairly decent at it. Â To me, the espresso used in the latte, left to much of a bitter taste/film in my mouth. Â It was as if it was over roasted a tad bit, much like Starbucks. Â It did have the proper amount of foam to espresso ratio, so that was a definite positive. Â I also tried a homemade tart, which I think was made by someone outside of CCR, but it was a bit dry, not enough fruit for my liking. Â I let me wife try it, she didn't care for it much either. Â I liked the idea of the place, especially with a tiny, but decent craft beer selection. Â I'll give this place another shot later and rereview it then.
Review Source:The espresso that I tried was really good however outside they call themselves and espresso bar but last time I was there it took 30 min to get my drink and some beans there were only 2 customers in front of me. Â What I noticed was there espresso machine looked like a noncommercial one or on the lower end it only had one group head and they only had a double filter so they can only pour 2 shots at a time this was disappointing at an espresso bar.
