Waitress was super short and rude to me and my husband. She didn't say 'hello' or 'have a good evening'. It was pretty much 'what do you want' and 'k' and her snatching up the check. I was in the industry as a bartender and waitress for over ten years and it was Not busy. She definitely is the reason we will not come back.

They know how to do Football Sundays. They accommodate fans. They list the games under each of the numerous TVs, but they will edit those as the crowd dictates. We are die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans living in Roswell. Since we can't get NFL Sunday ticket at our house due to trees/line of sight issues, we have had to search to find a place. This is it. I like the food much better than Taco Mac. Granted, it's sports bar food. It's not going to set your world on fire, but I liked the wings a lot.

Service--ok, they are painfully slow. Your glass will sit empty from time to time. BUT--they are super nice and, as I said, they accommodate all football fans, from sound to images, so I am willing to overlook that.

We also did trivia one Thursday, and were surprised how busy it was! We had fun, even if we didn't win. Some of those teams are insanely good. Haven't tried Monday bingo yet.

We have seen kids come in on Sundays, and will likely bring my 10-year-old from time to time. The guests are nice. We're all wearing different team jerseys, but no one is making lewd comments to each other or starting fights. We may smack talk, but it's not inappropriate. Well, not the stuff we say out LOUD anyway. (Eagles suck!)

Service: Really nice staff, albeit on the slower side. 3.5 stars
Atmosphere: If you are into Football, it's a mecca on Sundays. 5 Stars.
Food: Bar food. It's basic bar food. It gets the job done. There's nothing I can't wait to eat, but I have liked everything I've ordered. The beers are cold! 3 stars
Overall: We will likely be here every Sunday when the Cowboys are playing and it isn't televised locally. We like the staff, regardless of tempo.

I know this place has gone through a few owner changes, and we were looking up trivia ( bored on a Thursday night) and came across this place. We left for our adventure!
arrived about 10 min before trivia started, got a table, it was actually crowded!!  We ordered some Big ole beers and some chicken skewers,  I think our server knew we were really just there for Beer and trivia, he was attentive but there were a few gaps with empty glasses.. no biggie..   the Lady that sat us was really nice, and even came to check on us .  Prices were surprisingly cheap for a sports bar type place. Had a very large selection of booze and wine and beer... also at pretty good prices.   we got the chicken skewers at half off ( THANK YOU YELP) :)   we will def be back.

staff is kinda slow. Oysters were good but very very expensive. I would rather spend my money at Hooters across the street for half the money!

Horrible. Bad staff.  Got challenged after asking about something they agreed to.  No good staff.

This establishment reneged on a verbal deal they cut with our MeetUp Group, 35 and over. As a result, I would be very careful in dealing with them on any level.

Great house salad and the steak and chicken kabob is really good. Wait staff is iffy at best. Is it a prerequisite for the waitresses to have a tat on their right shoulder or breast?? We noticed two and kept looking and every one had one or the other. Not really relevant but just saying...they do stand around and chat a lot as stated in other reviews. All said not a bad spot for a decent easy meal.

After staying away during the "bad years", I was urged to give Coldbrews another chance. They've revamped the menu, added an Oyster bar, and are pretty much back to the place I remember when it first opened.

Have to say, the place is very clean and spacious with tons of large flat screens hanging everywhere. Given your proximity to the tv's, very immersive and not a bad view in the place. It's also still smoke free (with smoking on the patio) and that's a definite plus.

As for the food, well it is definitely better than it used to be and the prices have inched up a tad, but are still very reasonable. The Oyster bar also adds quite a few fancier dishes like loster bisque, crab legs, raw oysters, etc. and it was all pretty good. They have really good burgers and sandwiches, the rest is more like casual dining than bar food. For that, I am happy and would return.

Tons of nightly food and drink specials, trivia, live music, sports whenever they are on.

The only gripe I continue to have about this place is the service. Young, inattentive, huddled by the bar or in the kitchen. Could be a lot better.

As a Sports Bar, it's returned to its original goodness. Though if you want a "Grill", look next door. It's still a Sports Bar.

My Philly sub was good and the beer prices are reasonable.  What more can you ask for in a sports bar?

Would have been a 3-star rating, but will get to that in a moment.

The change in management (as other reviewers have cited) is a huge plus.  I had actually quit going after a terrible experience in 2011 where all of the beer glasses had a nice soap coating on the inside.  It was obvious the dishwashing machine behind the bar was broken because it kept leaking out soap and water all over the floor, but they kept using it anyway - and kept serving soapy beers to everyone even after I drew their attention to it and asked for a bottle.  The service has improved as well as the food,  Last 2 trips have confirmed this.

They retained the Jerk wings and the rest of the options are pretty good also.  Keep in mind this is a sports bar, so don't expect anything amazing.  The prices have definitely gone up and are a little higher than your average sports bar.  However, I'll gladly pay 15%-20% more considering the quality has improved 30%-40% or more (in all fariness, it couldn't have gotten much worse).

The staff is hit or miss.  Some of the girls just stand around talking at the right end of the bar and seem more concerned with playing catch-up on their personal lives than doing their job.  The bartenders lack experience, but in general are nice folks and I highly recommend sitting at the bar vs. a table is you want prompt service (though you may have to shout them down once in a awhile).

    Now for the star deduction...

My biggest gripe is management as it relates to the sports bar aspect.  Most of the patrons are there to watch games, and they have done a good job adding more, bigger TVs.  However,  at least for college football, they really have no clue on how to manage the TV/schedule aspect.  For example, they'll show the same game on 3 TVs above the bar, but it will be a game no one is watching (think Akron and Miami OH), while there are several other major games going on.  Not only do they fail to make effective use of the TVs, but they obviously lack any basic fan knowledge that would help them determine what the major games of the day.

The only exceptions are Nebraska (it's a Nebraska bar) and UGA.  However, me and a handful of other folks were seated at the bar watching a game that had been on for ~1.5 hours.  First, they started to change that game to the UGA game.  Sorry, but if you have paying patrons that have been there for awhile, you should recognize that fact.  Second, they switched all the sound over to the UGA game vs. Florida Atlantic while the Tennessee vs. Florida game was on and clearly had more folks paying attention to it.  (This became even more obvious when 2 other tables asked what was going on.)

When I stated that I was leaving at halftime because of this, the manager on duty seemed very annoyed that anyone would do such a thing (vs. apologizing that we had to change locations mid-game).  While I understand the local team aspect, it was pretty disappointing that a number of fans/patrons who had shown up much earlier, probably spent $30-$40 each, were being tossed aside for 1-2 folks that wanted to watch a game that was not competitive.

All-in-all, don't expect too much and you'll probably be satisfied.  The service and food are better than the Tilted Kilt down the street that has since shutdown, but that's not saying much.  I hold the bartenders out of that statement as they are pretty decent.  Also, expect to do a lot of negotiating and work (even looking up the channels on a smart phone for them) to get the right games on the TVs.  And, be advised that you are not a valued customer, as management does not consider your efforts to show up ahead of time and get your programming set up to outweigh their own personal opinion on what games should be shown/highlighted.  They are oblivious to what people are/aren't watching in the dining room.

Sports bar comparable to a "Taco Mac" etc , but it wasn't as bright or airy.  I think they are going through a bit of remodeling so little dusty.  Plenty of TV's service at the bar was friendly but hard to come by....waited 20 minutes to pay tab and it wasn't crowded.  Decent beer selection didn't have any food.

I was surprised that the food here isn't bad at all. Normally sports bars offer cliche burgers and fries with beer, nothing more. However, I discovered great salad, baked potato soup, chicken panini, and ice cream cake make a fantastic meal for me to split with the boy. I especially love the avocado dressing for the salad and the chicken panini was way above my expectations. Cheese dip is so-so, but the guac is loaded with avocado and a much better choice if you want chips to munch on.

Service can be spotty, but when you're playing trivia, you tend to be caught up in the questions. If it was any other time, though, I'd get a little more testy.

Since I'm more focused on the food and the trivia, I'd say 4 stars (the trivia guy is great). If I counted the few bad servers, it'd be more like 3-3.5 depending on how bad they are.

I get that it's a Sports Bar and I need to grade on a curve. But average food and a good beer selection doesn't cut it anymore. The bar staff is friendly enough but somehow when my conversation starts to drift on how I could improve their business I know something is awry. The sports bar niche is a bit crowed in the Roswell/Alpharetta/Sandy Springs tri-city area - so there needs to be something that brings me in more then longer hours and ample parking.

We're new to the Roswell area, and have been here 3 times so far. Food has been very good with pretty good service, OK atmosphere. Better than average culinary experience in the sports bar category. Wings and burgers get 4 stars.

Coldbrews is within walking distance of my house so we've been here many times over the past few years.  When I first moved to Roswell Coldbrews was our sports bar of choice, great food, fantastic wait staff, overall good experience.

As some of the other reviewers have pointed out, they are under new management now and the changes made have been for the worse.  Some of our favorite menu items have been eliminated and the new waitstaff is extremely disappointing.  The food is still good but we don't go here anymore because the last few times we've gone the service has been terrible.

The new Coldbrews experience is to be seated by the host(ess) and see your waitress to place your order but good luck getting anyone's attention after that.  On multiple occasions we actually had to go to the bar to get refills on our drinks because our waitress was no where to be seen or busy socializing with her fellow waitstaff.  Mind you, we were going at around 5 pm on week nights, the place was far from busy.  To get our check we would have to flag down anyone we could see or try and wave down our waitress.

I don't know if the service is any better here on the weekends or on game nights, but we won't be finding out.

We don't go here anymore.  I miss the old Coldbrews.

If you're going to a sports bar, chances are you know what kind of atmosphere to expect, and if you know what to expect, you really can't go wrong here. It's a bar. There's drinks. And bar food. And a bar atmosphere. And trivia night. And people standing around. And okay service.

Although, to be fair, we've never sat inside. We really enjoy their outdoor patio, especially on these warmer evenings. They have decent drink specials, and I happen to like the wings. Big and juicy and oh-so-bad for you. I've tried the quesadilla and really enjoyed it, but then again, I wasn't expecting miracles.

I will say that the bar food here is better than most I've had, especially when compared to TJ's down the road. I've never been forgotten by a waitress, and they're always friendly.

It's a great place to go hang out with friends and gulp down some beers and have a good time.

So I'm flying into ATL from Los Angeles and the time change really throws me for a loop. I check into my hotel after 9 hours of travel and it's 10:30 pm (but 7:30 pm my time) and I'm STARVING. I NEED SUSTENANCE. But it's Sunday and the entirety of Georgia has probably gone to bed. The front desk lady tells me my options are Taco Bell, Coldbrews, or Tilted Kilt.

Well I'm traveling on business & I'm not going to explain on my expense report why I spent corporate money at Hooters for the Irish (titled kilt) and I'm not doing taco smell, so I tried Coldbrews (I felt that I could eat at a sports bar without garnering too many dirty looks).

Open late (til midnight on Sundays, thank goodness). Plenty of basic bar food (wings, onion rings) and southern standards (fried chicken, ribs). Food was a bit subpar (fried chicken that needs salt? really?!)but I was just happy it was open.

Plus they have a drink on their menu called "Sex with an Alligator." Okay, maybe my los angeleno is showing, but I lol'd pretty good.

Friendly and fast service (I would hope so at the hour I was there) and cheap for what I'm used to.

Okay if you're going there as a hot bar scene in Roswell then this is definitely like a 1-2 star place.  But honestly if you live close in the area and are looking for good bar food and a place to grab a beer with a friend this is has been my go-to spot.  My husband and I live .5 mile away so we've been here quite a lot.
I have never been disappointed in a meal yet!  If you're in the mood for casual bar/american food it's a good spot.  my favorites are the queso dip and the firecracker chicken sandwich (grilled chicken, jalepenos, pepper jack cheese.)  The staff is friendly and the crowd is diverse.  Feels like a real neighborhood bar compared to the Tilted Kilt chain that just opened across the street.

Under new management and it shows. Food is not great, but much better than before. Wait staff is much more organized, friendly, competent, and yes better looking. Hey that is important in a sports bar.

It's amazing what an upgrade in management can do.

I've visited Coldbrew's twice recently since it's near where I live. I try to mix up my lunch choices and decided upon it after craving nachos for a few days.

On my first visit, I ordered their loaded nachos and hot wings. The nachos were what I had expected, except there was a little too much stuff on it for me. I ordered it to go and they had gotten just a little soggy.

The wings were pretty good though,  - not better or worse than any other wings I've had anywhere else, so it served its purpose.

The other day I decided to try their Caribbean jerk wings and spinach dip.

The wings were very good, however, I'll admit that I ordered all flats fried super crispy, so that added to the enjoyment! :)

I'll go on record now and say that I have yet to taste any restaurant's spinach dip as good as Houston's, so it left a lot to be desired. It tasted like a hospital version of spinach dip, instead of the decadent, rich and cheesy dip that I love to indulge at Houston's.

In all, for a place that appeals to the drinking crowd, I was a bit impressed at their effort in making decent, at least edible  food.

I don't think I'd think of them if I really have something tasty in mind, instead, they will satisfy those impromptu cravings.

Decent food and service, and the trivia twice a week is fun. My biggest complaint is a sports bar with flat screen tv's that doesn't want to pay extra for HD. WTF? You're a sports bar and I'm here to eat, drink and watch sports that aren't blurry. Hopefully they wise up quickly or we will find another sports bar to play trivia.

This place is thoroughly OK.  It is a sportsbar that is totally devoid of character.  They have good beer choices and the regular choices of bar food.  I think they are non-smoking, so it is a good place to grab a beer if you want to avoid smoke.

It is what it is.  Not my favorite place, but I go there.

It appears to be kid friendly, but not overrun with kids.

Bartender from Michigan, you suck. Please get rid of your snobby attitude and learn how to make drinks. Moving on now....

A few friends and I used a Scoutmob and went here to watch a Dawgs game by the bar (seems to be needed this season).

The bar was not that busy yet the bartender purposely ignored us and constantly made us wait 5+ minutes to get another drink. We only had 4 drinks a piece over an entire football game and half of another game so it's not like we were pounding drinks or even drunk, for that matter.

We ordered food and she yelled across the bar at us asking us what we had while she was attempting to put the orders in the computer. Also, when our food came, she grabbed a french fry right out of my friend's rib basket and ate one of his fries. My jaw dropped to the floor at this point.

To end our fun time we wanted to take shots and this bartender didn't even know how to make a royal flush or a lemon drop-two very popular shots.

There was another girl behind the bar that was very sweet and often picked up the slack of the other bartender. I didn't complain because we I didn't feel like causing conflict on our fun game day out but I was VERY disappointed in this place.

The food was definitely not the "chef" quality that they claim on their website. The drink specials are good. The staff is trashy and unprofessional. They all gather at the side of the bar to complain about the restaurant being slow and complain about life, right next to customers.

Will I be back? NOT ANY TIME SOON!

Where to begin..... Lets start with service..  i walked in with a friend, we went to the bar for a minute as we had decided to play in the texas hold-em tourney.. stood at the bar for 2 minutes without being recognized.. it  had 3 customers at it .  3.  the bartender was talking on her cell phone, with her back to us, and then when she did turn around, she went over and talked to her existing customers without even greeting us.. and once again...  3 customers she had...  3 !....  and she couldn't even come over to say " hi.  hang on...  i am completely unqualified to be doing this, and i will get to you when i get a chance."  oh no... that would have been to easy.   so we gave up and ambled over to the poker tables.. sat down and almost immediately started playing.  so i was distracted to see who our server was, or even if there was one...  one of the other players elbowed me, and said " there is our server, you better yell out your order now cause you won't see her again for a while."  so i did just that..  i hollered out my order for a bud bottle and she then asked me my name and actually did bring it over quickly...  its almost like she knew she would not be back... cause guess what...... she didn't come back...  so after beer one, i wanted another, and possibly a bite to eat... so i stood up, walked into the main area, found her..  told her that i wanted another beer and i asked if she could bring me a menu...  she ...no joking here...  pointed to a table at least 40 feet from where i was... and said " see that table?  dare  is some menus over dare yous can grab".   that was it...  didn't order food, played my poker game pissed, had one more beer, payed, tipped 15% and left for good..  i will never go back...  just awefull.   no wonder there was only 5 people in the place that were not playing poker...  no poker game=no customers.  its that simple... that poker company should double its fee...  do not waste your time... unless you actually like chicken fingers and potato skins along with bad service....

Solid 3 maybe even a 4.  I only had an app and a couple of beers and played a game of trivia.  $2 house beer was great, just like every other light beer out there.  The cheese ravioli was okay, I would like them a little cheesier (some didn't have any).  I would go back and try some of the other food.  Roswell needs a few more regular bars and this one fits the bill.  Fun activities, good prices, great staff and regular ole' bar food.

The name kinda says it all, right?  Right??

It is what it is as they say.  The food is average sports-bar food, which now-a-days seems a little dated.  Too much competition out there to be just average - and just average for a sports bar is not really average, is it?

Specifically, the smothered chicken I ordered was just not very appetizing.  Smothered in carmelized onions, red peppers, and provolone cheese sounded promising, but in reality was just not that good. The chicken was very salty, the onions and peppers were, I don't know...just not very good.  The fries were ok.

Others at the table had a meatball sub, chicken salad, chili, and a club sandwich.  All said the food was OK.  I guess I made the wrong choice.

The food prices were very reasonable though, except I hate it when a place charges $2.25 for a coke.  I guess that's where they make back their margin.

Lastly, I guess one would go here to drink beers with a large group, play some pool, darts, and watch football or basketball on the flat screens.  For that, I suppose the place might be pretty good.

    Staff was very friendly.

Jonathan:  No, I don't work for any restaurant, and I doubt any of their competitors are too worried about it since this place just sucks.  Maybe your friend that works there hooks you up - free always taste better.  Even at that, the BBQ is probably the worst I've ever had - McRibs were 5 starts compared to what this place serves.   Maybe your connection was the idiot server I dealt with?  Birds of a feather...

Attended a function at this place on Saturday.  Did not partake of the food, but the drinks and the service was the worst I have ever experienced in a long time.  I would not recommend this place until I knew the wait staff realized that they were in a service industry and should come and check on the table they are waiting on.  In addition, no one should have to wave a server down for a table that one is not even sitting at. This place has a lot to improve on.

I have lived in Alpharetta for a couple years, and usually find myself driving to Atlanta for the better food... However, one day, I was a little pressed for time and decided to grab a drink and some lunch at this place. It is a new establishment and has only been open for half a year, so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1, but believe me this place really sucks!!! First off, I ordered a cream and chocolate based alchoholic drink to start off with, I think it was called "chocolate french kiss" or something.... It sounded really good so I ordered it. 20 minutes pass by and I notice that I not only do not have my drink, but the waitress has yet to take my appetizer/lunch order!!! So she straggles over to my table looking lost when she finally says the worst thing a food ordered like myself could hear, "WE DO NOT HAVE THAT DRINK OR THE INGREDIENTS!!!" What a let down! So I ordered a mochatini and called it a day, becasue by now I just wanted to leave. I then ordered the coconut shrimp and some wings and they were mediocre.. Not nasty, just plain.... You guys might as well save your time and go across the street to hOOters  :) Dont waste your time or money because the prices are not the best either and its a boring crowd... Yuck.....
