Visited for the first time on 7/6/13. The lunch service was super slow considering it was a Saturday. The lounge was full and it looked like only one server was covering the entire place. I ordered the Lobster Corn Chowder and my husband got the Fresh Atlantic Salmon. In total, we were there for an hour and a half for just those two dishes - that's how slow the service was!
On top of the slow service, the food was meh. My soup had the meat of one claw and was mostly a giant vat of cream with some corn floating in it. My husband's salmon was overcooked and way too dry.
I can't recommend this place and I definitely wouldn't return here.
My wife and I came to the Common Man on our first night in Lincoln, had beer and cocktails, steak with arugula and mashed potatoes and the lobster ravioli with braised beef. Both cooked according to our wishes, good quality beef and tasty, decent portions. Certainly the Common Man is a good choice, worth the wait, with friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
