  Back at Cookies again on 9/17 son had the Fillet and cream of asparagus soup of course i had the chicken and we shared the potato skins . This joint never changes the food is always cooked to perfection with simply the greatest fried chicken the area has to offer. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food. ice cold beer and fair pricing MAKE COOKIES A GOTTA GO TO SPOT

  Great Place, one of my favorite restaurants.  The food is great and the place hasn't changed in years.  The decor gives an awesome small town feel and the staff makes you feel like you have been going there for years.  The food is very good and the bloody marys are the best I have ever had.  You need to sit and have a pre or post dinner drink at the bar, the service is excellent and the prices are good

  Yep, sure enough, it hasn't changed one little bit.  I hadn't been home in almost 10 years so when I visited last October and my oldest friend in the world said, "You wanna go to Cookie's or Merichka's?" I jumped at the chance to check out Cookie's again. (Though that is not to discredit Merichka's, who doesn't even need reviews; they are legendary.)  I ordered a poorboy (would you believe they don't even know what that is in Arizona? I'm not kidding!) and was in ecstasy.  Tender, buttery, garlicky... I probably reeked of garlic for days but I didn't care. Hell, I wore that smell proudly, eau de poorboy... intoxicating!
