It's a steak buffet. But before you get all excited for an endless supply of super, tender juicy cuts of premium beef, let me warn you: the steak is my least favorite part. No, seriously. I spent the greater part of 3 years hating this place for this very reason. I would say the steak is average- it's edible but you'll definitely be seeking out the bottle of steak sauce to make it taste good.
I've reconsidered my hatred for Coyote Canyon though because I do actually like some of the other items they have. Their soup is always fantastic (the Clam Chowder is sooo good), the rolls are piping HOT and always fresh, Â and my favorite part: the salad bar with oodles and oodles of choices including pasta, seafood salad, cottage cheese, and caesar/garden salads. To me, these things alone are worth $8 (DRINK INCLUDED) for a lunch, since you can't even go to Panera and get a soup, salad and beverage for under $10. Maybe some of you out there would disagree, but that's my humble opinion and goshdarnit, I'm entitled to it!
They also have a pretty good hot food section where they feature tacos, fried chicken, pizza, and the usual "buffet" foods. Today's special was make your own steak burgers. I didn't oblige but it looked pretty darn tasty.
Also, in regards to Jason S's review on 10/14/11 -- yes it's true. It may sound cruel, but we did notice they have a certain type of clientele. I understand why though -- where else can you go and get an unlimited amount of food for that cheap? If I was broke, I'd go here for lunch and eat for the day too. Everyone minded their own business though and no one will bother you, so don't let that keep you from trying the place.
