I've been here several times and it's pretty much the same crappy experience every time. The servers/cashiers seem more interested in hanging out with their friends sitting at the tables than anything else. Recently, I stopped in to order a piña colada smoothie and the young woman asked *me* what's in it...seriously?

They have ice cream. Big deal. There is absolutely nothing at the Cozy Cow you cannot get elsewhere nearby with better service. The only thing it has going for it is location. The 'patio' is directly beside an asphalt parking lot (the cars can park less than 3 feet from your seat) and sits on concrete, and is the last place you'd want to sit on a summer day to enjoy a cold treat.

Highs: location. Lows: service and price. I don't predict a long existence for this place unless service improves drastically.

Cozy Cow has ice cream. It might have other stuff, too, but I didn't notice.

The ice cream is good. It's very good. They give you a lot. I ate all mine. My wife ate some of hers, but it fell off the cone. She didn't cry. She's a big girl. I would have offered her some of mine, but I had already snarfed it. The. Whole. Thing.

It's right next to the bike path. It's on the way home from the movies. You can sit inside or out. I believe I'll be back.

Cozy Cow is a nice place, though the servers could have been just a leeeeeetle bit friendlier to me, a new customer, instead of yakking to old friends. I get it, but I'd like to feel like an old friend, too. The prices are good for this quality of ice cream - about the same as Brewsters, with much, much better food.

    Just about everybody: go there.

Except for one guy. My wife and I were sitting outside on the, er, patio, which is just the sidewalk outside the store. It was a little cozy, and the mosquitoes eventually got annoying, but it was nice.

    Until.

Until a thoughtless guy in a black Escalade pulled into the space right next to us. Remember that the patio is only sort of a patio - it's right next to parking. It's all paved, and it's Alabama. It's hot. And here comes a huge hot black SUV squashing us into the hot brick wall. And he leaves it on while he goes into the store, A/C running. Believe what you want about global warming: I'm talking about other people warming. It wasn't at all pleasant.

All he had to do was shut off his car while he got his ice cream. Better, park in one of the other spaces - there are plenty. Clueless Cadillac guy: stop going there. Or grow a little bit of conscience or whatever it takes.
