Took the wife here for dinner last night after several years of not eating here. Â Only one complaint.... Â We were sat in a booth right next to a table of young babies - ugghhh! Â I looked down to my right and saw 15 - 20 open quiet booths? Why sit a couple right next to this if you dont have to? Â Had to endure. The tantrums , throwing food etc. Â ruined the meal. Â The food was good. Â The campfire chicken is really good.
Review Source:Went for the first time. The hostess was confused at first but they seemed to get through it. The food was awesome. The home made bread was great. We had kabobs and a steak. The food was cooked right to ordered. You will not leave the place hungry. Dinner for 2 around $50.00 no alcohol drinks.
Review Source:Similar to another reviewer, I avoided Crazy Horse for a long time. Â For me, it wasn't the location so much as the fact that it is one of those dark, older looking restaurants. Â
Reluctantly, I visited a couple of months ago with some friends and I was more than pleasantly surpised. Â The staff was attentive, the homemade bread with the honey butter is to die for, and the food was very tasty. Â I have been back three more times since each time with similar results,
The object lesson for me is not to jump to conclusions.
PS Â Don't wear a tie or they will cut it off and hang it on the wall
I avoided Crazy Horse for some time on account of its location (strip mall) and its obvious similarity to chain restaurants. Â While I'm not a fan of the decor or atmosphere (what's up with the cut up ties on the wall- hello- it isn't clever!), the food is solid, and they have a nice selection of very interesting craft beers. Â Their crab cakes are the BEST I've had in the area (was not expecting that!), and their bacon-wrapped fillet was everything I hoped it would be and more. Â I keep missing the more exotic weekly specials- Can't wait to try the kangaroo! Â I've eaten here several times with my fiance and Dad and have never had a bad meal. Â In fact, when my Dad comes to town from Florida, he always wants to go to Crazy Horse now (even though it's more than half an hour from where I live)!
Review Source:Spurred to try this place by a 10% discount offered to patrons of a nearby hotel, we found this rather large restaurant tucked away in the elbow of a strip mall. Â But you'd never know by its relatively small storefront just how big it is inside.
Our main impression - menu selection, decor, service style - is definitely akin to the Texas Roadhouse chain all the way down to the spent peanut shells all over the floor. Â The biggest and most refreshing difference for us was that various game meats were available. Â One game meat (elk, kangaroo, venison, etc) is featured by the chef's choice.
So we had the alligator tail appetizer and the wife had the elk sirloin. Â It was tempting to order the bison sirloin, but I was just too hungry to find the small 8-oz portion at their spendy price adequate and opted for the larger 11-oz ribeye instead.
Outside of a slight price-portion issue, the food itself was quite good. Â If there has to be one, the somewhat bland alligator tail would be the low note of the evening but keep in mind that alligator meat is notoriously light on flavor no matter where you go (yes, tastes like chicken!). Â Wife's elk was marbled with flavor but, alas, the portion was awfully small - two medallions each the size of a large brussel sprout or small Roma tomato. Â I have to say that in all the restaurants I've ever been to over many years, I've never had a steak cooked medium-rare so perfectly and good flavor too! Â The ribeye being cut thinner than usual allows it to cook quicker but more evenly - a nice alternative to the usual thick-cut half-bloody, half-well-done meat found at many steak establishments.
The rest of the menu has all the same fare as the aforementioned Texas Roadhouse - steak, pork, chicken and typical deep fryer selections. Â On a side note, each table has an ecclectic selection of steak, BBQ, and hot sauce.
Tasty, though pricey for the portion, would we go again? Â Yes, but sparingly.
Decided to stop by here for dinner on a Friday night. Located in a shopping plaza. Restaurant is very big once you are inside.
We were seated and that is when the service started to go down hill. If we had service. Our waitress was nonexistent. It took forever to get drinks, took forever to place our order. Service was horrible. My drink sat empty forever and was never even asked if I wanted another one.
On to the food. Started with the alligator tail. Was ok. It was served with cocktail sauce, usually have honey mustard. Also had the chili cheese fries. They were good. I had the bacon wrapped fillet and a crab cake. Steak was pretty good. Crab cake was full of meat, but very small. Could have eaten it in one bit. Also had some of the crab stuffed talapia. That was good.
So overall it is not a bad place, just the service was horrible. Food is ok. Nothing spectacular.
