I love this place.  We have celebrated birthdays and promotions here several times.  The best part is that even when they have a band playing, it doesn't over power the whole place!  You can sit close and listen, or sit in one of the nooks and have an intimate conversation. :)  The food is fantastic.  The fried pickles are my favorite.  My husband loves it for the great variety of beer and I believe they are an all ages establishment.  Everyone should try Cregeen's.

It was my first day in Arkansas and it just happened to be St Patrick's so where else would I go than my neighborhood Irish bar a block away. It started out super tame, but definitely picked up and was a blast.
The drinks were great, the bartenders were charming and the foods was tasty. I'm looking forward to partaking on a non-holiday.
I highly recommend the chicken fingers and bbq sauce. And the side Caesar salad was huge and delicious.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and good beer selection. Unfortunately the food was awful. Fish and chips were all but inedible and there are no words to describe the coleslaw. Somebody there needs to figure this dish out because it isn't difficult and should be a pretty safe choice in an Irish Pub.

Yep, a pseudo Irish Pub. This has been assembled in Ireland, and shipped over in pieces. Not an original idea. I have seen this type of pub done better, but it still looks nice. Dark wood paneling abound. A relatively long bar is centrally located, and sectioned off. Plenty of corners for dinners that are sectioned off as well, and a nice area to sit outside. A few of TV's turned to sports, and music playing. Typical and kind of cookie cutter, but still enjoyable.

The service is fine, but not really that well informed about the beer. Someone asked for that "skinny beer" and the bartenders did not know what they were talking about. I found it obvious that they wanted New Belgium Skinny Dip (which was the special for the night). Though they are friendly and attentive. The quality of the beer seemed fine. No old or dirty taps on my visit. The food is typical pub grub. with burgers, wings, and the obligatory fish and chips, banger n mash staples along with some other sandwiches. I had a rueben that was decent.  Beer list is New Belgium, Diamond Bear, Boulevard, Sam Adams, and a few other macros.

Overall, this is a nice place to grab a beer. Besides the two brewpubs in town, and the Flying Saucer this might be the only other place to grab some craft beers. Fairly average, but a decent place that I can see being a regular haunt of mine if I lived in town.

I enjoyed my visit here. I came with two friends for dinner and a drink and was surprised to find the neighborhood and restaurant here. Creegeen's was a pleasant surprise for me. We walked in and there was a hostess booth and so we thought someone would be seating us but no one really came by. We kind of stepped in a little more and found eventually one of the servers said we could sit anywhere we wanted. The pub style three top we sat on was a little awkward right in between a huge pillar in between the bar and the door. A busy and clumsy placement. A lot of good beers available, Guinness yes, but also other Irish beers not made by Diageo. I had a Murphy's which I think is creamier and tastier than Guinness. My friend got an Irish milkshake, which we assumed was a spiked milkshake but was actually more of a foo-foo martini drink.

I ordered Irish Nachos as an appetizer, a tasty mixture made with potato chips, corned beef and spicy sauerkraut a strange mix. I've had 'Irish nachos' before which was just nacho stuff on chips. The ones here were something new, with the spicy kraut being a pleasant surprise and the corned beef works really well too, something I was also wary of.

I got their shepherd's pie as ell which was also startingly good. The last shepherd's pie I had was plain, a rather bland stew with mashed potatoes scooped over it. The shepherd's pie here was a big platter of beef and veggies with a thick layer potatoes over it. Tasty, a big portion and pretty easy on the wallet.

Our server, Molly was also friendly and attentive. She came to check on us frequently, didn't pressure us to leave and I left there full and happy.

Oh, Creegan's. How I want to love you, but cannot. Things have not been up to par the past few times I've been here. In fact, during the worst and most memorable visit, our party of four sat for close to 20 minutes without being waited on. Things were busy, yes. However, we were sitting near the front door and had multiple servers pass us in a frenzied state. Instead of apologizing, we were ignored. So we decided to leave and head to a different bar down the street.

Its cool that you imported all the decor from Ireland...but your service is lacking!

I'm only rating on atmosphere and beer because the kitchen was closed :-( sad day for a girl who loves food.

ANYwho, a pint of guiness was $5... that's fine. The place was packed but it was really cool, I loved the "Irish" feel! Not that I've ever been to Ireland but whatever. I'd come back for some food if I got the chance! The people were very friendly :)

As part of our guided tour of the Little Rock area my parents brought me and my girlfriend to Cregeen's for some late afternoon libation.  It was the day after Christmas so it was kinda dead when we got there.  Eventually a few other folks made their way in too, which helped the overall vibe quite a bit.

I immediately ordered a Guinness, they always taste better at an Irish pub!   We were only up for a couple of apps to go with the the drinks and we decided on the Irish nachos and the fried pickles.  The nachos were a creative take on the standard fare.  They had a base of kettle-style potato chips topped with corned beef, gouda, sauerkraut and sour cream.  They were very good, although not a very large portion for almost 8 bucks.  The fried pickles were OK, but probably just came from a bag.

The ambiance is awesome, they even have an old school "snug".  Back in the day (in Ireland!) it was for the ladies to get away from the hordes of drunken dudes.  At Cregeen's I can see how this area might be nice for families trying to get away from the crowd.

I wish we were planning on eating dinner there, as I saw a number of items on the menu that looked great.  I guess I'll just have to make my way back the next time I'm in town!

Food is deplorable at best, but the Beer is good. Don't expect anything other than a good bar atmosphere and greasy takes on Irish Faves. 29 taps and a huge liquor wall.

While in town visiting with friends, someone mentioned that there was an authentic Irish pub close by. We hopped the trolley and headed over. We enjoyed the trolley ride as the driver pointed out things to see. Jumped off at the pub stop.

Being greeted at the door with a chalkboard message that simply said "Have fun or we might throw you out" made us all laugh. When we questioned our server if we could have too much fun, she quipped, "We're a pub not a restaurant." Good answer!

My dining companions got alcoholic beverages and pronounced the pear cider tasty and the Black Russians well made.

The pub itself was lovely inside. Having never set foot inside a real Irish pub, I couldn't tell you authentic from cheap Wal-Mart knock-off, but the dark woods made for a cozy environment. We were seated in the breakfast nook area.

Service was not as prompt or as attentive as I might have liked especially since the place was fairly empty on a weekday in the afternoon.

I chose the corned beef and cabbage which was quite tasty. The corned beef was nicely done without being overdone and the cabbage had not been cooked down to a grey mass. The potatoes were heavenly.  I can see how this place would be fun to go back to if I lived in Little Rock.

Overall, the less-than-enthusiastic service and having to look for a server at times was a drawback for me.

This is a reliable, pleasant pub. I've been here many times for lunch, drinks, dinner and music. It's beautifully decorated with dark woods and various little areas or rooms that allow for some intimacy if you don't want to sit in the large main room. It's also loud here, and if the patrons aren't loud, the music will be playing at a good volume.

The food is very good, and I've never had anything bad here, though I do not like the hummus here very much (but I didn't expect to in an Irish pub!). I've had the boxty farthing (crispy potato pancakes) several times, and that's always a favorite for us. I've also had the fish and chips many times, and my husband has always been satisfied -- but not delighted -- with his choices from the menu.

The Guinness is great here, along with other choices on tap. And the overall pub experience is definitely enjoyable. I'll keep going back for the pub atmosphere and the great brews on tap.

Good beer and spirit selection. Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:17-9:17 is Lady's Nite, all drinks $2.

I went here with my wife for dinner (4th time) a couple of nights ago. Our experience was pretty representative of our previous visits.

The facility is reasonably clean, and pleasantly decorated. The bar, tables, etc. were pretty similar to the pubs I went to throughout the UK, except for the 15' ceiling, never saw that in an English pub before.

The choice of beer was good, of course, Guinness was on tap and was poured decently. I haven't had the cocktails personally, but other people who've joined us for dinner there liked them well enough.

The food. The menu had been updated with some new items since my last visit, some of the new items look good.

I don't know much about traditional Irish cooking, but they seem to have done a decent job with it. the food seems well prepared, if a bit bland (but I think most places are bland). I've had the guinness stew, irish breakfast, shepherd pie, corned beef and cabbage, as well as most of the appetizers.

None of the these things wowed me, but none of them were poor or bad either. they all seem freshly prepared.

all-in-all, not a great dinner place. more of a place to have a few drinks with friends, watch sports (no thanks), and maybe have something to eat while you happen to be there.

we really need a gastro-pub in central Arkansas, like the places I went to in Toronto. terrific food, terrific drinks, real pub atmosphere.

came once during the week at around 2. had the special of the day which was called chicken cottage pie or something. it was DELICIOUS! came with a salad and a homemade vinaigrette which was great too. service was good, the bar had a nice vibe, food was affordable, and just over all liked it. if i went to little rock again, i for sure would come here. wish i got to see it during happy hour or at night.

Thank you for being one of the few non-smoking bars around here. I like going home not reeking of cigarette smoke. Even better than smoke free, this place was douchebag free the night I went. I can't vouch for the other nights, but I appreciate not having the stench of douchebags floating around in the air yesterday.

As for the mixed drinks/shots, they're a hit or a miss depending on what you order. Some drinks were weak, while other drinks were so strong they could be used disinfect kitchen countertops. Despite the inconsistency with the drinks, I still give this place four stars since this is an Irish pub. They have a good beer menu, which I think I'll order from the next time I'm here. I echo a previous poster's Strongbow observation. I haven't been able to order Strongbow since I've left the Boston-area (my college had it on tap. awesome.) and that makes me sad.

This is one place that I have been looking forward to because of two reasons, BEER and BEER. On a Monday afternoon two friends and I walked in at around 6pm. The first impression is "Wow, huge doors followed by more huge doors." Once we were in we were seated by a gracious waitress. No hostess but it was a Monday and it was early so that could be excused. When I enter a pub that claims to be "AN IRISH PUB" the last thing I want to hear is Bob Marley or local piped radio music. But we made do. Once we were seated, our waitress came to our table and asked for our drink menu. I ordered a Guinness and my friends ordered blue moon and blvd wheat. My guinness came out still 'falling'.  It was nice to see the 'action' of the beer and better yet, it tasted wonderful. nice smooth silky with all the wonders of Guinness. After we looked at the menu, we decided to each take something that we all wanted to sample. I ordered the fish and chips and my friends ordered the shepards pie and the shrimp with dill. Here is where the experience started to go south. A traditional fish and chips is 3 or 4 pieces of fish with chips served with a malt vinegar. This was one HUGE piece of fish with above average chips and I had to ask for the vinegar.  The batter on the fish was a bit greasy but somewhat flavorful. However, the size was enough to ask for a crash cart. The batter was thick and seemed to not add to the fish but just cover it. When it was delivered, it looked like a piece of deep fried pork not fish at all. If  less batter was used on smaller pieces of fish then they would have achieved their objective of fish and chips.  My friends shrimp dish was VERY GOOD. Moist tender shrimp w/ a flavorful sauce and the perfect amount of seasonings. That was one that we all agreed on. We started on the shepards pie and after two bites, we sent it back. The ground beef was not cooked and the flavor fell short. I think that we may have been served a prepped one and not a cooked one. After we brought it to the attention of our server, she promised that it would be fixed. When it came back to the table it was served by the chef who then explained why it 'appeared' raw. Nonetheless, me being a chef I listened, his appearence at the table was a plus but the reason was far from the truth. I sat back ordered another Guinness and reflected on what just happened.

While we were eating dinner, we noticed people carrying cases in and was like, "humm this could be good."  It was good.  A small group of people started playing Celtic and Irish music. Alas, Bob Marley was gone.

The overall experience was above average. Megan, our waitress, was OUT OF THIS WORLD. She was fun, spot on, outgoing and eager to serve, Something that some places fall short on.

I will visit this place again on a friday or Saturday and give you another report.

Until then, order often and tip well, if it is deserved.

Glad we finally have some ethnicity in the restaurants here  - so support this place. It's a start.  Great selection of Irish/English beers.
The food is OK - but its pricey - even for lunch.Fish N' Chips is one piece of fish. I've never been to an Irish Pub in the U.S. that gives you only 1 piece for $8+ dollars.  Fries have often been cold.
The potato pancakes (Irish Boxty)were awesome -small but tasty and quite a few. I believe they had scallions in them. Great taste.
The bread pudding was really, really some of the best I've had.
My only complaint is that ONE piece of fish simply isn't enough for what they charge. I'm not a big eater - but when I want fish and chips - I want some fish.
I've been here for St. Patty's Day and it's a PARTY and the place to go.

Cregeen's is an Irish Pub. Sort of cookie-cutter as far as Irish Pubs go, the place was built with materials shipped from Ireland, just like a couple Irish Pubs here in Atlanta. Still, the place was decked out with rich woods and was very clean. They had Woodchuck on tap, which I certainly enjoy, but strange that they did not have any Irish or British ciders on tap such as Woodpecker or Strongbow. A Black Velvet really should use Strongbow. No matter to me though, I did enjoy this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice bar to sit and have a few drinks at.

I cannot personally speak for the food, but what my companions ordered did look good.

Cregeen's is just over the bridge from downtown, so stop in after work for a pint. :)
