Came here with my gf on a weekday. Waited at the bar to get our pool balls while the only employee was elsewhere. The table we played on was a little warped, all but one pool stick on the rack was bent, and the one that wasn't bent had a bad tip. I would have used my own stick but I left it at home in Redding because I didn't know I was going to play pool in Merced.. Anyways, this place was pretty dirty. At one point during our game, a cockroach fell from the light onto the table and it quickly scurried into the cue ball's shadow. That made it a bit hard to play. Meanwhile, two local douche bags were spending their time checking out my gf when we were obviously together.. low class and gross. Overall, pool here was cheap, but with warped tables, bent sticks, cockroaches on the table, and douche bags staring down my gf, I can safely say I will never return. Visit at your own risk and bring bug spray. Yuck!
Review Source:My friends and I needed a night out so we decided to go shoot some pool.
I haven't been here in months and this place looks great. I'm glad they extended it and added more pool tables because it used to be smaller and almost too compact for busy nights. It looks great. I think the idea of adding two entrance doors on both sides of the building is a great idea. They did a great job remodeling this place.
The owners and employees are very polite. This is a good place to come hangout with a group of friends. It's not one of those dirty pool hall places that I've been to in other cities. It's very clean and spacious.
Only place you can play on big tables in tournaments 9-ball on Thursday that is the one I like. As for food I get the super nachos. Or the super burrito smothered in green sauce but you can order from the menu. It gets delivered from the restaurant across the street. My wife is working on the 99 bottles of beer t-shirt I prefer corona. Friendly staff and atmosphere.
Review Source:One of the best and only places to play pool in Merced. 8) Prices are reasonable and the workers are nice. It's a place where I can buy a beer or snacks, play pool and order J&R Tacos without feeling awkward.
This place is huge; it has many pool tables. Players rank from newbie to pros. (It's fun watching the pros, although it makes me feel bad because I suck...) Clean bathrooms. Tables, cue sticks and furniture may not be in the best condition but they're decent and do the job! The place is clean. There's a jukebox where you can pay and play whatever your ears desire. And well, this place is cool. I haven't had a bad time here yet. All and all if you and your friends are bored, give this place a try. This is something you can do in Mercedizzle.
This place is just okay. Â The spacing is inefficient along with the fact that they don't have any real food. Â They sell snacks like twinkies and stuff but nothing more. Â They have a decent selection of beverages ranging from soda and beer. Â The juke box makes for the atmosphere along with great prices. Â This place has a lot of potential though.
