Don't believe the hype. The gyros were one of the worst I ever had. The gryo place at Wausau Mall is a tad better and Mikey's in Schofield has good gyros but the have made them alot smaller and jacked up the price. Sorry for the bad news but the best place for a great gryo is at Gyros and Kabob House in Stevens Point. Nummo

Not alot needs to be said about Danny's Sports Page. It's great, they have the BEST, I mean the BEST Gyro's in all of Wausau if not the whole state of WI!! No lie, they have been voted best Gyro's years in a row and always have a stand at the Fair with a long line.

I have been coming here to eat Gyro's since I was a kid and the owners are extremely friendly. Danny is the owner and his wife is Tula, both from Greece. Just be warned (someone said this in an earlier review also), Danny is a HUGE GB Packer fan....

Please give them a try if you haven't,  you won't be disappointed! They have been around since my childhood and I hope God willing that they will be around when my kids are old enough to eat a Gyro.

Danny's Sports Page is one of my favorite places in Wausau.

  Danny's is really a sports bar that serves incredible gyro's. You can have the traditional lamb, chicken or a more Mediterranean style with peppers and olive oil (the name escapes me).

  Danny's has been voted best gyro's in town by City Pages several times. They also have excellent hamburgers and the VERY best french fries in town which are homemade when you order.

  Best of all you can literally have a beer, a gyro and a huge tray of fries for about 10 bucks.

  Danny and his wife, who are from Greece have been in the area for many years and they are well known for serving up great food.

  The place is full or regulars that order the same thing everyday, and its easy to see why.

  One warning, Danny is a big Green Bay Packers fan, don't tell him you root for any other team!
