Owned by the same Darin that used to own Darin's Port in Port Jefferson, this spot is located in the former home of the Cornerstone Pub, which then became Hey Joe Piano Bar, which then became Music of the Night. Â This bar gets a happy hour crowd of local workers, who park their work trucks in the lot and can be spotted (well, only twice have I actually seen this) urinating truckside right next to their company's phone # . Â
The bar opens at 11am daily, and is nice and dark inside, which gives your morning whiskey that little extra something. Â Avoid the beer taps, as the lines don't seem to have been cleaned since the Cornerstone inhabited this spot some 6 years ago.
No food, but they've got no problem with you going next door to Little Kenny's (see review http://www.yelp.com/biz/… ) and bringing in a slice. They'll put out food from there sometimes, and there is a gas grill just outside the back door, although I don't recall ever seeing it in operation.
