My friends and I came here one Saturday night, looking to try a new watering hole. Â We came for dinner and stayed for the live band. Â The food was okay- I ordered boneless wings with the hot sauce and a bowl of chili. Â The chili was good- super meaty! Â The wings weren't that great- mine were mostly breading, with minimal meat :/ The hot sauce was great on them, though- it was super hot, but you could still taste the flavor (not just numbing-your-taste-buds hotness). Originally, I was considering getting the Better-Than-Sex sauce- honestly, with a name like that, you gotta try it- but after sampling some of the sauce, I passed. The sauce was terrible! Makes me really question the quality of the sex that its creator was having when they named it... Anyways, we ordered drinks as well- several beers and one super potent margarita. Â Seriously, it was all booze. Â I highly recommend trying it- it's called the Badlands Margarita and it really packs a punch- the knock-you-on-your-ass kind. Â
The best part of the night was band! Â They had an awesome rock cover band playing- just a bunch of old guys busting out some rock classics! These guys were pretty talented too- all of them could sing, so they each did vocals for different covers. Â Very cool. Â I would have liked to stay for the whole show, but my friends wanted to roll out to a younger, hip-er bar. Â This crowd that night was mostly over 40. Â My friends and I were probably the youngest people there haha. Â Overall, I enjoyed the music and the super potent margarita, but I would probably pass on the food next time.
The ribs were outstanding, tender and flavorful. Â Their homemade chips were crispy and fresh side salad with Italian dressing was very good. We all couldn't resist trying our grandson's beer battered chicken tenders which were so good. Our cocktails were yummy as were the biscuits. We look forward to eating at the tavern the next time we visit our family.
