  I've had trouble finding a good breakfast stop in Corvallis. Darrel's having four stars thought we would give it a try. We were seated very quickly and service was prompt. We ordered and not even 5 minutes later we had our order. VERY QUICK. Had bacon and eggs. Crispy hash browns and thick meaty bacon. Over medium eggs we made just that, unlike other places that always over cook them. Overall it's an above average breakfast joint in a old school diner setting

  So, this has become one of our regular breakfast spots. I think we come at least once a week. The food always comes out fast and cooked perfectly. My favorites are the chicken fried steak, pancakes, and the hashbrowns. YUM!

  Classic breakfast type diner right down to the tables and coffee cups.  Food was good as was the service.
  I wouldn't make a point of searching this place out just to try, but if you need solid food in a good, clean environment this place is good.

  I heart Darrell's!  My boyfriend and I go there on a fairly regular basis.  I love, love, love the biscuits and gravy.  They are country girl approved!  Unlike the wallpaper paste they feed you in most places this stuff actually looks like it's made from scratch.  Plus, the waitstaff is always really nice.  They also cater to my boyfriend's borderline obsession with coffee creamer.  
  
  The country fried steak is okay, but the gravy makes it awesome.  I order extra for the fries.  I really get breakfast here most of the time, though sometimes I get a club sandwich.
  
  Great place to get your hungover breakfast on, get a pre-roadtrip breakfast, or just go for a nice low-key evening dinner.

  Went again for dinner.  Still good, but not as great as the first visit.  We'll be back... still need to try the chicken fried steak.

  We've eaten here many times.  Great place.  A classic American diner  with fast, friendly service and really good food.  Many items are home made.  A restaurant doesn't stay in business for multiple decades and family generations without knowing what they're doing.

  I'm pretty sure this is my favorite post hangover breakfast, the coffers is hot and black, Bacon and hashbrowns are just greasy enough and they always get my over easy eggs actually over easy. make local habit!

  This is my father's very favorite restaurant in town. "I feel right at home here." is what he says. I enjoy the food too. They have the BEST blue cheese salad dressing I have EVER had. They make it themselves. Their breakfasts are excellent - skillets and omelettes. I love that the place is a throwback to 1970 - I feel right at home too.

  Yay Darrel's! Corvallis may not have much for food, but it does greasy dive food well. In over 20 years I have never had a bad meal at Darrel's, nor a waitress anything other than pleasant. The bar is pleasant too, funky and friendly.

  Generally good food, as its all made on site, however recently they have had some turnover in the cooking staff, so its a bit hit or miss lately.  Try the corned beef hash or the soup, but skip on the bread.

  On one side of the place is the Amber Room, which appears to have burst straight from Doc Brown's time machine set on about, oohhh, 1968. Your basic dive bar, but not. It was clean and at no time whatsoever did I feel as though I would likely be stabbed. Not even when I went outside to smoke. On the other side is the diner, which is pretty much like any other diner in the world. Also, no stabbings occurred there either!
  
  Really, I love a place where you can slowly kill yourself in two ways; Grease and booze.

  Great breakfast joint, one of the best in Corvallis.. Way better alternative to the chains Sharis, ect...
  I love the Amber Room (the bar)... Good place to get a good breakfast and one of the best bloody marys in town!
  Definitely not fancy, but has a unique diner appeal!
