old school arcades with brand new arcades mix with good food and booze. It doesn't get any better than this except food should be cheaper. I've been here many times. I just wish they had more modern fighting arcades.

Happy hour drink prices are reasonable. Food is disgusting though - eat here at your own peril. Burgers especially should be avoided.

Ive been here several times at different times of the day.

Todays visit was a rough one. We were there to play with the small claw machines and all three were out of order. Thank goodness, they had big claw machine- my kiddo won a basketball on his first try- hooray (one less tantrum for the day!).

We came here when they first open so it wasn't chaotic and majority of the games were available to play, also it was easier to find game mechanics when needed.

I planned a group team building event for work at this location a few months ago. I contacted the catering and events manager and she quickly got back to me with all the information on the several options we had to choose from. Booking the event was simple.

The food and service leaves a little to be desired. I would have thought that it would have been better organized since the event was arranged for a set number of people attending.

-They didn't have the correct number of utensil sets
-The appetizer plates were brought out AFTER the platters of food were already served (why not bring those out while we were waiting for the food?!?)
    - When they did finally bring out the appetizer plates, they didn't bring enough for the whole group and then had to go back and get more. Again, you knew how many guests were with our group. How hard is it to count to 14?
-They started bringing out everyone's meal before they cleared the appetizer platters and plates.
-I placed an order for one of each of the 7 desserts for the group to share, we ended up with the same small plates problem only this time it was compounded with the fact that they didn't bring us enough spoons or forks. (The ability to count to 14 doesn't seem to be a prerequisite to work at D&B's)

Its the little things that really make a difference with service. And the little things at this location sure did add up to be a big problem.

As for my meal, I ordered the grilled salmon and it was absolutely the worst salmon I have ever had. It was AT LEAST 5 minutes overdone. Pretty gross. The broccoli was good, but it would be pretty sad if they messed that up.

The appetizers and desserts were great! I would come back again for sure just for those treats. +2 stars

What saved the day was the event host. He was so enthusiastic and made the afternoon a ton of fun. He easily got everyone involved and kept control of the group. He really made the whole outing worth while. + 2 stars

-1 star for abysmal lunch service

Chuck E Cheese for adults.  Where an adult can be a kid.  (Do they still use that slogan?)

This is the cleanest arcade around.  They frequently rotate out games and you will never find torn leather or duct tape.  At night they crank up the music and turn D&B into a club.  They even have a bouncer out front checking IDs.  The prizes are geared towards adults but they still have silly nonsense for the kids that come.  Mom can get a blender with her tickets, the kids can get stuffed animals or slinkies.

The food isn't great, but this isn't a restaurant.  It's a bar with games.

Went here with a group of friends and the service was GREAT! She was really cheerful and attentive. The second star is mostly for her.
    The food, however, was horrid.
    Burgers were bland.
    Pasta was bland.
The baked mac and cheese was bland.

Fries were well seasoned as well as the chicken tenders and breaded chicken.

In other words, just get the appetizers.

My eight year old kids enjoyed the games, but the lunch was not that great and very expensive. The tickets you "earn" from the games are near worthless. Unless you spend a small fortune on games all you can buy with the tickets is worthless junk.

The server gave us the bill for a different table. We recognized that and he then gave us the correct bill. On my next credit card statement I see they charged us for our bill as well as the other table's bill. Now I'm trying to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

I came here with a party of 9 people. We had a terrible experience. I felt like the waitress did not care about service because she was going to get gratuity anyway. She forgot a total of 5 or so things. Whether it was swapping regular fries with sweet potato fries. To forgetting about ordering another beer and even asking her for chips on the side. My co worker ordered a soda and the waitress came back 15 minutes later and asked us if we needed anything... Uh hello where the hell is my soda? Also I watched her text on her phone multiple times out in the open. Wow and they expect to tack on gratuity. I don't recommend going here especially with a large party. They just don't care and if tip is included then you can definitely throw service out of the window.

First of all, I haven't been to the Great Mall in a decade. It's not so great anymore, it's more ghetto these days.

Second of all, I haven't been to a Dave and Busters in almost a decade either.

Don't get me wrong, if you're a young adult and just turned 21, this place is probably pretty good. You get to drink, play video games, act a fool with your friends...the bar food is actually pretty good as well. But if you've done all this in your 20s, then this place no longer has the "wow" it once did. Anyone over 29 that thinks this place still rocks is somewhat socially delayed (or just moved from the Midwest and have never been here). I've said it and I'm entitled to my opinion.

So in essence - great if you're of appropriate age, want a place to hang with friends or watch sports, or if you're a newly minted Midwesterner. Not good if you have options in the City (SF of course). They don't even carry St. Germain to mix with gin. Yeah it's not the Ritz.

We had our company dinner here. The food was not that fantastic, pretty average at best.

However, what appeals the crowd is something entirely different. For kids (below 21), there is a wide selection of arcade games to keep you entertained. The adults (folks above 21), there is the drinks menu ;)

I'd say that this place caters to people of all ages. While the food may not be that great, it is definitely a fun place to visit.

The last two times that I have been here within the last two months were HORRIBLE. Good luck getting any decent service.
The last time I was here, the server went on a lunch and the group I was with, waited over 20 minutes before I asked for a manager. The food took forever to come out and half of our food was missing. Server explained that four of their chefs quit. ummm, ok? So the service here is poor and also the treatment of employees?
I paid for another person's food and drinks. I asked for the receipt and the server said he did not know how to separate the tabs. I left early to find out that the server messed up and still placed the items I paid for on the tab. They had the server try and calculate the correct amount, but in the end the rest of the group ended up paying more and tipping more (eventhough he thanked me for a nice tip).
I use to be a server and I know how hard it is sometimes to be short staffed and be busy, but still. That's too many mistakes in one night.

I never really had any problems here. It's a fun place to play some games, grub, and drink. The servers can probably be/look/sound a little more cheerful though.

Their late night happy hour starts at 10pm-close. It attracts more of the younger crowd and it can get really packed at times. I think it's fun to drink and play a few games while being a little buzzed.

Their food is decent. It isn't like "to die for" though. Otherwise this is a good place to have a little fun and eat. + it's connected to the mall.

Car Racing Games, Dance Dance Revolution, Pool, Shooting video games, picture booths, Ski Ball and a full bar and restaurant.  Food is pretty good..burgers, nachos, pasta.  I came during the day on a weekend, lots of little kids...I imagine the scene at night is a lot different. I'm not really into video games but any where can be fun with the right company. My 2 year old had a blast just sitting behind the wheel of one of the car racing games. Staff is friendly, service in the restaurant was a bit slow but nothing horrible.

I have been to this D&Bs a couple of times and it was ok, but this last experience makes it the last time that I ever visit or refer this establishment to anyone.  The reason is that the service is right on terrible.  Our waitress served our food and asked if we needed anything else, we did and it never came out.  As a matter of fact that was the last time we saw her until she gave us the check.  We had to flag other servers for assistance, who were either annoyed with us for asking them or asked us who our server was, which I thought I was not responsibility to remember the name of my server.

Then we got our bill and paid, that took even more time than our dinner.  We paid and when we got back our change it was short a quarter.  Yeah, I am talking about 25 cents.  When I asked, you gave me the wrong change she began to be annoyed and said its 25 cents.  Its not the money that I was worried about, I wanted to get a reaction and it didn't disappoint as expected her attitude was horrible.

I usually don't write a review, but there is seriously a lack of training and control at this place.  I have been at other D&Bs and have had a great time, but this one is the worst.

I haven't actually dined at the restaurant here in a long time, so this review is based only on my dining at the bar experience, and during happy hour.

I'm always satisfied with the bar service here.  As busy as they on happy our Friday, bar tenders here always managed to make their rounds to check on their customers.  Unlike other reviews regarding the long wait on food, my food came out rather quickly when I was there 2 weeks ago.

Their food is decent but too bad they don't have an awesome happy hour menu.  Their happy hour menu does not include food but only 1/2 off on drinks.  It would be nice if they add some discount food items to their happy hour menu.

I'm not going to waste much time on this place..

The drinks are WEAK and measured. Even for happy hour place is a rip off. You're better off buying a shot. The staff takes forever to get your order. Last time it took me 10 min to close out my tab. And there was only about 10 people at the bar. But what makes it worst is the security is on some kind of power trip. Rude, full of it, and don't care what you have to say. One time I asked to speak to a manager, and ended up getting kicked out. And it was for something they did - I wasn't even drinking. Even after spending a couple of hundred they booted me. They really dont care. I have been back a couple of times (not by choice) and still had bad service.

The only reason why they even get a star is because their food isn't bad. Its just the place as a company, sucks. You're better off spending your money else where.

This place has a great happy hour for drinks. Half off mixed drinks! I also love coming here on Wednesdays. Half off games!  Other than that, the prices are reasonable and the food is average. What do you expect from a place like this? It's not five star dining, but I'm not expecting that here. It's a great place to feel like a kid again!!

We came here for lunch before going to a concert a couple weeks ago.  I was not expecting much, but was actually surprised over the quality (and quantity) of food we received.  Ordered several appetizer plates, and a large salad and everything was really good.  Then we played some games, and (surprisingly) won some tickets.  My biggest complaint was, we brought home a logo beer glass, and one washing, the silk screen was gone.

1 star for their horrible food and service.

I ordered a nacho cheese appetizer and the waitress was so so soooo rude when i asked for more cheese. She didn't even say a word to me and when she came back out with extra cheese she looked so annoyed. I mean the reason why i asked for extra cheese because there was no cheese on my damn nachos!!!

Anyways, what was most irritating is that she actually charged me for that extra cheese. I guess it count as a "cheese fondue" uhmmm what the eff.. could have told me that it was going to cost $3 for extra cheese.....

Also, their game machines are so funky! My bf played that one game where if you land on a line you get the jackpot amount.. He landed on the line a few times and the machine just skipped. We could have won so many tickets!

For the bar, service is super slow and they completely ignored you when you ask for water. How rude.

This review is only based on drinking/eating (not the games)

The food is pretty good for the type of place it is. The atmosphere is pretty awesome on the right nights. I usually always run into people I know here which can be a good/bad thing I guess.

I DO NOT recommend coming when it's not happy hour because the drinks are a tad pricey BUT if you come during late night happy hour which is like 10-close I think the drinks are all super cheap. All shots are half off so shots of Henny are only $5 which is totally awesome for me!

Great for later week nights with small groups of friends for sure!

I went here memorial weekend & the place was packed as expected.

My drink at the bar was poorly made but that was expected also. The bartender was rude & couldn't pour a drink right to save her life. All I got was a cranberry vodka, girl. How do you mess that up?

The experience was fun. There's a ton of games to choose from. The prize center is way overpriced though. You think you have a lot of tickets until you walk in there..

One of the games we were playing ran out of tickets when we won the bonus & we had to ask the people three times before they actually sent someone over. & to be honest.. I think that guy was just walking by and we just happened to flag him down.

Anyways, I know that I'll be back. Probably at a time where its not so busy..

    Pretty ghetto.

Staff friendliness seems to be polar opposite. Some are very nice, others barely acknowledge you.

They cycle in new games often enough to keep the games current, though, some of the older classics are out of order.

IMO, cost/gameplay ratio on the powercard is pretty good. $25 gave me and my girlfriend about 45min-1 hour of constant gameplay through a multitude of game costs.

$12 / hour on the pool tables. A pretty good price, but I think they should have a few dedicated tables with a max 2 game limit that you can enjoy via your power card.

    Food sucks.

The food here is way better than I expected. I got the Chicken Quesadilla, and it was sooooooo good! I don't remember what my friends got, but their entrees (some pasta with lobster and some entree that had yummy sliders mmmmmmm) were really good too. I also got a cocktail for half off right before happy hour was about to end.
I wish arcade games were less expensive though.

Decided to meet a friend here for drinks. Had never been here before. Siri got me all lost and I was driving around the lot asking people, none of which knew lol, then got a text to drive around back and that the sign was huge. Was surprised they had a cover charge on a Thursday and surprised they have cover charges at all for this place, but whatever, three bucks is nothing. The place is loud, way too loud for my tastes ha. Prefer casual lounges to drink or upscale bars, but good company here so didn't mind. Tons of games and stuff, but no interest in that (Not much of a gamer, but have become addicted to Candy Crush somehow fml)

Tried their Coronita, pretty good but a little too light for me. The first couple Sapphire and tonics were good, but the one we got at the bar at last call was atrocious. The bartender had a real attitude too (I've worked BOH before so I understand the nonsense of dealing with customers when the end of your shift is near, but the eye roll and whole diva schtick was laughable; she was ridiculous but I still left her a little tip. The sip of that "gin and tonic" that I was given was so disgusting, I don't think I've ever come back and brushed my teeth for that long and used as much mouthwash as I did after a night of drinks.

Will I come back? Sure, but I know what to avoid now. Probably play it safe next time and just get beer ha.

Omg.. MY VERY FIRST TIME AT DnBz... Tardy to tha party....

DAVE & BUSTERS's ...... What it reminds me of....
    A CHUCKEE CHEESE FOR ADULTS.

NOTE: fee to come in at 10pm and past that. No re-entering after leaving the facility.

Food: food is Okay. Same thing you'd find at an Applebee's or any chain restaurant.
Kids menu are pretty much the same as any other kids' menus at other restaurants. Had the Chicken Quesadilla sans Chicken. It was alright. A little on the spicy side. Fries were pretty good ... crunchy and not that oily.

Service: 18% gratuity for bigger parties. Our server was quite nice, attentive, and friendly.

Midway.... (Or whatever your call it.... "ARCADE" area) : Packed on weekends with youngins or adults holding alcohol in hand. Didn't really see too many young kids (aka Toddlers). I can't really rate this area since I didn't hang around here for that long. Games seem to be more catered to older kids and adults.  Definitely not Chuck E Cheese games.. That's for sure.

Verdict: would I come here again ?? Ehhh yeah... Maybe without the kiddo. Good for hanging out with a large group of friends to laugh and drink and maybe watch a game on the big screen TVs at the bar. I would definitely not choose this place just to eat out.

Came to have dinner here paid by our company and we celebrated our victory!  Oh yeah!!!

Man.... I think I'm an easy going guy and easy to please and I hardly give bad ratings but this one well.... I'll be diplomatic and 2 stars I think will suffice though it's more like 1.5 stars!

First off - service was bad.  Second - water pitchers came out but we had no glasses to fill it with.  Then appetizers came out but then we had no dishes to eat them with and no forks and spoon and napkins.  Then my "rare steak" came "well done!"  You really can't go wrong with steak.  To top that off, my lobster sauce on top of the noodles - well - they were blah and had no taste!  My coworkers dinner had the same blah and hardly anyone touch their meal.  I will say though that the appetizer well.... it's hard to go wrong with chips and dips!  That was "prolly" the best part of the dinner and the fact that we got our D&B cards charged up with 100 tokens + 100 tickets together!  So I guess it wasn't a complete loss!

Sorry D&B but I think  you need to hire more staff to wait on tables and really need to up your chefs on gourmet cuisine especially when some of your meals cost well over $20 and up each.  Just a suggestion!

    Cheers!

I went here a few years ago with some friends and coworkers for a birthday party. The place was lively but not crowded. I ordered buffalo wings and fries along with two drinks. It took about 45 minutes for the server to finally bring it out. It was not that crowded and only 3 people at our table of 9 had ordered anything by the time I had arrived. It was not that busy and we didn't order much so the wait time was inexcusable.

Then after we finished our meal, my girlfriend and I  waited about 30 MINUTES for them to finally check up on us and take our plates away. We stepped aside to use the restrooms and we come back and our party tells us the waiter came by and think we skipped the bill. Wow! We wait forever for this guy and he think we skipped the bill.

The food was overpriced, cold and bland. It took forever for them to serve it and he think we skipped the bill when we just went to the restroom for 5 mins. I found it appalling. On top of that an 18% tip was added for parties over 8 people. We only ordered buffalo wings! He only had to serve 3 people at our table of the 8.

Completely unacceptable! I will never go back again!

We've been here for parties from Stanford and we've had a good time.

I've also gone with friends - the restaurant is ok - not great - but when you want fun food its pretty darn good.

The main draw isi the arcade area and that is super fun.   We look for coupons (what is that on the back of my Safeway grocery store receipt tonight) but $20.00 in free play.) Yippee!

Dave and Busters - will see you soon again....

(Note: Parking is free but people often drive fast here so pay attention when walking into the place.)  have fun and win that coupons for free stuff....and I mean stuff .....

Dave & Buster's is a great once-a-year playground for the kid in us all.

However, every time you go back you realize why it's been so long since your last visit. Overpriced food, overpriced drinks & overpriced games (many cost a few dollars per game when you do the math). It's hardly the high-roller venue it's high-roller prices suggest as the most you'll walk out of their double-swinging doors with is a large purple hippo or a few handfuls of tootsie rolls.

Don't get me wrong, there are some redeeming factors to D&B's as well:

    1) It's a place where everyone can have fun.
    2) It's always kept up very nicely (more than I can say about the rest of the mall)
    3) There's so many games that you'll never have to wait very long for any one of them.

With that being said, this is hardly the weekly hangout or weekend stakeout. But, it's a fun place to let loose and get hyped on those jackpots once again.

My go to drink here is the Mai Tai although they do have a fairly decent drink selection.

I've been to this particular DnB's for multiple occasions and I don't have much to complain about other than the price of the food, drinks and games. Everything is way too overpriced but thats because its huge and they have everything at this location. (Karoke, Pool, Shuffle Board, Arcade games, drinks, food, etc)

I came here for a company offsite where everything was catered (Banquet style), we had an open bar and a loaded game card. For the amount of people we had (40+) the service was decent. I ordered a water and it never came. I ordered a shot and it sort of tasted watered down. I hear thats common for Dnb's but who knows.

Anyway, I'd only choose this place if i needed something practical for a fun filled evening. If I wanted a place just to drink and eat I probably wouldn't choose here.

Only way to enjoy D and B is to follow the directions below...

1: Eat somewhere else!!!! Trust me.. you will be better off at In and Out rather than spending your $$$ here which is just an overpriced Applebee's,

    2. Drink somewhere else!!!!! Trust me... you will be better off buying a bottle of Ciroc and Juice and just taking shots in your car while you wait for a good buzz to kick in.

Once inside.. spend 15 bucks on a card and get the free 10 bucks they give you.. and have fun!!!  The games are great!

    The End!

This may be slightly biased in the fact that our company paid for a team building off-site that was held here today. However, I was pretty happy with my second (first as a 21+) experience here. Here's the breakdown:

Location: There's only ONE Dave & Buster's in the Bay Area! This is good and bad. It probably helps keep up the demand (and thus better service), but it took almost an hour each way from SSF.

Food: They gave us a buffet lunch consisting of salad (with cherry tomatoes, cheese, and dressing on the side), roasted potatoes with rosemary, rice pilaf, steamed baby carrots, grilled salmon, roasted chicken, and bread rolls. The salad was typical. The roasted potatoes were pretty good, but nothing exceptional. The rice pilaf was decent and the baby carrots were just as you would expect from steamed carrots with a dab of butter. The salmon was a tad dry, but nicely flavored. I didn't try the chicken, but it seemed pretty moist. For dessert, they placed out a few trays of assorted cookies, brownies, and other sweet treats. They didn't look amazing, so I just had a bit of a brownie to satiate my sweet tooth and was disappointed as expected.

Drinks: They have quite an extensive drink menu! Our company provided us with 2 drink tickets per person good for ANYTHING (it literally said that on the ticket)! I asked the waiter for suggestions, so I gave the "Walk the Plank" a try. It was good, and quite sweet -- in fact it masked the alcohol pretty well. For my second drink, I tried the TNTea. It was so good! Normally I stay away from Long Islands because they're too strong for me, but this one was nicely balanced.

Games: They have some pretty good games geared for adults. Lots of group car racing games. Lots of shooting games. A big version of the basketball game. Sure if you want to earn tickets you can play the high output games, but since this was on company money, most of us just played for fun. There is an awesome giant claw game that probably works a little too well for an arcade game that's supposed to be difficult to win... Let's just say that quite a few people walked away with giant stuffed animals (myself included)!

Service: Everything was pretty well organized. They had a team building exercise, but it wasn't that exciting. The waitstaff was great at getting our drink orders, especially for such a large group -- a group that works hard and plays hard!

Overall: This was a fun place to have an off-site. The combination of free food, drinks, and games all with your friends/coworkers was pretty bomb. However, I can see how it can get pricey if you're paying out of pocket. Will I return? Since it's so far away, it would have to be for a special occasion; however, this is a cool place to drink and play with your friends!

Call me a kid, but I love this place! :)

Love the games they have, but they took away the DDR, that's enough to take away that one star of mine! LOL. The food is decent, kind of like a Chilli's or Fridays. Love the fact that they have everything in one: the arcade, bar, food area, and pool! An adult wonder world. Always have a good time here, getting a little alcohol in me to loosen up, then start playing games, and acting goofy.

It's a good time. You can always watch sports at the bar, too. The real reason for the 3 stars, instead of 4 or 5, was that it can get crowd and super loud. You have to wait a while for a seat at the bar or restaurant, sometimes the popular games, too. Everything here is expensive: pool, drinks, arcade especially. :(

This review is for their banquet area. My cousin had his 50th birthday party here. The billiards area was set aside for about 30 people. The pool tables turned into tables so when we were done with dinner, a padding on top of the table is removed and turns into a pool table.

The dinner buffet included chips and salsa, caesar salad, mixed vegetables, potatoes, chicken, rice pilaf and salmon on a bed of spinach. Very simple menu. The Cesar salad was literally completely drenched with the dressing so a bit less appetizing. Tried to look dig towards the bottom of the bowl for less dressing but was unsuccessful.  The potatoes and salmon were dry and lukewarm. The chicken was ok, had lots of herbs and feel off the bone.

Also need to be careful where you place your drink on the table because there are parts of the table that is not stable because of the mat on the pool table. Someone's beer spilled on someone because of that. I highly suggest ordering off the menu if you plan on having a large group dinner.

This place is fun with good company. But don't expect too much from a game-sit-in-restaurant-bar filled with kids running wild and adults sipping on alcoholic beverages.

Food - Doesn't match the price. They try... but I think they need to lower their prices because their food sucks. I ordered a salad and my lettuce was wilted. Another time I got fries and they tasted like they were out for a long time and were cold. Try eating at the food court or a restaurant nearby. You'll be more satisfied.

Games - Decent selection. Of course you would want to come here with fun friends, so as long as you make the best of it, you should be fine. Games are kind of expensive and earning tickets are not worth the price. But for the fun of it, I guess it's alright. Sense of achievement, I guess, for kids. I personally enjoy music rhythm games but all they have is Pump it Up and Guitar Hero. A DDR machine would be cool and maybe Drum Mania. There'always some game that is broken... for once I would like to see all the games work.

Drinks - I don't drink. I wouldn't know. If you're super cheap, hit up Bevmo and share with friends before entering.

Dress code - The sign at the front supposedly states something along the lines of a dress code. I don't think it applies. Unless you're under 21 at a certain hour, why would you get turned away? It's a friggin arcade for alchies. O_O

Bathrooms - Could be cleaner but I'm thankful that there are a lot of stalls.

Overall - alright. Lower your expectations, let loose, and you'll be fine and have fun.

Dave & Buster's is the place to go if you feel like grabbing a drink with friends, but don't feel like hitting up the bars downtown. They have a great happy hour; all cocktail drinks are half off and $1 off beers. I highly recommend trying their peach long island (my go-to drank!). Wednesdays are half off games, just remember to bring your old power card to recharge it, or else you will have to buy a new power card.

If you grew up in the San Jose/Milpitas area, be prepared to see familiar faces. Every time I go to DnB's, it's always a high school reunion.
