I used to be a skyclub member and and when I made diamond a couple years ago, I had it comped.  When Idropped back to Platinum, I didn't bother renewing because of how overcrowded the clubs were becoming.   It was hard to find a seat and electrical outlet during peak times, they started to remove the work cubicles out of clubs and the wifi was spotty.

I can still access the skyclub on international flights and am glad with the recent alcohol changes I didn't pay to renew.  In the past it was complimentary midshelf vodka and Gin, those have been replaced with Gordon's.   They are now charging $7 for a measured shot of Bailey's!!!   The free alcohol is awful and the alcohol they charge for you can get at a concourse restaurant or bar for less and a stronger pour.   There were only two beer choices and it was lousy beer like bud or miller on tap.

On my international trip a couple weeks back, we were travelling with another couple that had no status, but since they were on a business class ticket as well they were also able to enter the Skyclub for free.   One of the perks of an international business class ticket is free club access.    They fly international a couple times a year and were shocked at how poor the alcohol selections were on a $7,500 RT ticket.

About a month ago I was flying back from Vegas to RI (redeye flight), and had a three hour layover in ATL. I decided to use my Delta Skymiles Club membership perk and check in here for the duration of my layover. I arrived in Atlanta at about 6AM Eastern, so talk about being exhausted! Part of my reason of coming to this location was it was right where my departing flight was going to be at 9AM. I think at this point I was so zonked from being up for almost 24+ hours straight I'd fall right asleep. I ended up having coffee and a stale bagel (hadn't had anything to eat in about 10 hours).  I know Atlanta is home to Delta, and there's about seven total Sky Clubs at this airport alone, but I just really wish I had chosen a different one at Hartsfield. It was quiet, and I was glad I was able to take a nap. However, I think I picked the one club in the whole airport that didn't have showers (unless I missed them?). I've been to a few other Sky Clubs, and this one was my least favorite. Maybe I just caught it at an off time. I must say though, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

"We have an old saying in Delta, Don't get mad, get even!"  -- Animal House (1978)

It's so nice having a place to plotz while waiting for your flight where you can get a cocktail, snacks, nice facilities, free wi-fi and great staff.  What more do I need to say?

I've been frequenting the Crown Rooms (okay fine, Sky Clubs) for years now and I think I have been in all of them at Hartsfield-Jackson by now.  The staff is always so attentive and friendly, the drinks are stiff, the coffee is hot, the snacks are plentiful and the chairs are comfy (well, most of them).

This particular location can get pretty hectic and it can be tough to find a seat (or seats together if in a group).  But on slower travel days, it is rarely an issue.

Being one to always allow lots of lead time before my flight (you can't predict the security lines), I almost always hit the DSC for an hour or so to take a load off, have a drink and relax before mingling with the masses.  I'm never disappointed that I stopped by.

I have been a visitor of this Sky Club since 1997 - and it never disappoints.  Everyone is friendly and welcoming.  If you have flight issues it is the easiest and most efficient way to make changes.  At peak times if you want a beverage the lines can be long at the bar.  I drink just soda fountain drinks and would like to see a self serve for us non-adult beverage drinkers....but all in all it is my home away from home when traveling.

Had to blow some time in the Atlanta airport Sunday. I tried both B terminal then A terminal SkyClubs. Both staffs were friendly and worked fast when necessary to accommodate quick fast crowds. I was blown away with the size and ample staff in the A Terminal. This really helped kill the time with free drinks and assortment of good stacks.

Hard to believe that I haven't already reviewed every single Delta Sky Club in the Atlanta airport. After all I think I've spent several years of my life wandering the concourses and riding the endless Sky Trains to nowhere. Nonetheless my trusty Yelp application on my Android smartphone was quick to point out that I had yet to review this particular Sky Club in Terminal A, and so it was time for a visit.

As with all of the Sky Clubs, you enter at the terminal level and then either climb the stairs, or ride the elevator up to the Sky Room Lounge level. The red-coated Delta agents behind the desk are extremely friendly and able to help you adjust your reservations, alter a seat assignment, and basically do everything in their power to provide you with a pleasant traveling experience.

From there you'll see a large open seating areas with comfy swivel seats and small tables for your drinks and snacks. There are plenty of charging stations for your various devices, as well as TVs showing news and sports channels, and a scrolling information board with flight departure information.

If you're there in the afternoon, Delta puts out a very nice veggie, cheese, and snack bar spread which is complimentary. Earlier in the day you'll find yogurt, cereals, fruits and juices. In addition there is a full bar with complimentary sodas, water, juices, beer, wine, and cocktails.

Elsewhere in the club you'll find very private little seating areas for small groups, private work areas, and even some comfy secluded spots for taking a nap.

    Well done Delta!

You can only drink until Midnight here yall. But if you are stuck at a airport it is a life saver. Much easier to sleep in the terminal if you have bee drinking until 12. MERCY

Front counter was super nice but bartenders seemed put out.  No joke the guy came between me and my mom to clean a little coffee that left a ring on the table, really?? wtf??I have experienced better but place is big and roomy.

Thanks to a flight schedule snafu, I got to spend an unexpectedly long amount of time in the Terminal A Sky Club, and I have to say - not too shabby.  It has a number of distinct areas to explore with ample seating, so you have some options for seating.  It has a somewhat genteel atmosphere, which is absolutely appropriate to the region, and things just seem a little more relaxed and laid back compared to some of the newer, chic lounges that Delta has been building out.

Nice array of midday snacks and the bar, while not self-serve, doesn't appear to restrict their bartender's pours, or at least the guy making my drinks didn't let that pesky one ounce metered pour spout stop him.  I hope I didn't just get someone in trouble.

But the best feature of this Sky Club is how many power outlets there are.  They're everywhere.  Even when you've got Joe Road Warrior monopolizing an entire two-gang outlet with his phone and laptop and Kindle and whatnot, you're not far from another one.  The only reason I had to stretch my laptop power cord over the table is because the closest outlet was out of service.

Given that ATL is Delta's home base, you'd expect them to have a flagship elite lounge, and while I don't know that'd classify this as a showcase travel amenity, it certainly holds its own among the ones I've spent quality time in.

There are two Delta Sky clubs in terminal A - one in the concourse near gate 17 that usually packed to the gills and this one that I accidentally stumbled upon that's up on the 4th floor.

This one is one of the more spacious and serene clubs that I've visited recently.  The only draw back is getting there as it is a little hard to find. You take the escalator up to Chili's (3rd floor - one above the concourse level, go down the hall check in then take an elevator of stairs up another level.)  This club still has the older style, but much more comfortable (and clean) furniture and room to relax.

Much better than the typical packed Delta clubs.

I really enjoyed this place, I visited before my flight out of Atlanta, the Delta sky lounge came along with my first class ticket home back to LAX. I'm sure I would have enjoyed more had I had a long layover before flying out, this place was just so relaxing. I only got to enjoy the sky club for about an hour and spent most of time at the bar.

I struck up a long interesting and satisfying convo with the bartender who was also a artist :) She was amazing and made some killer drinks ;) Also, met some amazing people sitting at the bar who were on long layovers.

I found all the staff here very helpful and very kind, I look forward to coming back when flying out of Atlanta next :)

It's an okay bourgeoisie-type club that you would find with other airlines and other terminals. You get comfy chairs, drinks, snacks, reading materials and better looking airlines ladies who smile easily.

The Delta Sky Club located in Terminal A of ATL is quite large with enough seating during my mid day Delta connection to Las Vegas. A wide range of newspapers and magazines were available compared my past experiences with United Airlines Presidents clubs. I enjoyed some yogurt, cheese and crackers, snack mix and some drink for about 10 minutes when my connecting flight was available for boarding. It is always nice to be away from the main stream airline passenger crowds.

I am pretty sure this was the first crown room I had ever been in.  I remember it being much smaller, with fewer windows.  Well hell, I only came for the drinks.

I had the pleasure to check this place out again the other night, as my return flight home was on A3.   I like the new fancy blue doors that lead you to either the steps or the elevator.  I usually take the steps...

Then, as you walk up, you can sooo tell they knocked out a wall, as it looks the place has doubled, if not tripled in size.  And there are plenty of computers loaded with t-mobile's hot spot.

I just came at this time to use the restroom, as I was ready to get home.  The restrooms were pretty small for the size of the actual club, and I hope they look into that...

I would say it's a nice quiet place, but the new size of this place kind of makes that hard now...

I have been to Both Sky clubs delta offers on terminal A.

The Center Club is located up stairs above express spa.
This location has a smaller bar , can get crowed in the mornings.

Location at A17 is a little bigger, Huge bar and more seat space then the center club.
A17 was remodeled last year with new seats, carpeting and  more power outlets through out the club.
They also have two snack bar in the front and back of the club.
If my flight is on terminal A i always check in at the A17 club then the center club.
I know I can get a seat and a power cord for my computer

There are two Sky Clubs on Concourse A.  One at the center of the concourse and one near gate A17.  I have been to both numerous times, so I am writing this review for both (since there aren't separate entries for each club).  I prefer the Center Concourse club over the club at A17, but I'm going to list pros and cons of each.  My rating is an average of the two clubs.  The Center Club gets four stars, the A17 Club gets two.

If you're reading this, you've probably been to a Sky Club before.  You know the basic routine... some free snacks, free booze... these clubs are no different.  They have a bar with a bartender (no self serve), and there are no showers.

Center Concourse Sky Club - This is the larger of the two clubs and it's a little bit better laid out.  There are numerous semi-private cubicles for you to work, and there are a lot of compartmentalized areas to cut down on the noise.  However, if the wide open space is for you, there is some of that as well.  Hungry?  Want more than the free food they serve?  Visit the Chili's just a few steps away.

Pros - Semi Private Work Cubicles, more private compartmentalized areas, can be pretty quiet depending on where you sit.  Plenty of restrooms.  Food is in a centralized location.  I also prefer it for the views of the planes.

Cons - Smaller bar.  Smaller check in desk.  Always very crowded.  During peak travel times, it can be hard to find a seat here.

Gate A17 Sky Club - This is the smaller of the two clubs, and by smaller I mean smaller relative to the other club.  It's still a pretty good sized place.  It's a wide open floor plan and it can get quite loud.  (I am writing this review from this club, where I have been listening to the details of this guys conference call.  He's sitting 50 feet from me, and I can hear every word... heck, with all I know from this call, I could probably do the man's job).  There are limited "quiet places" here... also the restrooms are tiny.  Every time I go in there, I have to wait in line.

Pros - Not quite as crowded as the Center Concourse Club, bigger bar, more people available at the check in desk.

Cons - Not enough restrooms.  Two urinals, two stalls in the men's room.  Wide open floor plan gets pretty loud no matter how many people are here.

Possibly the best club I've ever been in in the US. Very comfortable seats, lots of power outlets and tons of space that make for a very quiet space. And of course, the Delta free food and drink options. Love it!

Haven't been in lately but it seems more roomy. The bar's the same but the upper deck is now open with benches, tables and comfortable seating.

Definitely not crowded on a Saturday. The bar are is the same but the rest of the place has either new furniture or is now open throughout.

This is a big Sky Club.  As such, I think it's much better than the ones they've added down toward the ends of the concourses.  It can get crowded, but it's big enough that if I look around, I can always find a seat.

I love the hot oatmeal they have for breakfast.  That and a yogurt and I'm good to go.

They also stock carrots, celery stalks, crackers, cheese, and olives, along with crackers, humus, and cookies.  They have the standard SkyClub-issue esspresso/latte machine, which is nice.  Oh, and a bar!

    Free beer makes me happy.

    Layovers made fun and productive.

Attractive, well-stocked bar (although I'm usually swilling coffee.  Leinie, Molson, and Sweetwater on tap, along with Lite, Killian and silver bullet.  Big selection of other stronger stuff.

Staff is attentive, energetic and friendly.

Lots of seating, TVs and plugs.

I've been using this Crown Room, ahem, Sky Lounge for about 10 years. It was recently updated but is still one of the more crowded club locations. As always, the staff is excellent, and since the addition of top shelf liquors (for a fee) you now can relax in more luxury than ever. 4 stars.

I will apologize ahead of time if I was at a different Sky Club other than Terminal A - I've been to SEVERAL Atlanta Sky Clubs which have all been equally challenging.

First and foremost, I am very appreciate of this club that comes complimentary with my Amex black card.  Truth be told, I pay a lot of $$$ to have special experiences with my card, and the Atlanta Sky clubs fall way short of the standard perk these sky clubs are suppose to be.

Delta flies a LOT of us through Atlanta, so while it's great that they have a LOT of clubs, none of them come close enough to being large enough for all of the passengers trying to use them.  This last trip through I felt lucky to even get a seat.  It was a bar stool and I was lucky to get that because it was the last seat left in the place.

The bathrooms were co-ed and they were clean - and I was shocked one was available because there were only a couple.  The snacks were average compared to other Sky Clubs - here they have special local cookies which are ok/good.  What grabbed me most of my last Altanta Sky Club location was the bartender - who was very busy trying to serve the over-crowded and uncomfortable room.  She didn't bother putting a straw in anyone's drink no matter what they ordered.  There was a straw dispenser on the bar and it was clear she expected us to participate in serving our drinks by obtaining our own straws (seriously - I've never seen anything like it nevermind at what is suppose to be a high-end establishment).

The place didn't seem as clean but perhaps that was because of the mass crowds of people - some of which did not have seats.  And it seems like this particular Sky Club was washing dishes for another location because staff were rolling large trolleys of something through the crowded lounge.  Overall, it was not the relaxing, accommodating experience I've come to enjoy in the Delta Sky Clubs.

A couple years ago when flying through another Atlanta Sky Club, I also encountered the worse customers service of my life.  We had a lady screaming at us over trying to use/pay for the wifi in the Sky Club.  While I know we no longer have to pay for wifi today, I will never forget being hollered at in a Sky Club by the staff, and the staff's dismissive attitude at their poor service.  According to yelp - a 2 star rating states "Meh. I've experienced better."  - and Atlanta, I surely have!

I was able to enjoy some peace and quiet during an extended layover at ATL recently.  Don't know how new this space is, but it seems nice compared to the other ATL SkyClubs I've been to on the other concourses.   Even though there were lots of folks there, it never felt too crowded.  The veggie & cheese bar was decent as well.

As much as I dislike the wasteland of ATL, this Sky Club is an oasis.

Yup, it's the least crowded of the Atlanta Sky Clubs.  I'm a big fan because I'm accustomed to the lackluster service at the Continental President Clubs.  The snacks, drink selection, and wifi are leap years ahead of Pres Clubs.  Too bad I almost never fly Delta.  Use your AMEX Platinum for free entry into this (and any) Sky Clubs.

Delta Sky Clubs--a nice break from travel craziness.  We don't drink nor eat the food, but the cubbies are great to work at, there are usually plenty of free magazines to read, and the staff is friendly, efficient & professional.

Sad about the 6am opening at some of the clubs.  We are 1st-flight-out type of folks & we like the 4:30-45 open time better.

Clean and modern SkyClub with a fairly open layout.  Plenty of TVs for catching the games and rather attentive bar/wait staff.  WiFi is a bit slow but I imagine if you are there when there is less foot-traffic that would improve a bit.

One of the better sky clubs I've been to in the US.  However, they do not have the new nut mix yet.  There is a lot of space and various types of seating.  It got a little loud in the main seating area, but is a great place t grab a drink before a flight.

A not so quiet island in the sea of humanity. Called ATL.

Been here a few times...you would think that when you walk in and are returning from an International Flight and a loyal Delta customer you might feel some love...Oh no! It was KMA from the minute we walked in...sheesh!

Been thru here a time or too...the main lounge is under reno...we went upstairs...next time I will try another terminal.

We left feeling like we wished that we were still in the AeroMexico Lounge which was far superior BOTH times on this trip...

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one person to dissolve the flight delays which have grounded him with another.  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all delays are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are somewhere to sit, something to do and the pursuit of free alcohol.

My journey to the land of the sun (Los Angeles) was rudely delayed by a hovering weather system of scattered t-storms.  Despite checking for delays before I left for the airport, the bad news would not be brought to light until I had arrived.  At first glance, the news was not so bad, 1 hour 15 minutes.  Perfect, I would have enough time for a drink or two.  Off to the Sky Club.

As fate would have it, it was packed.  There was not a seat to be found.  No worries though, a nice ledge would suffice.  I tossed back a cold one at a leisurely pace.  Glancing at a clock, I would have just enough time for another.  With that out of the way I began to head for the exit.  To my dismay, yet another hour was added to the delay.  Oh my, what to do?  I would oblige another drink...and a shoe shine.  It seems the shine man was thankfully on duty.  Better yet, I now had a seat.  Shine man was on point, at $6 his work was beyond the price.  Another glance at the clock; do I quickly pound another drink or relax leisurely instead?  Thoroughly perplexed, the deciding factor would be economics.  Unlike most other airlines lounges, all drinks are free in the Sky Club.  Another it would be.  I'm about  done with my beverage when I see the departure board flicker, another update would display another hour added to the delay.  OK, time to re-assess.  I haven't eaten a bite all day and I'm feeling a lil too nice.  Adieu to the Sky Club, I would need to depart and eat, free snacks would not suffice.

About an hour later I am thankfully nourished.  I am in no condition to drive or fly, but alas, I don' t need to.  A quick glance at the departure board...yet another hour has been added.  I look towards the departure gate and it's a mob scene.  I mean it is packed and worse yet, these folks haven't been indulged with free liquor for the past few hours.  Cowardly, I would slither back to the Sky Club.

Fortunately;  there's a seat at the bar.  As soon as I sit my bartender friend slides me a drink.  I didn't want to be a lil biatch, so I saluted him instead.  I'm thinking my previous tips on the free drinks would be my undoing.  At this point I have no sense of time.  By the end of the drink I'm certain the sandman is sprinkling bits of sleepy dust in my eyes as I'm hearing the baa-baa of sheep.  I'm swirling the last sip of my drink when the bartender snatches the glass in my hand and says "I got you, bro" and hands me another.  I'm not certain if I will make it through another hour.

Thankfully, hour 4 would be the last.  I take full advantage of my Breezeway pass and wobble past the pissed off masses waiting to board.  Folks are definitely not happy on this flight with the exception of the few red, beady-eyed souls like myself that have been roughing it in the Sky Club.

Qualify any review of the Sky Club with the following: Where would you rather pass a 4 hour delay; an over-priced and over-crowded airport bar, a cramped, noisy and uncomfortable departure gate, or a happy refuge where you can get a shine and be pressured to consume as many free drinks as possible?

    I thought so.

This is my favorite ATL Crown Room simply because the bartenders are really nice.  It is also a fun Crown Room because you can sit at the bar and watch sports on one of several TVs and people like to talk to each other here.  It is very crowded, though - maybe that is why people talk to each; they're just so near each other.  I generally have no problem getting snacks here but, then again, I am pretty quick.  Sometimes by the windows it can get a little warm.  But, if you can get a window seat, it is fun to watch the planes.

Not the best Crown Room I've been in.  Here's why:

    1.  This is a very big concourse.  Big concourse = big crowds.  All of whom are like me - business traveler or random scallywag who has an Amex Platinum.

    2.  Lots of competition for snacks.  When they put out the apples, oranges, carrot/celery sticks, cheese sticks, crackers, beer nuts, nutella, and cookies, the hordes come out to rape and pillage the stuff.  Most of the time before I notice since I'm about 4 scotches into my stay by the 20 minute mark.

    3.  Not a lot of seating.  Honestly this room is designed to hold about 100 people with bar seating - but will usually have about 200 at any given time.  Big boo.

Not my favorite - I've actually started going to different concourses since it's only a 10 minute walk to either T or a tram ride to C.
