Makes me pine for an English pub! The service here is so pathetic there should be another word for it. And the food is mediocre, so all I can say is, the floor is pretty clean. TVs? Sure, but I have nearly as many at home. If that is the definition of a sports bar I need to start charging admission.
Review Source:Diamond Plate is our neighborhood sports bar, and it is always a sure bet for a fun rowdy night! Â It is a great place to grab some stiff drinks, play a game or two of darts or pool, and get some sweet tunes going on their jukebox! Â I love those jukeboxes where you can search for virtually any song you can think of--it looks like a giant mp3 player :-)
The food at DP is standard issue bar food, although my friend and I were very impressed with their giant plate of nachos!
this place is great. my good friend that was my best man at my wedding and was trying to date my sister at the time ended up running away with my wife... things worked out and i would come here every day after work. i met my now 3rd wife there and i still come back to this day. great atmosphere and within walking distance. just ask one of the regulars, Brian or otherwise known as, "The D.P." this place is great!
Review Source:Seriously,
What is up with the old guys screaming at the TV during the Giants games like little kids?
Its like they haven't got laid in 5 years.
My boyfriend plays for the Rivercats and those kind of fans are the ones the players roll their eyes at.
The bartender was cool but the schoolgirls screaming like biatches wasnt.
It was just me and a girlfriend, but dont worry, we wont be back.
There are other sports bar around here where everyone else doesnt have to deal with that kind of crap.
The company that owns that place should think about their business.
i was desperate to catch a bit of the Pats game yesterday so off the bestie and i go on an adventure to find a bar around Antelope with nfl ticket. Â
we ended up here. Â upon entering we were immediately surrounded by a dense blanket of locker room stained heat. Â the place flat out smelled like too much testerone, phys ed, and booze. Â no biggie to me if you have great ventilation, but theirs was leaving the door open and hoping for a breeze?!?
the bartender was a snot so maybe the stench was getting to her too. Â i took my drink and liter of beer and sat down in the corner to watch the game. Â after numerous chants and sing-a-longs by the middle aged frat boys we decided to leave Animal House behind. Â would i return? Â probably, if i want to catch a game in no man's land again...
Ever heard of the show "Cheers", a place you go "...Where everybody knows your name?"
That's the definite vibe I get whenever I come by here. I have a friend that literally calls this his second home since he lives a mile away, and every visit has here been nothing but great. Though I may not be from the area, the bar staff and some of their loyal patrons go out of their way and try to strike a conversation to make you feel more welcome here. I'm usually in the Midtown Sac area, but it's always nice to go to a casual atmosphere like this once in awhile. A couple of beers, darts (still prefer the metal tips!), and great company all around, sometimes I wish Citrus Heights has a place like this!!
FInally made it here today for first time. Â Because the work lunch bunch wanted to catch some World Cup semi-final action, I thought it would be a great time to try this place. Â
Although I did not indulge, I was very impressed with the beer selection on tap (Racer 5!, too!). Â We did indulge on some great burgers, which were very satisfying. Â Excellent table service from the bar tender as well. Â Comfortable setting, No complaints... Im a fan! Â Will be back soon, Im sure.
My business partners and I recently visited this bar and grill to conduct a relaxed meeting. Â Since it was just passed lunch, there was no problem finding seating. Â We were attended to right away, and our hostess was very helpful. Â I ordered garlic fries which were solid, and the drinks I ordered were even better! Â I would recommend this neighborhood bar and grill to anyone.
Review Source:I love this place, bartenders are always nice and friendly, I've been going here since September when my friend first took me, she knows 4 of the bar tenders. Drinks are strong, good and cheap, lots of TVs, good music, pool, dart boards. Good environment, and everytime I go in, around 1-2 times a month, there's always been other friendly laid back customers. And the garlic fries are SOOOOO YUMMY!
Review Source:We thought this place would be cool but quickly found out that it is not. Â We had called ahead to see if they would be playing the Sharks game and were told that yes, they would be showing it. Â When we got there, the Sharks game was nowhere to be found and so were the patrons, the place was pretty freaking dead. Â When we walked in, both of the people working turned and looked at us, but neither one said hi or greeted us in anyway. Since the game wasn't on, the place was dead and obviously the staff wasn't going to be friendly we decided to leave. Â As we turned to leave and go out the door several people turned around and said 'bye' 'call me' 'have a good night' 'come back again' but it was all said sarcastically and rudely. Â As we made our way to the parking lot five people, including two workers, came out side and were staring us down giving us dirty looks while we got in our cars. Â WTF?! I don't understand what the rude comments and dirty looks were for. Â And the fact that the workers couldn't even be bothered to greet us or say hi when we came in but could take the time to follow us outside and give us dirty looks when we left is just bad business. Â This experience was so terrible that I seriously doubt I would ever step foot in this place again. Â There is no way I want to spend my time or money in an establishment with such rude workers and customers! But, on the other hand I do believe in second chances so maybe, just maybe (if I was dragged there) I would go again. If I do I'll update this review, and hopefully have better things to report.
Review Source:A few coworkers and I went here to catch a game of the finals. Â We've been going to different places for each game and this one, by far, had the best crowd. Â This is a small place in the far back corner of the Save Mart plaza.
Reasonable drink prices. Â I love the 32oz megamug they offer. Â Their selections are good too. Â TVs at every corner, and a projector setup. Â Nice for watching the game. Â The crowd was diverse which is cool, but what was best was they were basketball fans. Â They were into the game for the full 48 minutes. Â Lots of cheering, and TASTEFUL trash talking. Â I had the hot wings here, and they had them just how I like them (not wet a sloppy).
They also have a couple of pool tables and dartboards.
The group I went with had a great time here. Â I'd definitely go again for another sport event. Â Thursdays are Karaoke nights. Â 32 oz beers + Karaoke = I swear I sound better than Freddie Mercury!
