Maybe we just ordered the wrong things; while looking like a very large portion  the fish and chips had at least a 1/2" coat of breading on it with some fish inside.  The 'Benito' was veggies, noodles, and choice of  meat with a sickly sweet bottled teriyaki sauce drenched in it.  The spinach salad with hazelnuts, blue cheese and strawberries was very good.  I don't need to make a special trip to go back.
Review Source:This place is a hidden gem!!
8 of us randomly bumped into this place when we were spending a half-day off at Hood River area from a summer program in Portland. Everything we ordered from the menu exceeded our expectation!! Even a dish as simple as Mac and Cheese can be so delicious!
The Grilled Tenderloin Steak with Cherry and Wine Sauce that I ordered was surprisingly amazing . Cherry and wine balances perfectly with the strong "meaty" taste of grilled tenderloin steak. Oh and the steak was also perfectly grilled, so juicy! Cooked arugula had a little bit of bitter taste. It worked fine for me when it blended to the sweeter taste of cherry and wine. Roquefort.cheese gave the plate an interesting twist, too.
I also loved Divots Fries a lot! Ideal for finger food, couldn't stop eating it.
We had lots of dramas during the meal...such as fly dived into glass of wine, cheese dipping dropped into glass of martini...and so on...the waitress was very nice and did whatever she could. It was an amazing dining experience.
And Divots has great views!
If I visit Oregon next time, I will definitely dine at Divots again.
Always enjoy divots. Â It's not in the heart of downtown, which is nice cause you miss the crowds of tourists. Â This has great outdoor seating with the best view of Mt. Hood...when it's clear of course! Â My husband and I had our rehersal dinner here and I actually enjoyed the meal more than the one catered at the wedding! Â Staff is always friendly. Â If I was a visitor I would make the trek to the heights for the view alone.
Review Source:We have been to Divot's at least 6 times over the past 18 months and they have never disappointed us. Their outside tables offer the absolute best view  of Mt Hood that we know of. It's in your lap, big time. That sets the stage for an inspirational event right from the start and enhances the dining experience 3-fold. The golf course greens are set in the foreground of the sharply pointed peak are reminiscent of of pages from a fairy book. We usually go for their happy hour which runs from 3-6pm. Ceasar Salad, Ahi Tuna, Quesadillas, Mini French Dip and more are all in the $3 range per item. Quite good for the low prices they charge. The service is excellent and beer and wine selection equally as good. Inside the restrooms are very clean and you can browse the pro shop for the latest golf bags, golf shoes, and any other golf related gear you might be looking for. I'm not a golf guy, but it's such an inviting atmosphere I was inclined to hit a bucket of balls (the driving range is less than 50 feet away from the outside patio) after dinner and drinks. Hey, I could really fall in love with this game!
