Dogs N Suds

Very fun for the kiddos. Great grubb. Always have some sort of specials going on. Love it!

Two stars because it's totally fun to drive up and eat a hotdog and drink a frosty mug of root beer in your car.

Lack of stars because the food is not that great.  The footlongs are realllllly cheap meat hotdogs and the chili sauce burned thru my gut the rest of the night.  Ew.

The rootbeer is pretty blah if it doesn't come in the frosty mug (so don't waste your money and buy the 2 liter for $2.89!).

It's just kinda one of those things that is fun to take kids for an "experience" more than quality.

The teenage kids that were working were super nice, fast and beyond polite----a nice welcome from other teenage-staffed places.

I'm a total tard.

Actually, I'm careful about my caloric intake.  Yeah, I know the whole deal: balance 40-40-20, 6 light meals a day between 200 and 400 calories each depending on weight objectives and workout schedule, nothing processed or white, lots of veggies, lots of water, aerobic to get things circulating, weights for the burn and interval core training for total fitness - OK? Got it.

Yet...on the expressway, driving past a Dog-n-Suds and my whole mind just goes to mush.

These dogs (chili, no cheese, onions) sucked.   I can't say they were cold but they sure weren't warm either - more like body temperature. Plus they were light on the chili - which was sort of sweet so I didn't miss it that much.  

You know the worst part? I knew how bad they were after the first bite and yes - I ate em both...sigh. Sonic - the market is wide open Bub.

I didn't get fries and I did get a diet root beer :))))  Sooo...I'll start back on the 40 40 20 tomorrow. Word up dude.
