Logan's Roadhouse

This place reminds me of the old adage:
Do you want:
Good food
Good service
Cheap prices

Pick one!

This place reinforces the belief that you can only get one of the above,  The prices are reasonable, service is marginal (at best), and taste / quality of food you are served is marginally better than what you get at the Golden Arches.

We went on a weekday night at about 6 PM and took a while to get a waitperson to take our orders.  After doing so, took a while to get the food, but she was johnny-on-the-spot about the alcoholic refills for our guest (a theme that continued throughout the time we were there), but for anything else, forget it, you would never see it.

The hot foods were served tepid and the foods that should have been cold were as well (notice a theme here?)  The taste was OK, nothing special, but not atrocious and was cooked at least the way we ordered it.  (Wife wants her filet well-done which means they have to butterfly it and cook it usually, to get it right.)  

Hadn't been to this place for a while and now I remember why not.  If wanting beef in this category and price range soon, will try competitors.

I'm not sure if this pal e has changed to anyone else, as far as my family and I it's gone downhill. 1 star for service: very very slow. Clueless at times. With only two table to serve she wasn't around much and we had to ask several times for waters our first batch of rolls and the bill. We went around 3 pm. Virtually empty. Wait staff was eating rolling silverware and huddled in a group talking and nothing else. Our food took 35' to come to the table. All we order was a kids meal salad and steak med rare!  Not a lot to do for our food. It came out With fries cold steak warm and chicken warm. 2 stars for the taste of the food. It tasted fine

I stopped by for a mid-week, early lunch. I was in a suit and tie, which might have clued the servers in that I was in a hurry, even though I had some time to kill. They were extremely attentive bringing the food quickly and keeping my water filled. I had the anything & everything salad, which was a fine lunch item. I never have been to a Logan's, but I would certainly consider it again if given the option among other chains.
