This place used to be HT Canes...so no confusion may follow.
Great local atmosphere here. Â While I'm not a resident of the neighborhood I'm sure numerous customers would know me if I was and walked by Domain. Â During my visits it seems every customer knows every other customer...in a way it is a small town bar and not a dive bar.
Drinks are mad cheap. Â I kept thinking they were messing up my tab...then again..it could just have been Florida prices...but they still felt cheap.
The food is typical pub fare with some added specialties. Â I didn't eat nor did I see anyone who did so I cannot attest to the quality. Â On your own there.
Service...super friendly and attentive. Â After several visits they knew me and were guessing my drink.
Ambiance-Inside is so-so...step above Floridian dive bar/restaurant average. Â The outside bar is fantastic. Â Great views of the bay and people watching vantage point. Â There is a lot going on on this corner and the Gulfport "beach" nearby.
Quality...this is where it lost it for me. Â Now, you can discount the rest if you are not like me and that is understandable...I'm an elitist beer snob.
The most enticing option...really...is Landshark Lager. Â This is a poor option at best...only on a sweltering day would this be really worth the $3...the rest is very basic domestic mega-brews. Â Bottles...I'm sorry to say...only made the situation worse. Â The Heinekens and Stellas were obviously not stored properly and the taste suffered tremendously. Â I think they're basically just used to turning over case after case of bud lights. Â If that right down your alley then great...if not you'll be disappointed...
I mean so close to the Caribbean...have some Red Strip or Dragon Stout...some Cuban beer...or even more local brews...
I'll be back...and if I'd live there I would try to correct the beer issue...and go quite often.
You should try it out.
