My review is based on a very limited experience but a lovely one at that.

We went to a different restaurant for dinner in Gulfport. It was ok, nothing special, but we knew we didn't want to stay there but didn't want to go home yet.

We walked along the quaint downtown area and stumbled into the patio of Peg's Cantina.

We decided to order drinks and dessert.

First off, the patio is so pretty. Lush gardens surround you and transport you to a different place.

We started with some craft brews for the husband and sangria for me.  We looked over the menu of desserts with one of the friendliest servers ever.  I am horrible with names but she was German and a sheer delight.

She suggested the blueberry cheesecake.  Typically - I hate cheesecake and I would never order any dessert with blueberries.  I love blueberries alone or to pop in some yogurt but this dish sounded gross to me.

She said, "trust me".  I said, "what the hell".

Boy o Boy am I glad we listened.  It came out on a pretty vintage plate which reminded me of being at my grandmother's house.  The cheesecake was great to share and so darn yummy.

That is really all I can comment on the food but the service and friendly staff, the beautiful gardens and the food that poured out to the tables amongst us will definitely bring us back.  I will then write a deeper review.

Pegs has become one of my favorite pitstops any time I am in St. Pete. It is over in Gulfport but I can't rationalize going to St.Pete without the detour! The food is pretty good for mexican but the star that steals the show is the beer! It has to be the beer! Yet you cant enjoy the beer the same without nachos with the teriyaki pulled pork or a delicious mojo burrito.

Then comes the beer! Do a flight with the full lineup! Every beer they have is delicious and my main problem is I never know which I want to bring home. I am normally an IPA fan but the temptation is great to switch it up every time when I visit. They sell 32 ounce growlers so you can savor the beer later at your house.  Each time I go I tend to adopt one more growler than I had prior to make my trip that much more fruitful.

To sum it up.... Go! and Drink Beer!

Home of Cycle Brewery ( before they open their new location) and food.  What could go wrong?  Pretty much nothing except Florida is hotter than a habanero in hell.  Cycle Brewery's beer ( with most florida's craft beer) is citrusy and light.  Which is a good thing because of how hot it is.  Free Chips and salsa with checkin, hell to the mothertrucking ya! After this we did a fish spread appetizer which was pretty good, but not the best.  Though the frito bandito was enough to make up for this.  Plus its just so fun to say
